I just hope the likes of Portugal, Holland and Spain challenge more seriuosly teamns like Italy, France and Germany.

It has become quite boring to see Italy - France fighting all the time.

I think this Euro is a more open tournament than in the last few years.

Perhaps Germany wouldn´t be a bad bet, also because Austria/Switzerland is a half homeground for them. But generally speaking, I have the impression that the traditionally big teams are all surrounded by some questionmarks, which opens up for the possibility of a surprise winner.

I am not sure how much of it I am going to watch, since Nationalteam football has just been one big joke for more than a decade now. Totally killed by FIFA/UEFA and not really interesting from a purely football point of view.

I always liked the Azzurri since their style of football obviously attracts me the most. But I just can´t support them when their team is full of riomanisti and other players I spend my entire week detesting.

So all in all, I don´t really care too much

Exactly! I hope to jinx, so Italy will win Wink

Portugal has deserved more from their last two Cups, so I hope they win.

Portugal? eh not really..they were lucky even to qualify..Poland kicked there asses, ok they got a good draw of their opponents too - Serbia was pathetic, dont get me even started... Neutral and Finland also had quite decent qualifiers in that Portugal qual group. And what have I noticed, Cristiano is an average player when he plays for the national team, far from Manchester United Ronaldo...

Yeah, he scored from 64 metres, but there was no goalkeeper ... For most of the professional players it shouldn't be a problem to score from that distance ... I've seen alot better and hard to score goals from 30 metres with a keeper between the posts Wink

Why this isn't a fairplay??? GK had not been injured or something similar... He decided to leave goal and he must take responsibility for that.

empty net is fair game, in my opinion, so long as it's not result of an injury

Quarter finals would be wonderful for us, with our awful defence players...
We'll try our best but we'll need luck against Ronaldo and his teammates Neutral

Pandev scored two goals but both of them were from offside so they didnt count Very Happy.. He played good... Not best but good..

sure ambrosini had a good season, but i'd take montolivo over him as de rossi and gattuso will cover the defensive midfield duty

Totally agree, Montolivo should have been left in the team. I hate to admit it but I think Aquilani will be one to watch this tournament.
