although anyone can edit it and thus it can be unreliable, wikipedia does state that Artipoli will play for Sampdoria this season and that he's currently on a co-ownership deal.

that may prove nothing, but it means someone, somewhere has information that suggests this.

Giolazio...

Are you sure about Artipoli being in Sampdoria ??

Last season he was in Lazio in a co ownership deal shared between Lazio and Sampdoria and I am sure that deal was renewed about a month ago with the player staying at Lazio. So it would surprise if Samp had come back for him now... Even more so because I canīt find any news item about such a deal...

Artipoli is not in the trainingcamp though. He remained in Rome yesterday and is sure to leave Lazio if a club can be found... Modena is interested though...

I seem to think La Gazzetta made a simple typing error, mistaking the settlement/destination of the Artipoli co ownership deal agreed/extended almost one month ago...

But of course, I could be wrong

Can you clarify Giolazio?

Thanks

Emmm...Gazzetta claims he is at Modena. I don't know if it is possible to loan a player who is co-owned to another club. However i was on the Modena website and there was no news about Artipoli although I have no idea how much detail goes into the site. The mystery continues....Unless Mamma Artipoli had triplets! Very Happy

Ok, it could be that is was a mistake, as this link confirms the co-ownership deal has been renewed.

http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Primo_Piano/2008/06_Giugno/25/comproprieta.shtml

The only other possible solution is he is co-owned by Lazio and Sampdoria but somehow is allowed to be loaned to Modena.

I tried my best! Sleep

so nobody knows where he is.

at least Zauri looks set for Samp.

but according to reports in Ireland, Shevchenko is heading to Samp too !?

Ledesma will not sign a new contract "under any circumstances".

Good work Gio...

I am sure Artipoli is in Rome training with the other "left outs"... Modena is apparently close to him, but I thought the same as you did, that when being in comproprieta (co ownership) between two clubs, you wouldnīt be able to move on loan to a third club...Not sure about that though...

Perhaps Modena is looking to sign him completely, although the rumours suggest itīs a loan deal. But it wouldnīt be the first time, that I have seen the formula on which the player is signed is different when the transfer is completed from what was suggested in the rumours leading up to the transfer..

weīll see

I'm not sure, but Lazio may have a right to loan him as the co-ownership agreement means he stays at Lazio, but I would prsume they would also need Samp's backing, so I don't know.

it is quite a strange situation though, because Modena can't buy out someone's 50%.

guys, I just found an article on football transfers, I won't post a link as it is incredibly long and difficult to find the relevant point.

what it says though is that no co-ownership deal is exactly 50/50. it says one team always has a higher percentage somehow and that club decides where the player can play but has no control of media or sponsorship.

if this is correct, that means Lazio can decide where Artipoli plays this season.

the latest I've heard on Lichtsteiner is that he wants to come to us but needs to speak with the coach. he hopes a deal can be concluded by the end of this week.

I also heard Real Madrid wanted him as back up to Ramos.

Indeed. also Lyon, PSG, Everton interested him. We are compete with rich clubs.

But, Lotito bid 2m to Lichtsteiner. I think this negotiations are proceeding with difficulty.

The guy is quite good.
It is the perfect solution for us, and this is what Lotito has in mind.
He spent some money on Radu, Rozenhal and Zarate, now he wants good deals.
And I fully agree that the guy can do at least as good as Behrami.

if he's good enought o be considered as a back up for Ramos, surely he's good enough for our De Slivestri too.

I know nothing about this Lichtsteiner .. but do we really need him?

We're looking for a backup to De Silvestri .. and considering we only participate in the league and coppa this season Lorenzo should and will(?) play the majority of the games this season .. so do we really need to spend (waste?) money on a backup player .. we already have Belleri .. which in my eyes is a competent backup for right fullback/wingback .. shouldn't we instead use the money to reinforce the midfield?

As I see it we should stick with De Silvestri/Belleri for this season

The same here , this guy Lichtsteiner doesn't inspire confidence in me at all......

Lichtsteiner is wanted by Real, that should say something to you.

I've seen him play and he's solid. He plays for the same Swiss side as Behrami, so he's in a similar class.

potentially, he can play both RB and RM, so if we fail to bring in a Fernandez, we're covered, with Manfre too.

considering we will probably go with 3 in midfield, this is all the depth we will need.

Yeah , nice story........

He doesn't have nothing in common with Behrami in my opinion.

I'm not saying he did, they have completely different attributes but he could fulfil a similar role, long-term

it was widely reported that Real were chasing him prior to the Euros. of course this may not be true, but the fact that he was linked with such a club says something.

then again, Ledesma was linked with Real...hmmm...maybe not then! tongue

Real Valladolid set to land Lazio's Baronio
tribalfooball.com - July 15, 2008

Real Valladolid are close to an agreement for Lazio midfielder Roberto Baronio.
Baronio's agent confirmed interest from La Liga last week and the midfielder is expected to fly to Spain in the coming days for talks with Valladolid.

Fellow Primera Liga news boys Malaga are also keen.

Baronio has been a massive waste of time and money..Why did they keep this guy for so long? So many expected great things from him and he never lived up to it and could never force his way into the team!! His now 30yrs old...What a waste of time and effort and money!

We are close to the Uruguayan Caballero and West Ham is closest to Behrami.

I find it hilarious that Behrami wanted to leave to compete at a higher level but it's teams like West Ham that are linked with him.

Behrami would rather leave Lazio for a no hoper team like west ham??? This guy is not a Laziale...

Any idea of transfer fee for behrami?

Also any idea of how good Caballero is?

To be honest with you, West Ham were a solid Top 10 side in the EPL last year, whereas, we ended up 12th. Also, West Ham have better finances and can pay him a nice juicy salary. We can't, and even if we could, Lotito wouldn't give him it.

Caballero plays in the uruguayan league I think. If so, that says he's not that great, otherwise he'd be in argentina or brazil at least.
