Lazio need a player that can put the ball in without missing 100 chances per game as Pandev or Rocchi do!? something like Batistuta, Trezeguet, F. Inzaghi and Rud (of course I don't mean those players by name, but a quality striker in front of the goal within our budget).

Rocchi-Pandev are good duo but not necessary the best that Lazio can afford! we scored last year 47 goals (the 11th position in Serie A) which is still not quite impressive, of course not to mention that Rocchi and even Pandev got lost with strong defence like that of Milan!

Rossi tactics that doesn't depend on a strong striker on the air with good balls feeding from the R & L flanks or backs also account for lack of goals along with Mauri's and Meghni's disastrous form last year.

the msg I want to delevir is that Amourso (and even Palacio) are not the missing man that we need!!

Never trust goal.com...this is just a rumour, nothing official yet.

Reggina president Foti has said that Amoruso will find an agreement with Lazio tomorrow. I think people have been a bit hasty with these "we have signed" threads. Wait for confirmation folks!

I actually believe Pandev and Rocchi are good enough, Rocchi is a consistent scorer and passionate, I think strengthening in other areas is far more important in this point in time

he will be a good purchase..

one of the best italian strikers around... and still hasn't finished his form.. maybe until 2 or 3 years he will still be useful.
better throw 3,4 million euro on him than 3 million euro on the "too" young Muslera or another "could be good" (or the other way around) joe.

He's not C.Vieri or other players that should have finished their career by now (Opa Balotta? bom ) He's still on a good shape and form, 12 goals last season was one of the proves, let alone his presence (and Foggia) made Bianchi scoring 18 goals 2 seasons ago..

I have always liked the guy and thought he would be a good addition to the Lazio squad. I still think that is the case and am glad Lotito purchased him. My only concern - like a majority here, is that perhaps Lotito paid a bit too much for Nicola considering his age. But looking at this statistics in the last 2 or 3 seasons I think it is fair. He basically saved Reggina - along with Bianchi and Foggia. I assume he will be 3rd choice striker behind Rocchi and Pandev. Either way he is signed with Lazio and I really wish him all the best in the Lazio jersey!

Grazie Amoruso!!!!

Lazio is at terrible at confirming and presenting players. Is he a done deal? I am really2 excited about him. Even more so than Zarate. He has great character, proven goalscorer in Serie A, and could be one that we could count on to carry us through the tough times.

While i agree with you to an extent, the fact is that he will be 34 soon and paying 3.5m Euros is far too much. Plus, now that we have signed Zarate and Kozac, i highley doubt we need him anymore. Money saved, imo.

As you probably all know by now, Nicola Amoruso has been bought by Torino. This was communicated by Reggina´s official website (It must be great to have that privilige). I thought I would post it here anyways, in order to put a happy end to a dreadful topic.
