He deserves a spot in the starting line-up, no doubts about that. Wish him the best for the upcoming season!

FOGGIA, LAZIO NEED HIM.

In the weeks leading up to the game, Rossi made it clear Foggia would be starting in Cagliari, but then the coach changed his mind. However, the bitterness only lasted until the end of the 1st half and then the great satisfaction arrived, after he responded to the boos of his former fans with the goal of 3-1.
With the shirt of Lazio, the Neapolitan fantasista has never really been successful. But there is already a feeling that Foggia has already climbed several positions in the hierarchies of Rossi. The words of the manager last Saturday opened the door for the Neapolitan: “This season we will nearly always play with the trident”. And in the trident there is a place for Foggia, at least until the return of Rocchi. Against Sampdoria, at the Olimpico, Rossi may start Foggia, Pandev and Zarate from the 1st minute

ALARM FOR PANDEV – Macedonia asks for a lot from Pandev, who will play in the World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday and Wednesday. But on Monday the striker skipped that 1st part of training, claiming he feels pain in his right knee, after the game with Cagliari. And yesterday, the Lazio player missed both training sessions. Doctors of the Macedonian national team are optimistic though – for the game with Scotland on Saturday he will be fine. Lazio hopes for the same outcome.

yep thats true. its not fair to bench him when Rochi is back. Foggia is quick and makes havoc in oppositions half and above all he has very good technique.

As far as Pasquale is preforming as well as he has the last games offensively he should continue as a starter. However, with time, Rossi must come up with a good solution regarding our 4 most obvious offensve choices as attackers. One of them must be rested so we do have something to throw in if things are not going as good as it should and we need more power in attack...tricky choice...

Similar to the other story but with a few extras.

Foggia enjoys Lazio return

Lazio trequartista Pasquale Foggia is delighted with the way things have gone since returning to the capital in the summer.

The 25-year-old has only made four starts for the Biancocelesti this season, but has scored two goals, including the winner against Catania on Sunday.

“Now I want a goal in the derby and to convince Delio Rossi,” Foggia explained in an interview with radio station 'We are Lazio.'

“I am very happy for the goal and the victory. It was a group effort. I scored when things didn't seem to be going right,” he added, referring to his performance against Catania.

Foggia came off the bench in the 69th minute before popping up to make it 1-0 with just five minutes to go until the final whistle.

The former Milan youngster celebrated a little overzealously, though, and needed to be calmed down by his teammates.

“There was anger in my gesture for the ban I received and I still consider it unjust,” said Foggia, who was suspended after Lazio played Napoli on October 26.

“I said to the referee that he had directed the game against Napoli in a scandalous way. It seems excessive to me to say that you cannot tell a referee when he is wrong.”

Moving away from that subject, Foggia revealed how wonderful it is to be a Lazio player at the moment.

“To play with people who know how to play football is simple. Goran Pandev and Mauro Zarate are perfect teammates. We speak the same language.”

Foggia then talked about what's changed since he first moved to Lazio in 2006. Foggia was sent out on loan to Reggina and then Cagliari before returning to the club this summer.

“The system has changed,” he said. “Before, Lazio used the diamond, now we use a 4-2-3-1 in which I find myself very well, both on the right and the left.

“Our quality is that of knowing how to exploit the spaces in a one on one. What we do on Sunday is application of what the Coach has asked of us in the week.

“If we play well, we have to say thanks to him. I am good here and we are discussing an extension of my current deal.”

I love Foggia, he is really showing the spirit we need. Hope he gets that extention, hopefully we'll see him wit the Azzurri soon.

How does Rossi justify putting him on the bench? We need to treat Foggia as the diamomnd he is. We must make sure he stays with us...

Foggia was not 100% fit today. It was reported that he was carrying a slight injury and that's the reason why Del Nero started the game.

Besides, since returning from injury Del Nero has been in good scoring form in the midweek friendlies and he scored for the Lazio Primavera against Ascoli.

I agree Paolo. Is he 'happy' with his role now or is he still a little unsettled?

The media (rightfully) gave him best on ground. Pagelle of 7 and 7.5.
Probably 7.5 is too high but he def deserved a 7.
