Well, I think that he will get some time on the field very soon...
He probably needs some more days to adapt to his new environment at Lazio. I think he still has to learn a little Italian and in the next weeks he will hopefully be able to help us a lot!!

Dias would need time as well and still got the start. So why not bring on the Hitz but instead play Mauri or Brocchi???

That would be the biggest mistake from Edy. Mauri has been superb solid all season long. He is dominating the midfield with magic. Havent seen him missing or wasting any chances at all. Lotito should be lucky to have such trustful players like Mauri with him.

On the current form of our midfield, hitz is a walk up starter. Other than injury, i see no reason why he is being snubbed. Play him for fucks sake!

Coach's problem, to be exact. He isn't a world class players, but basically he is a sure-fire starter and also leader of any team in the world fighting relegation. We field players like Firmani ahead of him. One has to wonder...

So far he has been sh1te, so I understand the reluctancy to play him. Maybe some more playing time would make him shine and develop his role in Lazio, but the games he has played, and the minutes given so far, he has not deserved anything near a starting spot. Lets see what he can give us the remaining games...

Matuzalem now injured, and the rest of our starting midfielders have been shite too, i see no harm in starting him, and giving him a decent run and trying to play him back into form.

A move to get some more attackers on the park. Hitz came onto the park as a replacement for Matuzalem when we were still 0-0, then when we were 2-0 down with 20mins to go, Reya threw on Cruz & Mauri in an attempt to flood our attacking line. IMO he wasnt any worse than any of our other players. Purely tactical.

I think so because his contract was for 6 months ...

I have to say I'm happy that he signed for another club because he showed that he can't fit well in italian football.

What? Are you kidding me? He didn't even get a fair chance to show he is a decent player. The only central midfielder who must be regarded as clearly better als him is Ledesma.

Agree. I'm disappointed Hitzlsperger didn't get a fair chance at Lazio. I was hoping he'd stay for the coming season but knew it was very unlikely. He has proved himself both in England and Germany, and the German NT as a top player. Given time I think he would have adapted well to Italian football and become an asset for Lazio. Would have been sweet to have seen him do well on the left side of midfield.

Only good thing is that squad numbers are reduced and his high wages are off Lazio's books. All the best Thomas!

Impossible to say wether he could have adapted to the Italian game or not; the chances he was given were rather few and never did he get the feeling that we believed in him.
In any case, I am happy to see him leave as I think it is te best for both us and him. After this way of being neglected, in a Lazio that had very low quality in midfield the last season, it would have been very hard to make him think that he could actually achieve something with us. He will not be remembered, not in a positive nor in a negative way.

Ciao Hitz!
