Hmmm strange ... scratch

Yes these guys are from merda, but they made quite a good season and no one can say they didn't ...

If we made a good season I'm sure that atleast 2,3 of our players would have been called up in the Italy squad!

I hope Italy do something big on this tournament! FORZA ITALIA!

My country Bulgaria isn't there and thats why I'll be on Italy's side like I've always been :)

Can't wait!!!

Really looking forward to watching SO many teams plays.

Not sure if there will be another "Greece" upset...but I think
a few teams could make it pretty far that most wouldn't consider
a favorite.

Although, at this point, I do like our (Italy) chances if we can
get out of our death group. Neutral

As much as I can't stand Rioma and their players...it's more difficult watching
Totti in the lineup than anyone else...so...the fact that he's not there,
makes me VERY pleased.

OUCH! We were just hit with some bad luck!

This afternoon World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro suffered a knock to his ankle after a clash with Juventus hardman Giorgio Chiellini during Italy's training session. After staying on the ground for a while, he was taken off on a stretcher and then to a hospital.

Tests confirmed that the injury is serious and the player will probably have to be operated. More tests will be made in the next 48 hours to ascertain to entity of the injury, but one thing is for sure: he will not be able to take part to Euro 2008.

The name of his replacement will be announced in the next few hours by coach Roberto Donadoni. Most probably it will be Fiorentina's Alessandro Gamberini, also a central defender.

Such a bad luck missing Cannavaro for Italy.

Without Nesta and Canna, they might really struggle.

I really hope they don't but we'll see... At moments like these I wish there was still Nesta or even Maldini.

Will be interesting to see Switzerland - Czech Republic tonight. From what I've heard, Rozehnal is in the starting eleven for the Czechs, not sure about Behrami, though.

yes Behrami is a key player for the Swiss, plays on the right wing for them

I hope he does well, will only increase value

Switzerland to win 1-0

Behrami started really well but faded in the second half.
Rozehnal was solid! Good performance.

More experienced team took the victory. Rozehnal was solid , except one missed ball in first half when Aleks Fray shot was saved by Czech.
Behrami began well , but in second was lost.
Hopefully , tonight we are going to see more attractive football from Portugal bounce
