Baronio's agent: "Malaga and Valladolid after him"

Federico Pastorello, Baronio's agent, was contacted by piazzadellaliberta.it to clarify the future of Roberto Baronio: "I met lotito yesterday evening and we talked about some possibilities about Baronio's future. We got offers from Spain and the most interested clubs are Malaga and Valladolid". Baronio did not hide the fact he wants to leave Rome, while lotito is seeking to trim the roster: "We are working to find an agreement. Baronio would go, and this time not on loan, and we wish one of the two clubs can reach a deal with the biancocelesti". Finally, talking about the Carrizo's negotiation that saw Pastorello acting as an intermediary last summer, the agent congratulated lotito: "I personally congratulated the president yesterday. I'm satisfied that at the end everything turned out ok".

Lazio: Foggia´s agent: Napoli ? Nothing concrete.

Pasquale Foggia´s agent talks about the presumed negotiation with Napoli: "Nothing concrete". The agent Tiberio Cavalleri has diminished the voices of the last hours: News about Napoli?, "There is nothing concrete. Pasquale is very attached to his city of origin, but for the time being´, it´s all gossip. The only sure thing, is that he will part for the trainingcamp with Lazio. After that, it will be clear what will happen next."

And it´s not excluded to reach a clarification with Lotito: "We´ll talk to Lotito and look into what is the best situation. We are listening to Lotito and he worships Foggia, and he has a big trust in the player. About Delio Rossi I can only say, that I believe he can change his ideas and he should try to understand the progress Pasquale has made this year."

Gazzetta dello Sport: Portsmouth pushing for Zaratè

Situation in Lazio : The official statement of the exchange Pinzi-Stendardo between Udinese and Lazio is expected: The agreement has been found, but before the official statement, the contractual situation of the two players in question must be solved.

Mauro Zaratè has signed a deal between monday and tuesday, in spite of Portsmouth trying to hijack the move by returning to try Al Saad.

Saturday is scheduled a meeting for the extension of Ledesma´s contract. Malaga and Valladolid are ready for Baronio.

Zaraté-Lazio: The English try to steal him

Perhaps you can´t talk about international intrigues, but not much is missing before you actually can: while Lazio are waiting for the original documents signed by Al Saad, the Arab leaders are playing on more tables and are listening to proposals - definitely more favourable from Middlesborough and Portsmouth for the signing of Mauro Zaratè.

The English clubs don´t give up the pressure and have put an offer on the table, 1 million Euro for a one year loan followed by figures exceeding 20 million Euros for the definitive signing of the Argentine talent. In Formello the atmosphere is rather serene though: President Lotito expects the last parts of the documents to arrive this morning or at latest tomorrow - he already has the contract concerning the one year loan for next season in his hand and the long term contract has initially been agreed with the player: "Mauro stays here" that was declared last night by his agent and brother Sergio Zaratè - "He wants Lazio and he stays at Lazio, there exist no doubt about this. The last details are still missing on the agreement with Al Saad, but those are details"

Details or not, those operating on the market have not given up. The executive Director of Portsmouth, Peter Storrie, has preferred to step back with the classic "No comment". The directors from Middlesborough have tried until the last minute to throw themselves in the negotiations. Zaratès contract is armoured though. Lazio expect this morning the original documents: In Formello the closure of the deal is considered a formality, so much that the press office is working on the official presentation of the player, which could happen already this afternoon. Lotito has put the agreement in the safe and he does not expect any "low blows" from the Arabic leaders.

Yesterday the player, together with Carrizo, were searching for a new house that will be his home for the next 5 years. For nothing in the world, there will be any change in that schedule.

While waiting for Zaraté to be official, Lotito is looking to cut down the squad. Today is scheduled a meeting between Lotito and Stendardo´s agent: Udinese seem to be the most determined squad to take the defender, who in the last days also has been called by the trainer Marino. In Rome would arrive Giampiero Pinzi. They are working on an exchange based on loan deals, at most it could be co ownership deals. There is a reserved approach from Napoli for Foggia and Baronio is of interest to Atalanta, Valladolid and Malaga. Pisa is looking at Inzaghi, Berni and Diakitè, while Livorno has made the arrival of Bonetto official

President Lotito will be side by side with Guglielmo Acra today, one of the possible replacement for Walter Sabatini. The first objective: To cut down the squad. Rossi risks to leave for the trainingcamp with 38 players.

Zaratè : The contract has been deposited

The official website of Lega Calcio has at 11.25 announced the deposit of Mauro Zaratès contract. The Argentine who comes from Al Saad is a temporary transfer, since the player arrives on a loan deal (with a direct buy out clause), but at least this season he will for sure dress the Lazio jersey.

Sampdoria in on the track of Valon Behrami. The Swiss midfielder, who is leaving Lazio is already in talks with a few English and German clubs, but yesterday the blucerchiato General Director has talked for a long time with the agent of the player. It could develop in short time.

Transfermarket: Pinzi very close

Pinzi close to Lazio. For Domizzi no valid negotiations. These are the words that came out from the agent of both players, Danilo Caravello, interviewed by Radio Radio: "Udinese have accepted the Pinzi´s wish concerning a change of environment", the agent said "... and Lazio is a destination that appeals a lot to the player. It´s a transfer that could be closed very soon, although a few details are still missing." As opposed to what concerns Domizzi: "There are no negotiations on the line. Lazio and Genoa are the teams most interested, but an agreement is still far away

Transfermarket: Caballero´s name appears

Cristian Ledesma could open the door to Augusto Fernandèz (who remains the prime objective) indirectly. He has applied for the Italian passport because of his marriage. He has been married to a girl from Lecce for four years. The documents have been transferred to the Internal Ministery: "We expect an answer within short time", Lotito declared two days ago in Formello. The OK could arrive in these hours. On Saturday a meeting is scheduled with Vincenzo D´Ippoliti, who is Ledesmas agent, in order to also discuss the extension of the Argentines contract: D´Ippolito has demanded that Lotito takes in consideration that Ledesma has reached a level comparable to the best players in his position.

While expecting to free an extra Non EU spot (today reserved for Fernandèz), Lotito is looking at other operations. And other positions in order to complete the squad at Rossi´s disposal - "a highly competitive one" Lotito has said. A central defender and a right sided player, who can relieve the pressure on Lorenzo De Silvestri are still missing. Lazio wants a player, who can cover the entire right side and who knows how to cover both the midfield and the defence. A direct substitute for Behrami and for this role Fernandèz is not being considered. (The Argentine has other charateristics, he is not a full back)

Since a long time the wide player from Livorne, Nico Pulzetti has been a candidate. A few days ago, Bernard Mendy´s name also surfaced. A French player of Senegalese origin, who has freed himself from Paris Saint Germain. Rossi is studying DVDs of the player. Even more recently occured an Uruguayian candidate, who could move in as the second Non EU player. Pablo Caballero. He is playing as right back at Nacional Montevideo: His technical style of play can be compared to that of the Brazilian Cafù. He has great speed, good at pushing forward and a good sense of involving himself in the attacking game, he has a fairly good shot. He is born on the 21st of January 1987, which means he is now 21 years old. He is a regular in the same team where Fernando Muslera has played, when he was aquired by Lazio last summer and where Lazio were looking to take Bruno Fornaroli. In January Lotito looked to have closed a deal for another of his teammates, the midfielder Cardaccio. Caballero costs around 2 million Euro.

Stendardo´s agent: "He is moving on"

Guglielmo Stendardo´s future in Lazio is looking difficult. The defender has been approached by Udinese and Napoli: "Stendardo doesn´t stay at Lazio!" assures his agent Gaetano Fedele. "Napoli? In the past they were looking at him, but now with Rinaudo´s arrival they are covered"

Berni, Diakitè and Correa towards Pisa

While waiting for the handover of power from Covarelli to the entrepreneur Pomponi, Pisa might close the first mega operation of the market with Lazio. Infact, Berni, Diakitè and Correa are all part of the Tuscan side´s plans, who could construct the squad for next season with the three biancocelesti players.

Foggia: Dilemma for Lazio

Napoli, Palermo, Sampdoria. They are all looking for him. They all want him. But is it even sure that he is leaving Lazio? And above all, is it even sure that the biancoceleste would agree to let him leave? Also because Pasquale Foggia could be very useful to the new Lazio. Just like, with the benefit of hindsight, he would have been very useful to Lazio during last season. Would Lazio then really commit the same mistake once again? With the aggravation of strengthening a team on the same level as the biancoceleste.

The debate is open. Also because, in this moment there still hasn´t arrived one of those offers where it´s difficult to say No. There is a lot of interest, that is for sure. The crazy Neapolitan remains one of those players who might be considered nonchalant. It´s surely in the light of this consideration, that Lazio have those doubts that speak in favour of a sale. Certainly, for Foggia to remain in biancoceleste permanently, the knots to untie are not few. That means to bebuild the relationship with Delio Rossi, that suffered a blow one and a half year ago, when the fantasista was loaned out to Reggina. For the time being, that peace is hypothetical, but one year ago it was not even possible. Then there is the tactical aspect. The fundamental part in the crisis between Foggia and Lazio was always the difficulties in positioning the player tactically. From this point of view, the passage to the 3-4-3 system would open new posibilities.

But what does the Lazio World think about the Foggia issue? "I believe it´s a necessity to try and rebuild the relationship and keep Foggia at Lazio", that is Bob Lovati´s opinion. "The value of the player is remarkable and the squad needs a talent like him. Moreover, he is still young, so he can grow with Delio Rossi, enough to mature some aspects in his character". More cautious is Vincenzo D´Amico: "Foggia´s qualities are many. One out of many? His fantasy. He has that fantasy and inspiration that not everyone has. But if the coach keeps playing with the 4-3-3, he doesn´t have the posibillity to play". To sum up: They are of the idea that the decision is Delio Rossi´s to make, after he has understood how much space he can give to the player.

Foggia yes, Foggia no, Foggia maybe. And to complicate the decision even further, there is also Meghni and Del Nero. Both are trying to relaunch themselves after hopefully having resolved their respective physical problems definitively. They will be left in second row of Rossi´s hierarchy, but if Foggia remains permanently, it would close their space even further.

Pinzi-Stendardo: Only details missing

Next season could include the chance of once again seeing Giampiero Pinzi in the biancoceleste jersey. The agreement with Udinese has been found, based on an exchange with Stendardo with the two players changing clubs in co ownership deals. It´s only one step away. The last couple of days, they have been working on the Neapolitan defenders contractual position. The last renewal with Lazio put Guglielmo Stendardo´s salary very close to the one million mark. The defender has now accepted the friulian destination and is sure to leave Lazio, thus sealing the deal. This was declared by Danilo Caravello, who is also the agent of the midfielder: "It´s a transfer that could be closed very soon, missing only a few details." The dream of the ex Primavera is close to be realized. Pinzi´s arrival does not close the door on Augusto Fernandèz. The Argentine could still arrive when the communitarian passport is ready. Lotito however, will not exclude the arrival of another non EU player.

Leonardi: Stendardo? Nothing new

Pietro Leonardi, Sporting Director of Udinese, was interviewed by Radio Incontro during the transmission "1900 Laziali Doc" in order to clarify the negotiations with Stendardo.

"These talks have turned into a matter of pure gossip one week ago. After I had come to Formello, I started reading things in the newspapers which are wrong. It has been a fast developing gossip in order to verify if there may be the conditions to make such kind of talks happen. From that day I have not listened to anyone, meaning there are not the conditions to go forward with these talks, I don´t have to add anything else. Tomorrow we are going to the trainingcamp and we are going to let those negotiations influence us"

Direct: The presentation of Zaratè

Like with Juan Pablo Carrizo, our friends and former home, Piazza della Libertà, were present at the official press conference for the presentation of Mauro Zaratè (scheduled today at Formello)

Claudio Lotito introduced the presentation of the Argentine attacker like this: "Today we present a player, who many have thought wouldn´t arrive. I have listened to hallucinatory things... I have smiled. He comes from a different environment and didn´t understand all this disinformation.

Zaratè is 21 years old, his history demonstrates that he has potential: He has been the youngest topscorer in Argentina, has a good working ability, he plays with great quality with both feet and he is very fast. He will complete a very important attack and we will make to see that his qualities will give an important contribution. I hope also with regards to goals, in order for the team to regain the role in the league that we compete for. He is young and needs to acclimatisize, but he has the right attitude. It appears to me that he has a lot of willingness to demonstrate his worth and he wants to affirm his nations value on ground of what his compatriots that preceded him have done.

Then began the questions for Zaratè

In England it didn´t go very well, with which expectations do you arrive in Italy?
"I believe the experience in England has been positive considering where I came from. Now I hope to do at Lazio the same as I did in Argentina"

Why have you chosen Lazio?
"Out of all the teams that have approached me, noone has done what Lazio did in order to get me here. I wanted to come to Italy and I am very happy to be here"

For a young forward it´s not easy to get used to everything. Have your brother told you something about that?
"Because it´s difficult I must get used to it soon, the first games are fundamental"

We have read that Boca wanted you to replace Palacio who would arrive at Lazio. When did you know about Lazio´s interest? Do you think you are similar to Palacio?
"We are similar and it´s true that Palacio was supposed to come to Lazio, but I am happy that it is me who arrived"

Describe your strong sides and your lacks. Where do you think you can improve?
"I am a player who likes to dribble and exploit my speed. I like to always go forward. I have to learn to pass the ball first time in certain situations"

Are you a box player or rather a second forward?
"That´s not a problem. I can play in various attacking roles"

Did you already meet Delio Rossi?
"No"

Do you know Rocchi and Pandev?
"Yes, I know them. I am sure we will play well together"

When you played in the Under 20 World Cup, you were among the best.
"I was not able to demonstrate my true value, because I took a blow in the beginning which almost kept me out all the tournament, but I recovered in time for the final and I suceeded by scoring the decisive goal"

Do you have an idea about Lazio´s objectives? Do you know the level of the Italian championship?
"The objective for any player is to fight for the Scudetto. The teams that are above us in the standings will also aim for this, we´ll see"

Why did you go to Qatar two years ago?
"This question I have been asked many times, now I´m happy because I have returned to a competitive championship and I hope to do well"

In Lazio there have been many Argentine champions. Is that a responsibility for you?
"I understand that I will always be confronted with them, but I hope to always fight for the most important objectives just like my predecessors have done"

Have you been compared to some of the Argentines of the past?
"It´s difficult to compare me to anyone. I am similar to Palacio, I know only little of those from the past"

What are you most curious about coming to Italy?
"Whatever player wants to play here. The championship is among the biggest in the World"

Crespo has been topscorer scoring 26 goals, do you have an objective?
"It´s very difficult, I will try to score as many goals as possible in order to carry Lazio as high up the table as possible"

What number jersey would you like?
"I always had number 9... I don´t know, we´ll see"

Have you ever player in a trident attack?
"I don´t have problems, with 3 attackers we´ll have more offensive possibilities because that system is played a lot on the sides too. Also with a central striker you create many chances. However in a trident attack, I prefer to play from the side"

You have played against Carrizo. What kind of goalkeeper is he?
"It was taken notice of that I have never scored against him when we played against eachother in Argentina. He is one of the best in the World"

Do you think you can become part of the National Team with Lazio?
"Yes, it´s one of my primary objectives, but to reach that, I have to do well at Lazio"

Would you have liked to take part in the Olympics?
"Yes very much..."
Lotito intervenes: "It´s better that he didn´t go, for Lazio and for Italy, jokes the President"

Do you have a rolemodel?
"Like every Argentine, I adore Maradona. But my rolemodel is Ronaldo. For attackers in my age, he is the point of reference"

Have you had time to see Rome. Have you met the fans? What did they say to you?
"The fans have demanded a goal against Roma. One said to me that he would have a tatoo made on his arm if I score a goal against Roma"

And will you score a goal in the derby?
"I will score two. Not one"

You have said that you have no fears, but is there nothing that worries you about this adventure?
"It´s a very tactical championship and you are marked very hard. In order to find the spaces, it´s a necessity to move quickly to find yourself one on one and take advantage of the speed and dribling.

Who is according to you the best attacker in Italy?
"Kaka..."
Once again Lotito intervenes: "he is going to be an attacker, not an observer. I seems to me that many of the questions are aiming towards this too much"

Are you here alone or with someone from your family?
"In some time my family will arrive, but not right away"

At the very end of the press conference, Mauro Zaratè has answered to a few other questions

What type of player are you? What are you characteristics?
"I like to move forward and I always do the best for the team"

Do you know Rocchi and Pandev? How will you play along with them?
"This we will have to see during the preperations"

How many goals do you promise?
"I don´t know, but for sure I will commit myself to the maximum in order to carry Lazio as high as possible"

Would you like to score against Roma?
"Of course..I wish"

Would you like to stay here further than the loan deal...for many years?
"Yes, I have come here to remain, I like it a lot"

Lotito: Ledesma community passport tomorrow

Like anticipated by Piazza della Libertà, it seems as if there will be positive news regarding the practise of Ledesma´s community passport. This was confirmed by President Lotito during the official presentation of Mauro Zaratè.

"I don´t know who got hold of the news about Ledesma´s passport" - Lotito have answered almost incredulously to the journalists, who asked for informations. "Certainly it has seen the light too quickly, which means there are people who refer to things which they should not. Anyhow, I do confirm that Ledesma from tomorrow morning will count as a community player. This will not influence, as I have read, on other negotiations in the transfermarket. However, we continue to work on the market bringing in players, but at the moment the priority is to cut down the squad."

Lazio: Stendardo´s agent: "He is of interest to Fiorentina too"

Udine is Stendardo´s future? There are some obstructions in the negotiations, not forgetting that the player is also requested by Fiorentina. But the idea of Udinese fascinates. "We are only waiting for Lotito to decide what to do: Everything is in the hands of the Lazio President". Those are the words of Gaetano Fedele interviewed at Radio Kiss Kiss.

Stendardo-Pinzi: Leonardo blocks everything

Selling is a necessity: After the deposit of Czeck striker Libor Kozak´s contract, incoming transfers have now stopped. About the affair Pinzi-Stendardo for example, the Sporting Director Pietro Leonardi bursted out: "We had the agreement with the players, Pinzi had accepted Lazio and Stendardo had accepted Udinese. We have waited for Lazio, but the waiting doesn´t merit the value of the transfer. Everyone keeps their player". Fiorentina and especially Bologna have now put their eyes on the Neapolitan central defender. President Lotito, helped from at least four agents and Sporting Directors, is therefore now thinking of selling as many players as possible.

Problems also for Domizzi´s transfer, who on Sunday will catch up with his teammates from Napoli in the trainingcamp. Meanwhile, Riccardo Bonetto, talking to the microphones of Radio Incontro, has marked up Delio Rossi´s problem: "His problem is the management of the group. He is an old style coach: He has his 14 players, the other´s don´t even know they exist."

Lazio: Pinzi no

The negotiations for the exchange between Pinzi-Stendardo have stopped, also because now Bologna is in for the defender. The rossoblu are ready to take the Lazio defender in exchange for money. A solution that appeals more to Lotito than the player exchange with Pinzi. For the right side, beyond Fernandèz, there is Caballero (Nacional Montevideo).

The Kozak deal is official. Behrami close to a deal with Werder Bremen: 4 million compensation for Lazio. Three year deal for Tare, but in a managerial position: The Albanian quits as a player.

Ledesma is "Italian", now it´s time for Fernandèz

The news arrived yesterday and took all by surprise: Ledesma has sworn fedelity to the Italian flag, at Rome´s registration office, and one minute past midnight he officially became an Italian citizen. Therefore Lotito can aquire another non EU player and everything indicates he will be dealing for Fernandèz, even if the President restrains: "We will see what will happen in the next few days, also because right now our priority is to sell". The President has also confirmed, that Tare will become the figure, who will be the connecting link between the squad and the club.

On the transfermarket, like it has been repeated many times, Lazio are working on the outgoing transfers, but on one condition, which is no player exchanges: "Otherwise the squad remains much too big" Lotito has underlined. The road leading to Udinese is fading away, so Stendardo has been requested by Bologna. A soluzion which doesn´t appeal to the player. The same can be said for Inzaghi: Pisa want him, but he has already said No. Yesterday the striker was talking to Lotito on the telephone , who has confirmed that at Lazio he would have very little possibility to play.

Lazio: "Black smoke" for Pinzi

Black smoke in Casa Lazio regarding the possibility to aquire Giampiero Pinzi from Udinese. The player´s agent Danilo Cavallero has in fact declared to the Internet site noiaquilebiancocelesti: "The situation has stalled, because when the agreement for an exchange with Stendardo, based on loan deals, was very near, President Lotito has blocked everything because of the necessity to cut down the squad size, before aquiring any new players"

Meanwhile, also from Lazio leaves the Argentine midfielder Lucas Alberto Belmonte Correa for Pisa, just as it had been confirmed by the Tuscan´s Sporting Director Claudio Anellucci: "We are closing the talks for Correa. We are now estimating the formula, which could well be a loan deal."

Pinzi´s agent: Negotiations still possible

Danillo Caravello, agent of Domizzi and Pinzi on a "call in" to Radio 6 talks about the transfermarket situation connected to his two clients with regards to Lazio.

Exchange Pinzi-Stendardo:
"The negotiations were ongoing and could still be" - Caravello said, in reality without seeming very convinced about that. The problem is that Lazio, before taking other players, needs to cut down the current squad. We´ll see what happens, in the meantime, the players will take part in their respective trainingcamps because they are under contract, but Udinese is looking for a central defender and Pinzi is surely a player for Lazio. It´s true that for him there are also other teams (Sampdoria more than anyone), but for Pinzi it would be very beautiful to return to Lazio, at a time when he has turned into an important player".

Domizzi:
"He has been called for the trainingcamp and we have an agreement with the club to keep following the developments in the transfermarket. Domizzi therefore remains on the market, but Napoli want money and still haven´t taken a player exchange into consideration" But why is Domizzi on the market after such a great season? "It´s a necessity for him. It´s him who requested it".

To conclude: Caravello reassures that for Pinzi there are still a chance to negotiate, while for Domizzi it looks more difficult."
