July4th

Mudingayi is ready to renew

Agente Mudingayi: “Rinnoveremo presto”

Giovanni Branchini, Gaby Mudingayi manager during a show on radio Kiss Napoli, cleared his player position.
“Mudingayi is very important for President Lotito and we are evaluating the opportunity to renew the contract with SS Lazio since now because in 2 years the old one will end.

I don't like the new scenario with the new rules by Figc and players are going to sign very short contracts even if they are in good feeling with their own teams.

Last i heard he's going to Bologna. If the fee is really 8 mil. euros, than Lotito did a very good job.

PostSubject: Mudy to Bologna   Thu Jul 17, 2008 11:56 am

It seems that Lazio and Bologna have agreed on all the details for the transfer of Gaby Mudingayi. Somewhere, like Cittaceleste, it says that the transfer is worth 8 mil. euros, but i believe that it's like Lazialita says - 6 mil. euros.

As much as i liked Mudy to stay, with the arrival of Matuzalem and the presence of Dabo, he couldn't be part of the starting 11, at least in Rossi's eyes. He was a great player for us, locking down the path to our goal, but sometimes also made mistakes that cost us dearly. But the most importnat thing is that he wore our shirt with pride and never disrespected it. For that he'll always be a Laziale to me.

Good luck in Bologna, Mudy!

PS: Does this mean that Muta stays?

Even though I likve Gaby a lot, for such an amount it would be a sin not to sell him.

He is OK, but replacable. Also, he would not find much room if Rossi decides to use for good the 3-4-3 formation.

If this is true, I am very satisfied.
First he is fighter, but also make big errors, and to be honest I have wanted him out. I thought , he wasn't at transfer list, but probably with such offer it is
hard for Lotito to say no.

A hard worker but he can't pass well enough. 8m or 6, this would be a good deal for both clubs. Thanks for the service Gaby.

All the rest say that we transfered him fully to Bologna.
If we get 6 mill for co-ownership, is the best deal we made this summer...

Damn, this made me sad, he was my favourite (and still is until the deal is official) at Lazio and I totally love him. But if we get 6-8 million € for him I must admit it's a good deal.

Thank you for everything, Gaby, I wish you good luck in the future and you'll be missed by us all!

Gaby is already in Bologna to finalize the contract.
Transfer : 5,8 mln euro in 3 years to Lazio
Salary 500.00 ?? ( I have a doubt)

I must accept that Gaby is going to sign the contract in few hours then he will come to Rome to choose with his family , beautiful, when and how to move for Bologna.

If this transfer will be confirmed i am ready to collect your messages for him and consigne the booklet next week .

Completely agree with The Big Payback...a midfielder that don't pass good the ball at 10metres+ can't play in a great team.
However thank you for all Gaby!

He seems lost...guess becoming a starting player for sure and also an influential player in Bologna is quite attracting, instead of being uncertain wether he will be a starting player in Lazio. Also, we are probably going to engage at least one or two more midfielders before the transfer window closes and that leaves Gaby in an even more insecure situation if he would stay in Lazio...but still it makes me sad...

Tell him good luck from me Eremetico...he has truly been a symbol for us during the last seasons...he is one of my favourites due to his way to always give 100% on the pitch...this makes me a bit sad, but i guess 5.8 mil is a quite good deal...

We are getting good money for him yes, and at bologna he will be a key player in a side which is looking good for survival

still, its sad to see a guy who always have 100% leave, he was a big part of us making Champions League. the kind of player that is respected by everyone and symbolises "Non mollare mai"

ciao Gaby

Hmm...Let me be honest with when i first saw "Bologna sign Mudingayi"...Abit of shock, because I believe he is such a hard working, tough tackling midfielder who was a tad unlucky not to receive game time...And since we signed him on a free from Torino i believe?! Channel4italia says 4.5 million outright 4 year contract..nothing about co ownership..in which case i think it is quite a great deal..for someone that wasn't first choice its money that we need to freshen up the squad..

I specifically remember mudy playing some great games v roma...tough tackling, bossing in midfield...problem is that we need some goal scoring midfielders who create much more than mudy could offer...but i will say he always put 110% every game he put on the lazio shirt...

Thank you for your service!

Bologna Sign Mudingayi

Lazio midfielder Mudingayi has moved to Bologna where he arrives on a four year contract, for a fee of around €6m.

“Tomorrow I will be in Bologna but for the moment I am in Rome to finalise some details,” Mudingayi has explained.

“This morning I left Lazio’s pre-season camp in a hurry because the deal was completed last night.

“Of course I am sad to leave the Biancocelesti but at the same time I am happy to be going to Bologna.”

The 26-year-old, who has won seven caps for Belgium, has been at Lazio since 2005 when he arrived from Torino. He started his career at Belgian club K.A.A Gent.

I'm not too sure what to think about this. He has potential to be a very good player, though he was often hit or miss with us.

He's def. a big / fast body that we could have used...

So, now what?
