Not just a random goal, but an extremely nice one! Well done!

Any other comments around his display?

I think this Italy squad looks very interesting and extremely promising...

Taken from The Belfast Telegraph 08/06/09

"For Italy’s second, from substitute Foggia on 53 minutes, Coates and Casement were beaten all ends up and then twisted and turned by the brilliant Lazio forward before he deftly chipped Tuffey. Brilliant bit of skill from the 25-year-old but the central defenders will be disappointed their challenges failed to thwart the danger."

Yours truly,William

Does anyone think there may be a problem between Foggia and Ballardini?

I don't think its a problem, yet, but Pasquale is hardly getting any game time and he's one of our most creative players. He showed his class against Atalanta and although with Ballardini's current formation there is less space for him, its still a shame he doesn't get as many starts.

The team's unity has been great since Ballardini took over, but I'm just a bit worried that if Foggia doesn't feature much he may become unmotivated and want to leave - which would be a disaster for Lazio.

I hope I'm really, really wrong.

i m afraid what is a problem(a big one for us),he use he s minutes in max.,and again he s not a starter.
i m hope that balla dont have a complex of personality and he wants to shows that leaving in the bench one of the best team player,in the stile:i m the king here,i can win supercoppa, and take 6 points-whithout him,i will be very happy if i m wrong

I understand where your coming from because I would love to see Foggia playing from the start..He is a gun..

I would just say that it is a long long season and we are playing in europe aswell, so let's sit tight..We have played 2 games and won them both so good start and Ballardini is showing that he has control of the squad.

Also I guess those who doubted Cruz will be eating their words. Despite his age he still looks very good. And to get him for free is a great piece of business..

Purely a tactical issue.

Mauri has been playing very well in his role, as has Matuzalem. Zarate is titolare fisso, and simply cannot be benched, except when rested.

Foggia has no defensive side to his game, therefore can only play as the trequartista or second striker in Ballardini's rombo. It's unfortunate but the system is working and therefore there can't be any questions over Balla's choices.

Foggia has signed a lengthy contract, and has never complained. This means that he's happy and if he does leave, which I hope he doesn't, we'll get a decent sum for him. No problems for me.

Lets wait a few more rounds, and then we can have a proper idea of what Ballardini has in mind. We have met two teams where Foggia wouldnt really come to his best, I would be surprised if he didnt play against Juve, alongside Zarate and Rocchi...

He's unhappy, and Ballardini wishes for a "truce" by fielding him on Thursday in Europa League.

When will any coach trust Pasquale enough to give him an important role? He can't defend? So what, we are on a 6 match winless run and need creativity and goals to win these matches, surely there can be a way to fit him in. In that time he has either been played up front or benched. 4-3-3 is the way to go (here I go again Wink ), we have attacking full-backs, Zarate who comes in from the left mostly already, at least when he is most effective, and a bunch of central midfielders. Matuzlem can play deeper, he has before.

Unfortunately Pasquale went for too much power and not enough accuracy. Right placement however (top centre - but obviously over hit it). It could have been really, really useful. Crying or Very sad
