Quote :

“No, siamo solo a livelli di voci.

“No squadre italiane no, dall’estero sì invece.

Caxi, it's just that great, misspent talent, Roberto Baronio complaining that Rossi did not give him the chance to prove himself at Lazio.
Our dearest Roberto is asking Lazio to let him go prove his worth elsewhere. Only problem is NOBODY wants that useless, lazy git. Ah well.

PS. Baronio's only fair point is that Lazio could've let him go last year (and the year before that) instead of having him warming up the bench. Agreed, it was a mistake to keep Baronio all those years.
Again, only problem was that even back then, no Serie A teams really wanted blondie, while he was begging Rossi to keep him in Formello.

didn't we offer him the chance to go on loan to Spain and he refused???

if so then that is his fault.

however, I must say that Baronio at one stage was a very promising player, has played for the Azzurri and was a part of the 2000 Olympic team in Sydney, many of those players went on to play at World Cups and some became world champions.

Baronio could've been special but it didnt work out.

Testa , its not that it didnt work out he proved with Chievo and Reggina his worth its only that Lazio didnt give him a proper chance ! i am really sorry strategist for you to insult one of the most loyal players in our squad , such a shame that u keep a player like ledesma who was the biggest flop last year and u throw Baronio out of your plans, its sad, disgusting indeed .

i would've liked to see him get more time on the pitch, i think he's an under-used talent. i think like most midfielders, especially distributors like him simply need time to break in or to find their form. it's a spot where we sorely need consistency, and i thought he turned in some decent performances when given the chance. i can understand his disdain and request to leave the club.

Blondie "one of the most loyal players"? Ledesma a "flop"? We should kick out Ledesma and keep blondie?

I wholeheartedly agree with Strategist !

Baronio spent an amazing 12 seasons "in and out" of Lazio, since we picked him up at Brescia for the 96/97 season. If it wasn´t Curva Nord shouting too loud for his ears to take, then it´s Rossi not giving him a proper chance.

Please, it´s getting quite pathetic. If Baronio never made it, he only has himself to blame.

Fact is he was a player once , today he is nothing more than useless.
If he is so valuable , why is so difficult to find a club , where to reveal all his brilliancy.

For the god sake, I dont know why people are saying that Ledesma is a flop?!! Ledesma is somethhing like Pirlo for Milan and Azzuri, taking this player out of Lazio we will be crashed by 5 goals as what happened when Ledesma missed Milan and Juve last season games! ironically the same fans that wanted Makinwa in for Pandev in the past!!!

I dont know why people here think that Ledesma should be like Messi or Riquelme? He is a type of player that every serie A coach would like to have, last year he almost played every game with exceptions those he missed due to injury, you should blame out form Muta, Mudy, and Mauri who all should help not to forget that Ledesam was covering the holes in our defense with the likes of Cribari and Siviliga in it.

As for Baronio, and I still remember Eriksson's words that he is the little Veron once upon the time, there is no need to call him as talent esp he is almost 30 years! I still call his Reggina days once he was superup, at that time he was nominated as the best young italian player in the calcio and represented Italy in Sydney in 2000, what makes me wonder how players like Pirlo and Gattuso playing with him in the Azzuri managed to break into stars nowadays and won alot while our blonde who was a better player at that time but nowadays he is nothing but a bench warmer. There was some hope that he will back to his best when was in loan to Cheivo but to be honest I dont see him coming back to his form.

Dont blame Ledesma, it is only Rossi, Lazio, and Baronio him self should be blamed and that why I get mad about Foggia! Should we make another sad story like Baronio?

It's very easy to misunderstand Ledesma's role. While he plays the same position as Pirlo, he is nowhere near as technically gifted as Pirlo is. He can be a secondary playmaker, but that's why Mauri's poor form hit us so bad. If Ledesma has to create play all by himself, the result is those long hoof balls that the opposition defenders pick up easy. On the other hand Ledesma is so much better defensively than Pirlo is.

I'm interested to see what will come of his play if we really do go 4-4-2 next season. Ledesma-Foggia pair would certainly be interesting, but somehow I can't see that ever happening.

Baronio? Well... a couple of years back I was desperately hoping him to get a chance to play regularly. That was mainly because of Liverani's mindnumbing inconsistency. Today is another day though. I guess there really is a reason why nobody wants him.

No, he hasn't. Brescia want him but they don't want to spend any money. Bresica coach Cosmi is a fan of Roberto. They are hoping that Baronio will terminate his contract with Lazio and become a free agent. In that case Brescia (or whoever) will sign him for free. The good thing is that he is really eager to leave and find a team where will be able to play regularly and show everyone that he can still cut it.

Baronio is a good player.. not for us.. for another team..

Ledesma is a good player.. not for us.. for another team...

we need to clear our DM players and start with a new trio in the center..

Mudingaye and Dabo are the only players that derserve to stay.. Mutarelli aswell.. very passionate

Look, everyone has a chance to prove themselves during TRAINNING on the weekdays. If the coach didn't notice ya, he ain't pickin ya on match day! Simple as that. Dabo, Mundingaye, Ledesma must of done something right, and Baronio must of done something right too, but not better than those three in the eyes of Rossi. So, don't hate the player, hate the game.

We did not give Baronio playing time for the same reason Inzaghi is not playing. Inzaghi went to a couple of clubs and did he ever hit his old form? Maybe in hitting on the girls...but certainly not hitting the goals.

I agree that in training is where the coach can determine who's going to play. You can't be Baronio in training and suddenly steps out as Kaka in the playing field.

He's not loyal. When we were in financial crisis, he was one of the players who rejected a pay cut. He might take some pay cut, but as you can see, he's still one of the highest paid player.

Stop comparing him to Ledesma. There really is a reason why Ledesma is a starter in Lazio and Baronio not in any serie A team.
