according to Corriere, this deal is almost complete, just the final details need to be sorted.

Lazio have agreed with Udinese and Pinzi wants to come of course, because he is laziale himself

it will be a swap deal, Stendardo to Friuli, Pinzi to Formello.
Great. I've been hoping for us to sign him since last summer.

for those who understand Italian.... here is the latest

Quote :
ROMA, 9 luglio - Pinzi torna a casa.

basically the Pinzi transfer is looking good, but Domizzi is still far away from us

Yes to Pinzi <-- (Baronio and Manfredini have to go)

Yes to Domizzi <-- (Zauri Replacement)

It would be nice to have these guys playing for a starting spot and our bench will be very strong for having a consistancy in our Midfield..

Ledesma-Pinzi-Mutarelli-Mudingayi

I heard Rossi will go for a 3-4-3 formation next season.

GK: Carizzo
DF: Radu-Rozenhal-Stendardo
MF: Ledesma-Pinzi-Meghni-Mudingayi
AT: Pandev-Rocchi-Zarate

Meghni will explode.. I truely believe so.. he needs to play consistantly and not get injured to much..

Plus..

We have the likes of Foggia, Di Silvestri, Kolarov etc on the outside.. Foggia should be a regular.. he is fantastic.

More like:

Carizzo
De Silvestri - Rozenhal, Cribari - Radu/Kolarov
Pinzi, Ledesma, Dabo
Rocchi
Pandev, Zarate

In your line-up we don't have any wingers (if you play 3-4-3, 2 of ur midfielders have to play as wings...that's the whole strength of the system, when u attack u play 3-4-3, when u defend u play 5-2-3...). Moreover, we don't have real wingers in our team on the left side...Radu is more a defender, while Kolarov is too unstable to keep the whole left side...and we get rid of Zauri...on the right side we have De Silvestri, since Behrami will leave....

If we would keep Zauri and Behrami, we could play 3-4-3 like this:

Carizzo
Rozenhal, Cribari, Radu
Behrami/De Silvestri - Ledesma, Dabo - Zauri/Kolarov
Rocchi
Pandev, Zarate

but than what do we do with Mudingayi, Pinzi, maybe Fernandez, Mauri, Meghni and so on....

No that's not true I think. Lotito is a good businessman and he knows better than anyone that he has to sell some players. I'm not afraid of this. At the end of the mercato Baronio, Manfredini, Vignaroli, Tare... They will be gone.

And Pinzi, I hope that Lotito gets him. But the deal is really close, I have faith in it.

Avanti!
[/quote]

But the problem is, it's so hard to find clubs who are interested in our players. Lottito keep signing these old washed out players or renewing their useless contract. Manfredini and Baronio have been on their way out for a few years now. And Vignaroli got signed when not even able to secure a regular position in a serie B club. Lottito is also a hard bargainer which means he tries to sell these players at contract value when they really aren't worth that much.

Seems as though Pinzi will not be joining Lazio once again but will go to Torino instead :( bad for us but a nice capture for De Biase and his squad if the deal goes through.

Perhaps Lotito did not make much of an effort to bring Giampiero to Lazio because he is certain he can land Fernandez instead? Does that seem realistic enough?
