If Lazio are in bad form then Villarreal are in twice as worse form. This is a must win so the team can compensate the first game against Salzburg. If Lazio take a win then the team will be a big contender for the first spot.

Cruical game.

We should be able to add to Villareal's woes.

I think they will line out as follows:

Lopez - Venta, Godin, Gonzalo & Capdevilla - Cazorla, Eguren, Senna & Pires - Rossi & Llorente.

On paper a very strong team, but one that is obviously low on confidence.

But besides loosing to Salzburg, they have done well in Europe so far, and a quarter full Olimpico wont really sacre them.

Every thing is playing perfectly in our hands. such a dip in morale for the spaniards, also Escuder isn't called up.

A convincing win can send us flying in the second round. We'd only have to beat Levski at home afterwards.

I expect so very much of this game I don't think I'll remain mentally fit if we don't take this great chance.

FORZA LAZIO

Fantastic, thanks. No looking for a stream thursday night then. cheers

As far as the game goes, its a great opportunity to put ourselves in real contention to qualify for the next round. As others have mentioned, you would feel three points would flow from the Levski match so the importance of this game cannot be understated for our ambition in this tournament and confidence wise.

Villarreal must not be underestimated. True they have had a terrible start to their domestic season but they are more than capable of turning it around and surely they will. They several classy players and will not give in that easily. Sadly Lazio will be without Diakite as he is out injured which is a real shame (along with Meghni once again, and Scaloni). Lazio played a terrific game against Sampdoria and if that form continues into this match, then I would feel very good in getting a positive result out of this crucial tie. Perhaps Foggia would be good to start this type of match?

Be carefull with Villarreal, even if they are bottom of the league.
The team showed in the past years that they can compete with anyone in Europe.

Lazio must go straight from the start for 'the kill', once Villarreal down, they will think about La Liga and getting some points there, Europe will not be a prior for them.

FORZA LAZIO
After the problems I had with Sunday's streams, this will be much better! First time on non pay TV since probably against Middlesbrough in the UEFA Cup (5 never showed one of our games on their abysmal coverage if I remember)!...

Good to see some optimism, we certainly need to take advantage of the Submarine's poor form, however pazke and Bobbi say it all - Villarreal are still a very experienced and dangerous team. However much we had good points in the Samp game, we also failed to win at home again and allowed the oposition quite a lot of the play. If we had been on a good run I'd be happier going into this match, we just need to show we can finish some of our chances and get past the "good performance but no win" run we are on.

Lets sink them Subs!

The expected lineup is
1 Bizzarri; 2 Lichsteiner, 87 Diakitč, 26 Radu, 11 Kolarov; 6 Dabo, 33 Baronio, 5 Mauri; 17 Foggia, 10 Zarate; 74 Cruz.

Meaning we'll have a Zarate - Cruz - Foggia trident in a 4-3-2-1 formation. Dabo, Baronio and Mauri really have their work cut out for them, having to assert themselves in the midfield and provide quality forward passes to the three attackers.

I consider this formation too attacking and I fear if we give Villareal too much space in midfield they will run us over no matter their poor form of late.

Interesting fact, the referee is Ivan Bebek from Croatia. Wonder what that will look like.

xmas tree is the best solution.
in no ball possession actions foggia must fight back somewhere in the midfield.

Yes Foggia should do it, but the question is will he do it. He goes on his runs down the flank, gets dispossessed and leaves a gap on that side. It's how we got beat by Juventus.

Form is temporary, class is permanent and Villarreal are a class act.

Got to be on our guard and somehow take the game to them. Too close to call.

Tough, but a point isnt a great deal of use either here.

Hopefully Levski can beat or at least hold RB Salzburg.
