What a pleasant surprise for me.

A player I always wanted in our club has signed.

We have purchased for 3.5 mil euros Nicola Amoruso from Reggina, one of the most underrrated players in Serie A history and one of the most natural born strikers.

I am sure he will score at least 12 goals for us next season as a third striker.

Good player, but for 3.5mill. Is Lotito out of his mind. I thought we are a club that is in debt. How the hell are we going to sell him off to make some money back?

I think Lotito must be hiding something and the accounts must be rather healthier than before.

But I would rather sign him on the free than pay 3.5mill.

Better 3.5 for Amorusso than 12 mil for Bianchi. Surprised

this means the Bianci option will not be taken
at this price it is a risk, but if he starts to score, I don't mind that

It is great player , only his age as you said might be a reason to worry. But if he stays healthy , I am sure he can give us a lot of good moments next season. It is a risk , but hopefully it will worth it.

actually Amoruso is 33 years old (will be 34 when the new season starts) and the transfer fee in 2.5m pounds (3.17m euros)

Bianchi is gone although Lotito is still looking at some South Americans

I have it on good word from a Uruguayan Nacional fan that Fornaroli would be well suited to Serie A and is highly likely to be a Lazio player next year

That much for a 33+ yr old, just 'wonderful'. The upcoming mercato doesn't seem to be any different from 07/08.

We must drop Tare now. He would do OK as a 3rd striker. But really, 3m euros and a salary of 700.000/season is too much. No

Paying that amount of money of transfer fee plus his salary is doing harm to the very limited transfer budget. This is a big mistake. Don't take me wrong, Amoruso is I cite "naturall killer, underrated striker" but I am strongly convinced that this is a big mistake. I think that it would be better if we could stick to the Bianchi, at least he has a future in front of him. I'm somehow convinced that Rocchi and Pandev have isolated him in front.
What I am saying is that instead of spending of that amount of money for 33 year old striker, it would be better to spend on 19 or 20 year talent, in the case that you do not want to keep Bianchi.
Julio Cruz is similar age, but he was "fresh", because in the past few seasons he did not played many games for Inter, and Amoruso played 30+ games per season for couple of seasons, and "mother natuer" has done damage as well.

If we ,, stick with Bianchi " we will pay a lot more amount of money for transfer and salary and the harm will be much more to the club. We should only concern about his health , I hope this time the risk will worth it. I have always liked him..

I don't know about this deal man, surely Amoroso is a very good player, but 3.5 million euro is a bit too much for a 34 years old striker.. I would have gone for someone younger, Bianchi isn't an option, as he costs us too much, we couldn't afford him, and he doesn't worth that much anyway...

What happens with Makinwa? is he staying or leaving?

I would welcome Amoruso to Lazio but not for 3.5m! Also how long is his contract? Knowing Lotito it will be 4 years at 700k! No

I dont think it is confirmed as of yet. I read either Baronio or Inzaghi could be part of the deal, which would make it a tad better. We need to get rid of those two, their wages take the piss. Amoruso is actually a decent player, and i think he will prove to be useful to us next season, but as many of you say he is costing us a tad too much. In any case, welcome Amoruso. Honour the jersey.
