Yeah, seems Cagliari were getting fed up with him thinking about bigger and better job offers and thus contributing, supposedly, to their woeful performances this year. Juventus are keen. Would I be foolish to suggest he may simply be the new Ballardini?.. tongue

Inter and Merda have relatively similar run ins. The only challenge for Inter, on paper, is Juventus. We all know they will be given the 3 points against us. Merda's hardest matches are against us and Sampdoria at home the following week.

If it was just based on that then I'd be hopeful Inter can pull it through but the fact that they are still in 2 other competitions makes it more difficult for them. Merda only have Serie A to concentrate on and have had a very lucky season scraping through most teams with one goal wins - and I assume the same will continue but I'm hoping both us and the Doria give them a very hard time. Lets not forget Gigi Del Neri and company are fighting for 4th spot with Palermo so hopefully they will be up for the fight.

Also I believe Inter will concentrate most on the CL - even though I don't see how they will overcome Barcelona in the semis, but their main target will be that after so many years on top in Italy with no real competition.

This coming weekend will be crucial. Lazio vs Merda and Inter vs Juventus are both massive games. However if Milan can get a win this weekend and other results go their way - then the title race could be opened even further.

Watch Allegri go to Juve and Ballardini sign for Cagliari within the next 2 months.

Game over.

Would be shocked if Inter don't go on unbeaten in the league now...

We do our bit on Sunday and I think Riommamerda can kiss the Scudetto bye bye.

On the upside they lost to Udinese today 1-0 but it was still enough to take them through to the final.

I actually hoped they'd win this game so they overestimate the following games and slip up but today's loss to in Udine might give them a wake up call. No

This season is going from bad to worse. Crying or Very sad

A truly monster goal by Chivu to calm the nerves. His first in 3 seasons and what a screamer.

Go Sampdoria.

Superb win from Palermo too which hopefully gets Samp hot and bothered.

Seriously, where are the Rossi critics now? Looking a tad foolish...

Exactly. Well done Mr Rossi!

Good results today. Inter won, as did Palermo to keep the pressure on Sampdoria.

For tomorrow, the biggest FORZA SAMPDORIA!!!!!

Rossi time in Lazio was over. You tend to forget how Lazio underachieve with Rossi past seasons.

Don't mix Lotito's choice for replacement and our bad season with what Rossi is doing right now at Palermo.

Btw Palermo has very good squad, better then our atm.

Edit: I liked him too and I'm happy for him, just to avoid misunderstanding.

What a cracker from Miccoli! cheers Great game and I really hope that he gets a place in the NT for the World Cup. But if I'm correct Lippi is stupid and will call players like Toni and Iaquinta ... No

Coppa Italia last season? Suspect

You can say Rossi's time at Lazio was over and last season, I was in agreement but I still find this "Lotito picked the wrong coach" stuff nonsense.

Ballardini was a highy-rated Serie A coach who got found out and Reja has to prove himself beyond this season. Rossi worked under the same environment, if not worse than the latter and we are told to think his time was over?

Looking back, who could have taken us higher than mid-table in those circumstances? Rossi did it season in, season out and by the end, we had silverware to show for his work...

We donīt have the same players as last season and for sure not a Zarate in good form so itīs hard to tell if Rossi wouldīve done a better job than Ballardini/Reya. Altough I think so as well. Rossi and Reja are quite alike in my opinion though, letīs take back Sven-Göran after the season again and we will win Scudetto again? Thatīs not how it works... sorry.

What we need is a Hitzelsberger in form, heīs a beast then. We need a Zarate in form, he can score goals that gives us vital points. We need to play with this team with one or two signings from the start of next season and have a coach that believes in playing football.

Grazie Lazio !

Grazie Lazio !

But then one could argue that Zarate was in form because of the way Delio Rossi utilised him and coached him, no?

The big problem was that by the time Delio left the club there were serious factions within the team that really caused problems. This is why it was inevitable that he had to go. Time will tell if the same thing happens at Palermo.

Tactically though, he is brilliant and prepares his side well. One of the big criticisms I had when he was at Lazio was that we could never beat the big teams in the league. At Palermo, he has already done this in less than one season.

Precisely, the characters in our dressing room differ with those at Palermo. It seems as if Rossi could do little about our fortunes with the big teams and I don't see that changing readily.

Massive problem with Rossi, for me, was his inability to handle strong characters. And by that, I mean players like Stendardo and Foggia. Rossi and Stenny never saw eye-to-eye and yet, first thing I noticed about Reja was how much respect Stenny had for him. Reja can galvanise the strong characters, he can handle the tantrums. Rossi never could, that is why he lost the dressing room.

However, let's see what happens because Reja's way of handling the strong characters can be to leave them on the bench (take notice, Zarate).

Even with a 'lost' dressing room, Rossi was a marked improvement on this season. Right now, we appear to have a more unified team and yet we are still sitting 16th and to be honest, with Ballardini, we were not that much worse off and he bore the brunt of it. Only time, will tell.

Can't wait to see what that fuckin bastard Zaccardo was red carded for. I mean wtf, 1-0 up and you get a straight red.

Reminded me instantly of Dessena getting a straight red in the 17th against Atalanta, our other direct rivals for relegation. It's infuriating. Good thing Bocchetti helped us out today Very Happy

Mentioned it briefly in the chat but Maxi Lopez scored a cracker of a bicycle kick.

I think that's 9 goals he's scored now since arriving in Catania. Been a fantastic signing.

Anyways, hope to wake up to a Sampdoria win or draw vs i difettosi.

The season ends on my 18th birthday and I dont want it marked by a Roma scudetto.
