due to what seems to be a split of opinion on other threads, quite simply, should he leave now or not, yes or no.

yes - if you think he should go
no - if you think he should stay

If he really is the way like the media says, then he should be gone tomorow! No players like that deserves to play with our colours.

we dont have space in the squad for these kind of attitudes. Lazio 1st, the question is will we have enough time to find a replacement if he leaves.

As much as I have liked Ledesma and had full confidence in achieving at Lazio when he arrived from Lecce I think it is best for him to go now rather than lose him cheaply or free at the end of the season. If reports are true and indeed he is not happy at Lazio and is causing friction and a bad atmosphere in the dressing room then he should leave. Lazio do not need this. It is sad that this is happening but it happens and as many others have stated - no player is bigger than the club!

I've always like Ledesma, a very solid and skilled player. But he's made it clear that he won't re-enter negotiations and that he'll be leaving us next season. We should sell him now while we can still make money from a deal for him.

I said yes, because I think there is no more another way.... I'm sorry for that, but this is a reality now... If Lotito thinked more about renewals.......... Every serious club think first on important player renewals after season end and than about new signings.... But for Lotito it isn't case...

Yes... but only with the right price... it shouldn't be lesser than 18 million euro, 12 + a prospective young player like Pele of Inter is recommended...

don't sell him cheaply! he is still going to be useful for us... maybe if we have a really good season somehow he will change his mind and the situation will completely change.. one year is quite a long time.. an enough time to change someone's mind, a lot can happen at that time... I'd say we should be patient.. but this is only if Lotito doesn't receive any good offer of course..

But we should note that, with or without him, we should find his replacement immediately! a young and talented one is recommended because we already have the experience matuzalem and dabo

Sell him, we don't need mercenaries..

Ask for straight swap with Banega or Lassana Diarra from Portsmouth..

12 million euro plus Pele would also be good, we could use that money to get another CB or increase the salary caps

Act quick lotito, as for Ledesma dissapointing No

NO. Why not:
1. He deserves bigger salary.
2. He is practically unreplacable at the current (unfortunately only) Rossi's tactics.
3. It is too late to find replacement.
4. Even if adequate replacement is found, is is doubtfull whether he can fit into our game in such short time.

In this bussiness there is no place for hard feelings. I do not want to say that his way of communicating through media is good, but I am saying that if Lazio could answer to his salary demands, I think that things could improve and see good old Ledesma back.
Lotito is complaining how Behrami have blackmailed him, but he doesn't see that he is doing the same with Ledesma, plus I do not consider fair treatment of Mutarelli.

the more and more i give this thought i am starting to believe we should not get rid of him. at this point it will be very hard to find a good replacement for him. the only player i saw as a natural replacement was luca cigarini and hes at atalanta now...too bad this fucker didnt annouce his departure earlier

Everything depends on if it is true he doesnt intent to stay for longer, how much we could get and what we could replace him with...if the deal is right, let him go; the major problem is how we will be able to adapt to a game without him considering how important he is to our game...

You are right but.....
1) It is not about he deserves a better salary or not it is about the fact that he does not want to wait to negotiate a new contract.
2)We can get Stancovic plus we have so many creative midfielders in form such as Meghni, Mauri and Foggia who can invent football.
3)We still have a one-month-transfermarket-window.
4)We can get Stancovic who knows the city and the club and will fit in rapidly.

I believe that the problem with Ledesma was due to his agent forcing a move. Lotito has asked for patience and his agent has given a deadline. If I was president, I would have done what he did.. simply ignore such things. I am a President of a club and you are an agent.. who are you to give me deadlines?

Anyways, the rumors are its 5 million for Ledesma plus Stankovic and a one year loan of Pele.

Lotito Opens The Door For Ledesma And Stendardo

Lazio president, Claudio Lotito, has opened the door for Inter to come in and swoop for Cristian Ledesma and Guglielmo Stendardo by revealing the players can leave if they want. His revelations are likely to cause to Nerazzurri to swing into action.

Reports in Italy claim that both Biancocelesti players want out of the Olimpico and that Jose Mourinho is standing by and ready to get his wallet out.

Lotito admits that both players can leave if they want and this will be good news to the Nerazzurri as the Milanese club are keen on the Lazio duo.

"When a player no longer wants to be part of a team then we must look at the best outcome for the club and for the individual," Lotito told Datasport.

"If an offer arrives then we will evaluate it but so far I have not recieved any offers."

Lotito then balsted Ledesma's agent who recently hit out at the club regarding the midfielder's future. "Ledesma's agent should think about doing his own work rather than push clubs in his favour," concluded the chief.

The Aquilotti duo no longer seem to be a part of Delio Rossi's plans for the new campaign and they are likely to be shipped out sooner rather than later following Lotito's words.

A sad outcome really. Letting your manager manipulate you in this way and forcing a transfer out of pure greed.
Yeah right if he thinks he'll have the same role in Inter as he did in Lazio.
Good luck finding your place in the field among players like Figo,Dacourt,Viera,Jimenez,Muntari,Pele,Mancini and Stankovic. When you get there find a nice place on the bench, so atleast you have a good view of the game.

Remember when he had those lame moustache? He looked more like a character in B-movies peddling drugs in a tank top.

I'm just wondering who will replace him. I don't like the idea of buying a new regista now when we already are in august. Will the new regista have time enough to adapt to Lazio, and how do we know that he'll have sufficient qualities?

I don't like this.

To replace Ledesma our best option is Matuzalem.
And guess what? We already bought him!
So yes, I think Ledesma can go for nice money and we will NOT miss him, since we have Matuzalem who can play the same role plus is more offensive and scores more than Ledesma. And we even have Meghni who can't wait to get some playing time...As for Ledesma's defensive role, I think Dabo proved that he can do more...and we have also Baronio (still) and Firmani...
As for the technical counterparts, I am in doubt...I would like to see Deki back, but now his position is more than covered by Mauri, Foggia, Meghni, even Matuzalem...and I don't think Deki will ever be a substitute due to his huge salary...so maybe Pele is better...he can help...To be honest, I would just get money from inter (15 mil or so) and buy Moti, Pinzi and Fernandez. I mean 3 players for Ledesma is way more than Inter offers.

Matuzalem is a risky player .. he plays rough and I would prefer someone else like Dessena or another italian player

Ledesma does the job of two players on the pitch...he fills an attacking role and a defensive role. Having a player such as Ledesma in your team means you can have more options with your other midfielders.

If we play a 2 man midfield, Matuzalem and Dabo can do the job for us BUT we need two understudies who are just as capable and I think Mauri, Meghni, Foggia, Firmani and all the others can step in if the guys ever need a break.

If we go with 3 men in midfield, then I would like what I call a "scurrier" in midfield. Dabo and Matuzalem will get outrun a lot in midfield and against the bigger teams, we could suffer in this department. Mutarelli is a scurrier, but i'm worried that, now he is older, he could struggle to provide the performances we need.

my personal opinion is we should hold out for a price that matches our evaluation of him because he will not be easy to replace.
