Fabio Firmani is back, after the long absence, he had his first training session with the rest of the team today... It is possible that he will be ready to play for the Coppa Italia match against Cagliari

so word is he could leave in january, but he personally wants to remain here for life

he will be fully fit and ready for the Reggina game, we all saw him score a couple of important goals last season and how much he loves Lazio and the tifosi is no secret.

It would be a real shame if he was let go I think

you can't buy players like Fabio

laziale si nasce

read this interview (i translated it as literally as possible)

Quote :
FIRMANI: LAZIO FOR LIFE

New signings? No, thanks. Lazio already has them at home. So far they have hardly played but now they are ready to give their contributions. An example? Fabio Firmani. Temper of a warrior and a mad desire to make his mark on this Lazio.

Firmani, what is your situation?

"The dark period is finally behind me. I can't wait for the new year to arrive so I can say goodbye to a 2008 which was full of problems."

"The problem was the toe on the right foot that affected me during the ritiro. Then, once this problem was solved, it was teh calf's turn but now everything is OK though and I can't wait to return."

Are you like a new signing ...

"Well, in a sense, yes, given that so far I haven't played. Matuzalem is also in the same siutation. We have often worked together recently and I can assure you that he also has a great desire to be a protagonist" .

Where can this Lazio go?

"Our goal was to reach the UEFA Cup. And it has to stay like that for now. But if we get a chance to fight for 4th, we won't hold back."

Back in Europe, revenge in the derby. And then?

It's always good to win the Coppa Italia. I felt this joy when I played for Vicenza and it was beautiful. With Lazio, which I'm in love with, it would be fantastic. "

So much love so as to refuse offers from other teams. Will it always be like this in future?

"Yes, my idea is to stay here for life. One reason is I feel I have given Lazio less than I could. And I don't like to leave a job halfway."

Now holidays before the slog as you prepare to return?

"No, I'm in Rome to train. I just found my fitness again and I can't be stopped. There will be time next summer for holidays."

I think we all want Firmani to be fit enough to play and make an impact. He hasnt been given that much time when fit, but I must say that Ihave never seen him be bad. He is not a top player, but he has his heart in the right place and it would be a shame to let him go...

I love a player who loves Lazio too, for me it such a representation from laziale. I don't know Fabio Firmani before after I read all these posts. I thought he is just fringe player who spent their time at Lazio in bench. But it was all wrong. I'll wait you Fabio... cheers bounce

2 days for Fabio!
The judgement:

Una giornata a Ferrari (Genoa), Mudingayi (Bologna), Carboni e Terlizzi (Catania), Cirillo (Reggina), Codrea (Siena), Contini e Gargano (Napoli), Lukovic (Udinese), Marchetti (Cagliari), Natali (Torino), Pazzini e Sammarco (Sampdoria) e Yepes (Chievo).
