PostSubject: A strange and different Lotito interview.   Thu Jul 31, 2008 1:49 pm

Today Mr C Lotito have released a long interview live in a famous Radio show in roma.
The radio speaker , Radio 6,is wellknown in roma for his powerful style and ability to face people without fear and during the 2 hours show he gave to ALL the opportunuty to talk with Lotito live on the phone or with SMS.
The fact is that, for the first time, Lotito behaviour has been more..sincere and a little bit less arrogant and 90% of the supporters recognized it.

I also called to remind Lotito that style could change with people and behaviour is very important and i also remind him that we, supporters, are expecting a little but significant show on August 12.

That's it-. maybe nothing special for you but for us living in this city a good signal.

No statements but the voice, the words, the tone and the style was different.
Sometimes you don't need only statements from people but just a different behaviour.

The fact that afterwards he went to meet the Gabriele Sandri's father is also encouraging. I'm sure that we need a little bit of effort, from both sides, to come back as one stadium.

Yes Mr Conn.
You are my witness regarding a special meeting that i had 2 weeks ago.
I spent my 5 minutes in one way only: Please try to understand that we are fans and we are all with our personality- Try to behave with sincerity and serendipity.

Also , Ale, you are italian and you can understand a person not only by words but from different views and , please confirm it, u are also a witness of how we, supporters, became suspicious in everything against each other.
This atmosphere, mainly in the city, have been worst then a poisonus virus that killed long lasting friendships among us( see the differences between 2 famous forums).

We were living our Sunday for fun and sport long time ago.
No we live part of our lives for fights ( verbal) in forums, radios, pubs...and we lost our primary Mission.

To be Football supporters.

I completely agree Paolo, in the last years the atmosphere has been really sad. But things can change again, and I'm really looking forward to seeing, one day, the whole stadium singing as one, the Curva Maestrelli following the lead of the Curva Nord, the chants and the flags and the banners...

It says in the news section that Lotito invited the Sandris to Formello. I've never known him to do something kind like that before.

Dear Ermetico,

Not only you supporters in Rome are feeling the difference, also us Laziali outside Italy. We only read Lotito's statments without hearing his voice nor tone but we noticed that they have changed.

Lotito's talks are now more clear regarding what his plans are and what he is doing. The disputes with the others dont look personal to him because the player agent does not agree with his method or the other team president is not like by Lotito, but are more directed towards Lazio's benefit and future.

All the ones who did not manage to see this through his actions can see this through the results of these actions, people started to believe in the team again, they are showing up in the summer camp and 20.000+ season tickets were sold out.

We saw that Claudio visited the Sandri's, and for me he looked like a little boy who was told what to do tongue i felt that when I read that he was very shy Embarassed and it was Gabreile's brother who broke the ice and talked to Lotito first Wink .

I think along with the transfer market purchases this summer Lotito had buying the tifosi back on his to-do summer list, and I think he did that well.

I only wish that the trouble making supporters and racist ones (irriducibilli ultra scratch ) who Lotito spent 2-3 years without significant support of the fans because he wants them outside the curva nord are not back anymore or if back they are back without their ideations and behavior that is not realted to football.

This article came out today too:

http://www.piazzadellaliberta.it/2008/08/06/lazio-addio-tetto-ingaggi/#comments

If you can't read Italian, it says that the salary cap that Lotito had has now been removed, and this year and next year the finances of the team will be improved, which will make the team more competitive on the market.

Whatever you think of him, he's done wonders with the team's economics. Things are changing, and Lotito is changing with them.

If the cap has indeed been removed it would make perfect sense to me. this is one of the reasons i never got against lotito, he needed to cap the salaries which is the biggest expense for any club and place it on firm financial footing before removing it again, and i think this is just what he did. Many ppl said he should have poured his money into the club but ppl who have experience in business or have at least studied it or have an understanding of it know that pouring money into any business from outside what it has earned is a dangerous practice.

this wasnt meant to offend anyone, just how i feel, and if lotito is indeed changing then lets just hope its a sign of good things to come.

Lotito needs to turn the revenues back up to where they belong. 20,000 season tickets sold which is great, The likes of barca and real have always had regular season ticket holders. We need to reach the 40,000 mark, We need to reach CL, buy players that sell shirts, fly over to asia, middle east to promote our club..............

I think deZio has been misquoted. What I think he was trying to say is that we don't need supporters who just buy the shirts and scarves because the club visited their area. I don't think there was any racial element to that, but more that the club should should focus on true, devoted fans like ourselves in this forum.

I agree with the way Lotito have conducted our finances... I can't say anything else because being that far from the source of the news and due to my age, I wasn't much informed about the whole case when it happend and now I can just find scattered pieces of information...

it couldn't do any harm usampa, but it would if the club went appealing to those fans. Manchester United, Chelsea and the likes are now global brands and I remember the days when Manchester United represented Manchester and not the world.

Although, I am not a Rome-based laziale, i'm proud that i'm not someone who was drawn to the club because the shirt looked nice. I saw a guy in my nearest city the other day wearing a Roma shirt. I felt like saying "Forza Lazio, Roma Merda" but I knew the guy wouldn't have a clue what I was on about. I would never like to see Lazio become that way. At least the fans we gained in the Cragnotti days did some research and found out about the club they decided to support.

You didnt understand my point. I mean that kind of fans support Dinho, Cristiano R. .....not Barcelona or Man. Utd! And now when Dinho sign with Milan, they all became rossoneri... I'm saying that "that" type of fans can be found worldwide, and in my country too for example when Dejan and Sinisa sign for Inter, a lot of people stop talking and cheer Lazio and over the night become neroazzuri. I didnt mean to offend asian people!!! I only think that friendlies cant help club in a moral way. In a financial sure they can... But I dont want Lazio become team who is looking for a money only.

It would harm the club's public image...that's all...and in that sense it would devalue people's opinion of the fans. Chelsea fans are called all sorts for supporting a rich team, Man U fans are criticised for supporting (arguably) the most powerful club in football and for me, as a Lazio fan, I've been called enough things without being criticised for supporting a club who will try anything to make money and be successful. Exapnding to far away countries is of no benefit to those who pay good money to watch the team week in week out.
