I think chose Dabo. He's experienced but at the same time a very capable midfield player and could be useful at the heart of the battle as captain.

I chose Zauri. I'm almost certain he won't leave us and in this case, he should remain as our captain. He spent at this club more than anyone else, and gave a lot for our site. Meanwhile, De Silvestri is mine second pick, because he's Roman and have a huge laziale heart. But he have to wait a year or two to grow as a player and as a leader.

For me Zauri is mute letter...... To be a captain , you should have more than experience and length of service on the field.
Rocchi , as someone said is our soul , he was far more relevant as captain last season. It is his turn and his right to inspire the team....

It is a much better to keep it unassigned scratch , the Capitan ambrand is becoming a curse on Lazio since Nesta departure!

I selected Rocchi (the least worst decision) even though De Silvestrishould take it after 1-2 years later on!

Rocchi is deserving the armband...

but then again we need someone that irreplaceable, a striker is always being replaced all the time... My idol to be theIl Capitano of course De Silvestri, but I don't know whether in Rossi's tactic De Silvestri would be playing all the time and irreplaceable or not, considering in the last season his defense not as good as his offense....

So if we look at the one that irreplaceable to Rossi's tactics... he would be.. Ledesma So... Ledesma anyone...

No... nobody here would agree with that certainly... so I keep stay in my opinion.. DE SILVESTRI for Il Capitano!

Give him chance Rossi!! or at least choose him as the vice captain first...

I choose De Silvestri. I think we can compare him with Nesta and Nesta was 22 (I think) when he got the armband. And to me Lorenzo looks like a bigger leader and if he gets the armband he will grow at least one step further. And just think about it, Lorenzo De Silvestri as the Lazio captain the next coming 20 years, doesn't it look great? Very Happy

Basically I think it´s a difficult topic to discuss, since choosing a captain involves far more issues than we are knowledgable about... That includes the different players personality, their place in the squad hierachy, their dedication not only in matches but also in training.

Luciano Zauri appeared to be a terrible captain from what we as observers could see, but who knows if he really was doing a good job and was the right man at the time. With that in mind I didn´t choose anyone here, but I trust Delio Rossi is able to pick the right man for the job.

Anyways, in my opinion, there is hardly any doubt that our new captain will be Tommaso Rocchi if we need one

I honestly believe Lazio still does not have a great character that could lead this team. For now, Rocchi and Zauri is probably the most logical choice based on seniority and history with Lazio. But definitely not permanent. I'm hoping Lazio buys more influential players that could lead this team through the tough times and motivate. Players such as Simeone or Neved before could be the perfect captains. Amoruso is a welcomed addition.

Btw, my first post back in Laziofever. Hello all!! sunny

well, by the time De Silvestri is mature and disciplined enough to be captain, people will be talking about Tuia in the same way, so I don't know. De Silvestri cannot have an effect on players such as Rocchi.

Mutarelli all the way if he's a 1st team player next season.

At the moment, there isn't any other options except Rocchi or Zauri. And based on seniority. De Silvestri will be our captain in the near future, assuming he stays with us.

maybe making De Silvestri capitano will encourage him to stay at Lazio rather than chase dollars

but then we always have bad luck with our capitani, Nesta, Oddo, Mihajlovic etc

I voted for Rocchi. he did an excellent job last season and that was while his future was in doubt. now he has his long contract, he will make an excellent leader.

De Silvestri and Tuia both future captains.

If Firmani was a regular starter, he would also make a good capitano

...we don't have anyone with a good disciplinary record except for a few disloyal players, so I don't see that as a problem. for me, mutarelli would command respect and authority.

I voted for Siviglia.

This was purely because I feel he does well in the centre of defense, has been pretty solid and reliable since he came in mid 2004 I believe it was and has a strong personality. He also has good discipline and I believe the youngsters look up to him alot - like De Silvestri, Radu and Kolarov. I also believe he will be at Lazio until he decides to retire and is a regular in the squad with Rossi in charge and think he will be kept there for the upcoming season due to his experience and leadership. He is not the most loud player in the team but shows dedication to the fans and is determined and has produced nice displays for a few seasons now. For that above, I would like to see Sebastiano given the captaincy at Lazio.

I thought about Rocchi, Mutarelli, Zauri, De Silvestri, Dabo and Firmani as the other candidates in my opinion.
Unfortunately Firmani is not usually a 1st team regular all the time and Mutarelli I am not too sure about either.
Rocchi and Zauri are both good choices as they both have done well at Lazio for several years and are like icons.
De Silvestri is a good one too but he is a bit too young - I would like to see him get it next season.
Dabo was a close second for me but again I am not too sure how often he will play - I think he will be a regular but there are several other players in that position like Mudi, Muta and Ledesma who might be preferred ahead of him and if Rossi also switches formations maybe Foggia, Meghni and Mauri might all affect whether Ousmane is there or not.

This is part of why I believe Siviglia should be given the armband - even for just this one season.

Siviglia doesnt appear to be a "loudmouth" he is pretty cool and calm as I can see him maybe Im wrong. Maybe in some occasions he gets Twisted Evil but we need that all the time! I think at this moment Rocchi will be my first choice or Lorenzo (but maybe too young, still?) third choice I will have to say Mutarelli or Dabo... I love to see a captain with lots and lots of passion always with an attitude to influence in a good way of course! whenever good or bad days

But Siviglia had a disatrous campiagn and awaful discipline records Bobbi not to mention that his days with Lazio are counted??

I still think that Ledesma will be the 2nd chioce capitan after Rocchi simply because he his Rossi's favourite.

Ledesma would be an awful choice!!

remember how he said he would leave if we didnt beat Dinamo to make champions League???? that was disgraceful towards the club and to us

he should never be captain
