Agree with you Bridge, Danish and S70. I really hope that the line up listed is not correct. If Cruz was fit enough to come on and play the second half then he should definitely be in from the start at home. 3 goals so far and even if we are not entirely happy with him, he has shown he can finish off the chances. Zarate is not able to play up front in what would essentially be a lone striker role, or a no-striker role as he will drift left and Foggia will go to the right. Both are dangerous there but need someone in the middle for that to work or else who is coming in to finish off the crosses? I would doubt that Ballardini saw enough promise to stick with that line up. If Matuzalem is to be rested as is talked about, 4-4-2 would be a more effective way of playing with the players available. Mauri to the left, Baronio and Dabo and then Foggia on the right.

One thing I have been seriously disappointed with in the games I have watched so far is the lack of movement off the ball by our midfield and forwards when we have posession. I think it explains one of the reasons why Zarate has been dribbling so much - he has no viable options to pass to a lot of the time. We know he will do it anyway but when you have Matuzalem and Mauri etc. not finding space in advanced areas to support him then he doesn't really have much choice but to go it alone.

This match and Palermo at the weekend will hopefully allow us to show a cohesive attack and midfield with a more solid defence (I know, pigs might fly). If we play the line up suggested then I seriously doubt that the first half will be hugely productive and that Cruz will be on for the second half. If we are a goal or more (god forbid) down by then it will be a salvage job again.

Another great result. I knew parma was going to do well against Lazio. The games are getting to painful to watch. What a joke. This team is in a bad funk. If they keep this up they will be fighting to stay in Serie A this season. But thankfully its only the 5th game. I hope Lazio get some injured players back very soon.

I only started watching from a bit in the second half. Were we any better with 11 men?

It's still early. There are too many injured and tired players. I'm seriously worried about this weekend, Diakite could hardly stand by the end of the game. Licht hasn't had a minute rest since the beginning, Kolarov is suspended etc etc

Our defense is suffering. Cribari is getting worse every game, and we can't compensate for him.

The January mercato can't come soon enough.

I agree with you. I don't think Baronio is a good player. He is slow. He's been on loan almost every year and now he starts every game. If Ledesma was playing Baronio would not start any games this season. I wish Ledesma was playing right now.

I didn't get to see the game but judging by the result it wasn't good. Another crappy result. And no Foggia. I think this result shows the squad sadly lacks depth. Can't wait for Rocchi and Brocchi to return and hopefully they do so against Palermo. Kolarov being suspended is a blow. And how is Baronio? He got a nasty knock in the first half but hopefully its nothing serious.

I just saw the goal highlights. Great defense and marking on Bojinov's goal. As for Lazio's goal, great to see Zarate back on the score sheet but I think Lazio were lucky to get the penalty. It looked like Cruz dived. There didn't seem to be any contact from Mariga. At least from the angle I saw it on it looked that way.

Guys suht the f*ck up......Roberto Baronio has totally re-found himself. Against parma i saw the biggest relief from the parma coach when baronio left the pitch.....he was a real danger all the time. Ledesmas free-kicks arent even close to him. Ledesma can say goodbye for Lazio. He will never take robertos place back. He is fast and almost all the time creates chances just Zarate and Cruz are wasting all of them. I hope he wont accept that barca deal in janaury....which i cant say to manfre...because he will defenetly leave in january to join real madrid.

Lazio is becoming a big joke...and i don't blame the players i think they play with 100% and it's not their fault that they suck...I blame most the one who select them - Lotito, and also one stuff toy called Tare (i think that he don't know what job he is doing) - is he a sports director or he is just Lotito's assistant bellboy?!?...and also in this game Balardini doesnt show anything special with his already read tactic...i think many where blinded from the supercuppa lucky result.

another think is that maybe Zarate won't show his potential and quality this year all because he don't have any high quality team-made beyond or near to him...

What games have you been watching. Baronio is a Serie B player. Ok maybe not a Serie B player but a small team player. Maybe be 5-9 years ago he was good. His stats suck. He is slow. The only reason he is starting is because Lazio have nobody else right now. Everyone knows if Ledesma was playing he wouldn't start any games. Maybe Coppa Italia. I am not saying Ledesma is the greatest but he is better then Baronio. Thats a fact.

1. You are very unfair. Roberto Baronio and those who step onto the pitch do not deserve to be ridiculed. They do what they can, at their best. Someone decided we have to play a match on every three days with Siviglia, Cribari, Baronio and Meghni. That's very simple.

2. Your views seem to have changed in a few weeks time... isn't it? Reminder...

Without Lotito you would honor a new club with no history like viola fans do....Its still S.S.LAZIO 1900 and thats only because of Claudio Lotito.
If our financial situation would be unstable no-one like Cruz or Zarate would sign for us.
And i dont know bentsson either....like i didnt knew Zarate...thats why there are scouts who search for talents. And i didnt knew Kolarov or Lichsteiner to....now i know all of them...they are world class...and are all brought here by Lotitos men.
LazioS70 wrote:

I'm not forgetting what I read in this forum when I and centrocampista and few others attacked lotito, anticipating the dangers of this season. Mo v'aspetto a tutti e so cazzi vostri...

I'm really upset, I've been to the stadium and I'd like to write down so many things... but I will restraint myself.

The condition of the team is really bad. The players walk on the pitch. They are very tired. The quality they put on the pitch is what you can expect from their names in such conditions, no less no more.

The atmosphere is even worse. Today we remained silent for the first half as a way to protest against a law to restrict access to stadium in the future. In the second we supported the team with full voice, but we got no response from the players. They kept walking.
Until some time ago, Curva Nord chants against lotito were disapproved by many fans in other sectors. Today however there was not a single sign of disapproval. All Lazio fans are getting fed up of the situation.

If lotito wants to keep Ledesma, Pandev, Stendardo and Firmani out of the squad, then he should tell Ballardini to leave Europa league and Coppa Italia immediately otherwise we'll soon fight to avoid relegation in Serie B.
Still, nothing is lost. If, as we deserve, we want to be back as a good team, then lotito in primis, and the agents then, should find some deal... and let the ridiculous excuse of "team harmony" to the records, as another lotito-tale to the fans (well, actually not to all of them... only to those who still believe him).

I agree with everything you said. I feel this season will just keep getting worse and worse. Lazio is very weak this season. Players aren't giving 100%. Plus they are to tired. There is no depth. I can't stand Lotito. He is cheap and has no brains. He better buy some good players in Jan to finish the season off strongly. Hopefully there won't be to much damaged done by then.

I really don`t understand what is going on. I thought that maybe perhaps those unavailble players lead us to this disaster (3 matches at Olimpico..3 D). Maybe Balardini is just another Delio Rossi... maybe, maybe, maybe.
I still can`t understand why we create so hard scoring chances ...having players like Cruz, Zarate, Foggia, Rocchi, Inzaghi, Mauri etc. in the squad. We have big issues with out central defenders and with our midfield. We will relegate if we continue like this..
I`m just too sad..

The problem for me is in the midfield. Its not strong enough or creative enough to impose itself on the game, and as a consequence our defence comes under more unnecessary pressure. Foggia is the exception here in that regards, and should start for me no matter what. I welcome Brocchi back with open arms, someone who can hassle and win balls back from opposing teams. We miss his tenacity.

From a sporting point of view this is exactly what the real reason is for these results. The injuries have hit us where it hurts the most. Rocchi, Brocchi, Siviglia, could all be used.

Lazio has found themselves in a terrible situation. All the tiredness plus a man down. In my view it's unbelievable that Kolarov was sent off for dissent, he hardly said 3 words to the ref, and Baronio as captain was also there protesting. If those three words were "bacio mio culo" then ok, but it's hard not to think about bashing that ref Damato endured in the game Siena-Roma without penalizing anyone of the merda players. The standard is simply not the same for everyone.
Well done to the fans at the stadium, but have some understanding, Diakite could hardly walk at the end of the game, Cruz and Licht were exhausted, only players showing signs of life were Dabo, Foggia and Zarate...

One thing that lotito should do is get the medic team in shape, we can't afford to have a roster of 30+players and not have a sub for RB or DM or CF. If he intends on sticking to his principles and not allow Ledesma back then he better do anything possible to keep the available players healthy.
