Ballardini is a poor excuse of a coach. No ambition to actually take the game to the opposition. Chievo did next to nothing for 75 minutes and still he had no ambition to actually kill them off. The substiution, and lack of the other two, were dreadful. Changing formation when we were compact did us no favours, but he is obsessed with setting us up in different ways. Theres never any continuity. Its thanks to him we lost two points today. Im convinced that second goal would have come if Rocchi had come on and if we went for it.

"Yes mauri was totally the best today".... it even reflects from the result. I must admit he wasnt that much of a disaster as usually but lets be honest we look average and with bella we are no enemy for anyone. It would be interesting to make a match between the primavera and the 1st team.

A big respect to the fans who will take the away trip next weekend.

............what can I say...I just know Ballardini paid for his coaching degree... He'll say we had our chances but we didn't score..

I hope if he's here the next home game there will be a huge banner saying Ballardini leave !

Dissapointed about the result. But I saw a spirited performance by the team, they really worked for it. the formation change seemed positive to me. It allowed us to have some more possesion in midfield and involve the flanks better with Diakite and Kolarov coming forward. We did not create much as useall, but we had our moments and with a little bit more determination we could have scored more. chievo also had their chances though.
I agree with the fact that the team needs to be shaken up though. We needed to win and if this is the best we can produce than something is clearly wrong.

I SPOKE WITH dI cARLO AT THE END OF THE MATCH , he clearly said: was obvious that the players , lazio , were surcharged. I scream to my guys that we had an opportunity to raise up in the last 30 minutes.
They did.

Thats what irritates me the most, no passion whatsoever, looks like he just does not care. Has someone actually seen him step up from the bench? I find that very offensive to all of us who do care. How can the team fight with passion if the coach does not have any.

I was watching the game on a very bad stream this morning. Couldnt really get the flow of it (If there was any).

Balla had a pair of Aces in his sleeve with Rocchi & Foggia, that last 20 minutes could've been so different had he chose to throw them on, instead, he played his hand with a pair of deuces.

This just leads me to believe that we have been bluffed the whole way, Balla indeed, is a very mediocre coach at best.

I don't know what the hell is Lotito waiting for! Balla has done all the mistakes in the world, he literraly screwed us up! Lotito is giving so much support to him and he let Delio wait for months and then not give him a contract, we can all see the difference between Delio and Balla.. look at Palermo now they're light years ahead of us, playing good football!

I didn't get to see the game but I saw highlights.

Good to see the 15 minute protest taking place as well. Well done to the Laziale who took part!

Good start by the team, and nice goal from Stendardo. When was the last time we scored from a corner!!?? Had some more chances but nothing really to trouble the Chievo defense. An interesting line up and formation put out by Ballardini, which worked well for a while but then don't know what happened (highlights only show so much). The donkeys had a few chances throughout the match - with Pellisier taking one of them. The defending on his goal was trap. And that's how it finished.

Overall a bad result. The performance was better than the Atalanta match but nothing special. Next we take on a wounded and desperate Ciro Ferrara and his Juventus side in Turin. Very bad news for us. But I'm remaining hopeful.

Maybe its about time Lotito sacks Ballardini (and himself)? Davide shows no emotion or passion when we score, or when we concede. He casually strides along the touchline and that's it. Full time whistle blows and he leaves. No expression, nothing. I really miss Delio running all over the place, screaming, yelling, crying, celebrating, everything!

In a nutshell I'm pissed off, like most of you are, in fact all of you are, at the current situation Lazio is in.

But as always..... FORZA LAZIO! NON MOLLARE MAI!

It looked like we Chievo stole a point from the match...But why Balla had Rocchi on the bench is outrageous..

We are staring down the barrel at the moment...I really don't understand why we are not linked to any central defenders...Eguren is the only midfielder we are linked too...Lotito and Balla must think that our midfield is ok???

Our forwards we do not need to be touched...they need more supply...more creativity and when the chances come they will put them away...We need a class act Defensive Midfielder and a playmaker to pull the strings...

Why players like Candreva wasn't monitored...even as a loan...or now Giovinco who is frozen out...I don't know what to think...Our club is so poorly managed..I'm actually now embarrassed...Especially with all of my friends being Inter fans....very very embarrassed...

I just get shocked when I look at posts these days.

Ballardini didn't shut up shop; he started the game with 4 defenders, 3 defensive midfielders, a currently inept Mauri and 2 forwards who cannot work magic. It's not like he though, "ok, we score, then we defend." The truth is, we don't have an attack. We couldn't go out there and build upon the goal; it took luck for us to get it in the 1st place.

Not throwing rocchi and\or foggia later in the match in completely winable game is beyond me...

I am not standing up for them val, but what are we meant to do with an attack that is minus Pandev, minus Ledesma's creativity, minus Matuzalem, a Rocchi that is now well past it, a Cruz that can't stay fit, a Zarate that does more complaining than playing with either Mauri, the completely ineffective Foggia or the injury ridden Meghni providing service.

Face facts, Ballardini's hands are tied, the only players he can rely on is Muslera, Radu, Baronio and Firmani. It says it all. Players that once were the butt of everyone's jokes, some of whom still are.

I think that nobody denies this. But the fact is that Ballardini still should have done something especially after Chievo scored. At that moment he's hands weren't tied, he should have reacted. Balla just kept Foggia (who did well against Viola just days ago) and Rocchi warming and subbed midfielder for defender. We created nothing in last 15 minutes so it hardly could have gone any worse. Whole match made him look like a coward. Just look how Di Carlo read our game and made some good choices by subbing Bentivoglio and Bogdani in. They are by no means better than Foggia or Rocchi but managed to make required change to the way Chievo played.

Well said Prati but I should probably explain myself better.

I almost bust a gut in the ChatBox for Livorno. I couldn't fathom why we went so defensive against them and was criticising Balla heavily when 1-0 down at HT. He overhauls the system and we win 4-1. People here start questioning him, saying he should have done this from day one.

He then tries it against Atalanta and we are 3-0 by HT. It was a mistake from our coach and the same people who were encouraging him for such an approach were now criticising him.

Ballardini cannot suck up to Claudio when our boys are on the field so I judge him on that and I can't tell whether I should criticise him or not. If we held out at 1-0, I would have no complaints, if we scored again, no complaints but just because Chievo grabbed a goal doesn't mean he got it wrong tactically. Foggia isn't 100% fit and for me, was useless against La Viola and Rocchi has done nothing this season to suggest he could do better other than that one game. Like Ballardini, I had more faith in the boys on the field; maybe a scuffed save would land at Cruz' feet, maybe Zarate would score something considering midweek, maybe we were in no position to react to anything. I don't know.

It's just, this is not the game to criticise him for. See Livorno/Atalanta.

Look Caxi, it might have worked, it might not, but the fact remains we will never know. And the fact remains while Chievo were pushing and pressuring our defense we managed to push the ball out of our third of the pitch but failed to keep it there. And nothing was done to change it. Ballardini got his just punishment. If you let the weakest of teams to constantly waltz around you box you're getting burnt, that's a given.

Not introducing Rocchi was a massive mistake. Sure he's been having a bad season but if nothing else bring him on for a useless Cruz and you can not go wrong, with the support they were given it's substituting like for a like. His speed and ability to hold on to the ball could have eased the pressure on our mid and defense, while the long hopeful balls to Cruz did the exact opposite.

Attack is the best defense. For the first 60 minutes the game was even, neither team was much better than the other. but in the last 20 minutes only one team was going to score. And we had 2 subs left, two fresh players to introduce to keep that from happening and did nothing. Take out Zarate and put in Del Nero for all we care, but fucking do something instead of sit there as if in a theater.

This game was won by the Chievo coach more than by the players on the pitch. We were doing a decent job for 60 minutes, but when we should have seen Balla act to secure a tighter defence and hopefully a counter to guarantee us 2-0 and 3 points we saw a Balla that wasnt able to do smelling as, and accordingly Di Carlo (or whatever his name is) totally turned the table with his three effective subs and in the end we should be happy that the game wasnt a little longer since that would have meant another Chievo goal...Once again Nando saved us from a defeat, and this is in a game that I consider one of our stronger in a long time. Di Carlo knew we were not going to last, and he pushed a little to late for his donkeys to secure all through points. Thank God.

But we arent losing our Serie A spot in only this match, but over the season. The fact that we have no plans on any of our set pieces says it all. There is no organisation, not in the top of the management and not down on the pitch, and we somehow live by chance and by random brilliance by one of our players feeling like doing something good for once. When Cruz went for the dangerous free-kick that Zarate or Kola should have taken, I realized there is not very much more to ask for. Our existence will be more about how poorly the other teams down in the bottom will do, than our team waking up from the dead and actually start dominating games. We have no plans, no creativity and no idea how we could give birth to some poitive football. I hope the guys are ready to kick, run and fight, because each and every point from now on will be valuable for our existence in Serie A.

We have to support. We have to believe.

Remind me... was not Ballardini the guy who said in September that we didn't need Pandev and Ledesma, that we were a competitive team, that the team was doing ok? Or it was you?

It's too easy for Ballardini now to say "we don't have the players". It's too easy.

And still, even with this bunch of players, a countless number of managers would do better than Ballardini.

I said we wouldn't miss Pandev and Ledesma on the field to a great extent but that the atmosphere we could create would push us close to B. I stand by those comments.

It's "too easy" for people to argue that we are here because of Ballardini. "Too easy."
