I am not really anti-United man.... its just that every team they play, I would much rather that team win (apart from riomma and Rangers Very Happy ). I support Liverpool after Lazio but I don't really have anything against the club (I like Berbatov, Van der Sar, Tevez, Giggs, Ronaldo, etc.) but I personally don't like players like especially Rooney and not a Vidic fan either. But massive respect for Sir Alex Ferguson!
I have always had a soft spot for City too and especially since last season with Petrov, Bojinov and Hamann all there and I like Arsenal and Chelsea even ahead of them so thats really my reason.
In my honest opinion they are over-rated - a one man show who saved their asses several times over and over again.... without Ronaldo they have no creativity or goals, nothing really.... without him for the last month they have played shite and can't get a win either. I bet if Ronaldo was out for the entire season United would not get back the EPL or UCL.... I would tip them to come something like 3rd or 4th in the league and Europe out by the quarters.
I like Ronaldo but I just don't like it how they rely on him so much. And Rooney for me is the most over-rated English player and a prick!
Me and my friend have good debates with regards to Gerrard vs Rooney Very Happy she too is a United fan!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Liverpool win Very Happy no harsh feelings or anything personal though mate.

I suppose as from a United perspective, thats fair enough but I have never agreed with this Ronaldo reliance, I personally think Rio and Vidic combined won more points than Ronaldo did and Tevezs contribution was also high but I can understand your point.

Rooney isnt a prick but overrated certainly, happens with any english player if they have a certain start to there career

Certainly Ferdinand and Vidic are a very good pairing at the back for United, no doubt about that, and they won alot of points for the team and will probably continue to do so. Tevez is a very good player, I like him, and he definitely contributes alot to the team setting up and finishing moves.... much more than Rooney does (but then again I hate the guy so maybe I am biased here Very Happy ). Hopefully Berbatov does well there (I have to hope, he is Bulgarian too Very Happy ) but I think I read somewhere that he might be dropped for the Chelsea match!? Any information or clarification mate?

This is not about the UCL but did you all see the UC group stage draw?

Some very interesting groups and matches in prospect but surely Group C is the toughest with Sevilla, VfB Stuttgart, Sampdoria, Partizan Belgrade and Standard Liege all in it! Should be a good group and difficult to come out of!

There are some very good teams in the UEFA Cup this year. There are lots of teams that are doing well in their leagues at the moment like Hamburg, Valencia and Udinese. It will always be the case though that there are players rested for these games. It seems funny, everyone spends a season trying to get into Europe (OK, for some it is the poor consolation prize) and then when they are in it they play reserve teams and moan about too many games (Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth!)... On the flip side you get Spurs who are awful and bottom of the Premiership but who play the one-game-a-week Ledley King in UEFA qualifying matches but not in the league????!!! Madness...

Some crazy scores in the UCL today with a lot of goals and unusual scorelines....

Villarreal 6-3 AaB
Man. United 3-0 Celtic
Bayern 3-0 Fiorentina
Steaua 3-5 Lyon
Fenerbahçe 2-5 Arsenal
Porto 0-1 Dynamo Kyiv
Zenit 1-1 BATE
Juventus 2-1 Real Madrid

The Juventus win over Real Madrid, I believe, has saved or at least given more time to Ranieri to turn things around there.

well the blame goes to both assistants as they are fully responsible for the off-side marking

Hahahaha he's joining in on the Maori haka Very Happy we see them all the time here in NZ before the rugby matches!

I watched the Atletico - Liverpool game and although it finished 1-1 it could all have been a different outcome had the referee and his assistants not stuffed up on several occasions for both teams. Benayoun had a clear goal disallowed as did Seitaridis a bit after. Riera and Maniche both quite possiblt deserved penalty kicks although maybe both would have been a bit harsh to give, and instead both players received yellow cards for simulation. Some offside calls were quite ridiculous, especially some of Atletico's as they clearly were not. Overall a draw is a fair result but had the calls been proper it could have easily been a Liverpool win or an Atletico one. At least both teams are joint top of their group with a 4 point margin so that is fair considering the silly line and game calls.

Barcelona put 5 past Basel.... Wink
