Why not Ledesma swap with D'Agostino?

I honestly rather keep Rocchi who's a proven loyal servant than another possible mercenary in the squad.
Sure D'Agostino is needed but Rocchi has sacrificed a lot for Lazio and I believe he's still have a few good years. Few bad months and we judge him to be over?

we are interested in Ederson from Lyon, but really I can't understand how are we interested in a 14 mil player :)

Ledesma's agent ( the Cristian one) says his client is going to Genoa most likely. So who can we get from there ?

Lyonnais signed him for around that much does not mean he is that much now.

I understand you guys who want to keep rocchi but fellas we are not a charity organization. we need players who can play and right now our capitano simply sucks. I'd make the swap right away. and NT player for a 32 year old striker that can't score is fine by me.

Doubtless, I do not think Ladesma wants to go to Udinese. He is holding out for Internazionale.

As for Rocchi, I think it depends on how feels. If he wants to leave then I think we should let him go. If not then we should keep him. We should ideally keep him because he is good cover. I think Rocchi does not like the fact that Zarate and Floccari will be now first choice starters.

And how pissed he must feel seeing Cruz play the whole match against Chievo. All these factors combined make me worried about his future here.

Genoa seem interested in Plessis, which could mean that Zapater will become available if he arrives. I'm still waiting to hear about a reinforcement of the GOD DAMN DEFENSE and so far the only report is that of Costa from Wolfsburg. We haven't heard about Canini in a while. Seems like the last 6 hours of the mercato will again be hectic.

Personally, I think Rocchi will leave in summer transfer window.

and go where? :) he's too old to move, or if he goes anywhere it will be in a lower table team ( I know that we are there but we don't belong there)

Believe it or not to another football club!!!

I think he will move because he is not going to get much opportunities at Lazio anymore. Floccari and Zarate will problably be first choice and I do not think Rocchi wants to play second fiddle. That is what intuition suggests. You do not have to believe it. It is just simply my take that is all.

There are actually quite a few clubs interested in Rocchi, Fiorentina being the most prominent of them. And as the situation currently stands, going to Fiorentina would be a step up given the circumstances. They're 3 points off Uefa and if indeed Mutu is the stupidest bastard in the world then he might go there.

Is Ricardo Costa good?

He's spent his whole career at very successful sides like Porto and Wolfsburg but he hasn't been first choice in these teams.

The last thing we need is a 'new Cribari' or 'new Siviglia'.

He is a below average defender.Very error prone. Not good enough for us.

I'd hate to see Tommaso leave. Even though he hasn't been as prolific or sharp this season he still offers a lot and shows passion and love for the club. He's the type of player we'd all like to see end his career at Lazio in a few years time.

Swap with D'Agostino? That sounds very intriguing and an interesting proposal as well. He would certainly fit in well alongside Eguren, Matuzalem and company - but at the expense of losing one of our most loyal players?

Rocchi must surely accept that when fully fit both Zarate and Floccari are likely to be starters ahead of him - but sadly this may prove too much and he may well request a transfer? That would be a shame.

Regarding Ricardo Costa..... of what I've seen of him he's pretty average. Nothing special. Can be solid at times, but also very shaky at times. Has made a few appearances for the Portuguese NT, and won the UCL with Porto back in season 2004. Wolfsburg want somewhere around 3 to 3.5 million Euros for him. Lille are also interested and are in fact very close to signing him (just checked that Wikipedia has him down as their player as of 28th January 2010) - so maybe Costa is no longer a target?

I also saw the other day that Ivan Artipoli has gone on loan to Foggia until the end of the season. Any confirmations?

Like any Lazio fan seeing Rocchi leave would break my heart but for the sake of Lazio we have to listen to our heads not our hearts. Rocchi is 31 and isn't getting any younger + he is not delivering like he used to. And in the striking department we are doing pretty well with Floccari and Zarate. D'Ago is what we need, a creative mid, a position I believe is crucial in whether we stay up or go down.

@Taib: but which club mate? Viola might need a striker cause Mutu is stupid as hell. But in the current form do you think Rocchi will be a starter in their team as well? He simply sucks. I'm not nappy of saying that but this is the truth. I'll hate to see him leave but a team needs to improve. So D'Ago for Rocchi? Anyday!

What a joke

-Maxi Lopez- rejected us and sign for Catania.
-Rever- gone to Wolfsburg for 5m.
-Ricardo Costa- gone to Lille.
-Canini- don't even bother with us.

I think that even Torino have more bargaining power then us.

Parma sold their midfielder Mariga to city for 10 mil and guess who is likely to join them - D'Agostino

and inter got Fernandez from Valencia so this should mean the end of Ledesma to inter stuff

Maxi Lopez has been waiting for us for more than 2 months, Lotito was reluctant to sign him, so he signed for Catania

Humberto Rever, Lotito wanted to loan him with option to buy, Gremio wants it 5 million euro straight away

Ricardo Costa, same as Maxi Lopez, if Morratti wants a player, he'll get it in one day, if lotito wants a player, it's takes around 3-4 months (maybe more) to sign a player (Rasmuss issue??)

Michele Canini, basically Cellino (Cagliari President) doesn't want to have anything to do with lotito..

At this point of time, even Livorno has more bargaining power than Lazio!

I said that we won't sign anyone Idea We have a better squad than Barcelona and Manchester together(youth academy). We don't need reinforcements.
Btw,Chelsea is interested in Siviglia...

I do not know. He got assurances from the coach to stay until the end of the season. After that anything could happen. His agent said they will discuss things.

its not like anyone else from our attack is producing goals either, although getting more time and starts! well floccari sure but he is injured now.. given time regularly rocchi would sure find his form, and im sure he would make an impact in viola because they just have better attacking players to get the ball into scoring chances for rocchi than we do as long as zarate doesnt start to pass the ball in time...

and what about that makinwa <-> di michele swap? did it go through as goal.com announced 10 days ago? if so, then its the same to give those left-over minutes for di michele and hope for the best and sacrifice rocchi for d'ago
