Laziale?Who?

Lorenzo De Silvestri, indeed. He's well-known for his Lazialita'.

This man is who you call a laziale?

With all my respect & no offence, but isn't it normal that a professional footballer wants to play? It's very important for his career.

Did he show he is better than Lichtsteiner ? NO! He is young and talented but he has to be ready to wait for his chance and use it. He had it and didn't show that he deserves to be a starter.

What gets me is that he had one season of regular football, then a competitor for his RB slot arrived, he seemed to deteriorate in quality whilst Lichti consistently performed. He was on the bench more often than not as when he played he was below the standard of Lichti. I did't see any willingness to fight for a place, I did't see any realisation that maybe it's your performance that gets you in the team. When Davide Ballardini arrived, I hoped that maybe Lorenzo would see it as a challenge to get in the team under the new boss. It seems as though his mind was made up and he got above himself. I am sad, as everyone, that we have lost another young player but I doubt very much that his attitude would have been conductive to a prosperous future with us even if he stayed.

I'm a little disappoint with his attitude too. Actually he will get more chances than last year given we're on three fronts instead of two like last year, but it's his career, if he thinks going to fio is good for him, then I wish him the best of luck, though I still would feel very bitter losing a prospect and potentially a flag of lazio.

We lost him because he didn't want to stay. What could Ballardini do ? Give him the first place he wanted and show Lichtsteiner the bench ? I don't think so.

Well I can't see how placing Lollo in a CB position would help things scratch

I'm not bothered that he left, he seemed like a nice guy but his unwillingness to fight for a place in the team he undoubtedly loves really disappointed me. Plus from a technical point of view he was extremely poor last year and I failed to see what the hype was to be honest, obviously he could have stayed and proved himself and maybe become a world class right back here but he was too impatient. Good luck anyway Lollo.

Fun fact:
last season in the match at home vs Fiorentina we won 3:0

the away match was lost 1:0, Lorenzo got a second yellow in the 18th minute leaving us incapacitated for almost the entire game.

I guess Viola, of all the Lazio players, likes his presence on the pitch the most tongue

I don't really get his lazialita and why people aren't angry at him like I am? What the hell, the boy claimed he is super-grande-mega laziale, and we all belived we found a nem bandiera So what does he do? He played well first season, got some competition in the second year, wasn't performing while given a chance and finally he was stuck on Lazio bench? What would a true laziale do in this case? FIGHT for the damn place on the pitch, show that little swiss than he should be on the bench.....Well that would happened in a dream world. Instead Lorenzo got afraid of competition, and leave the ship like a little rat. Really dissapointed.

These are really harsh words. He may be a laziale, but given the competition his career at Lazio has hit a wall. Lichtsteiner proved to be the better of the two, moving Lolo to right midfield wouldn't work either while we have Foggia there so what then...

Him sitting on the bench really does not benefit Lazio in any way, financially or otherwise. If anything, Licht needs stronger competition so he's pushed to develop even more.
Playing time in Fiorentina will give Lolo a chance to develop and the door will remain open for his retutn, without any doubt, if he's needed.

I belive it would benefit a great deal if LoRenzo stayed. Lazio would have two great players in the same position, given the fact that we are fighting in three competitions this year, two good players in the same position is a must, if we want success. I am upset off the way Lorenzo left, like a crybaby, buhu Stephen is better than me, buhu I wanna leave. That is a person with weak mental caracter. And is it a fact that he will take Comottos or Daniellis place in Florentia?

Lollo left silently and with little fuss; as I keep saying with all the 'dissidenti'. They value their own personal ambition over any ambition they hold for Lazio.

In other words, Lorenzo wants to further his own career more than he wants to help further Lazio as a team. In fact, being on the bench hinders him from doing the latter so why can't we all just let him go and wish him the best of luck because in a sense, we both benefit from this.

Sad to see another youth product leave. I wish him all the best and hope he can mature as a player on the pitch, not the bench. Licht clearly trumped him, but hopefully he'll find his feet. All the best Lorenzo!
