I saw game on Croation Tv and during the first half Comentator noticed that Behrami was best player on the pitch (particularly first 20 minutes), while during the second half he was not so good, which is reasonable because he was alone on right side, while on the left side Swiss were attacking with Magnin and Barneta.
Rozenhal was excellent, not solid. He won almost every air duel and it was interesting to see when Chezchs would start organizining from their defense, Rozehnal would play on the left side while Ujfalusi would play on the center of defence. It is proved that one could have much better performance if he has a good partner to cooperate, and in this case Rozehnal showed how good he can be if he could have a good support.
By the way, the best player on the field was Fernandes of Man. City. I was impresed by his performance.

Good luck to all the teams in the tournament. I guess it is anyone's competition to win, but I would fancy Germany and perhaps France to do well. There is Italy too, but they have to get out of the group first.

Portugal 2 : 0 Turkey
Pepe and Miereles scored.

Pepe and Nani were much more than Cristiano Ronaldo that didnt have much good plays.
Turkey disapointed me i was waiting much more of that team.
Is needed to say that both goals were very good.

Nani better than Ronaldo today...? Don't think so!

I feel really bad for Switzerland, they deserved more. Poor poor Frei.

Yeah was well gutted for Frei, what a blow! Portugal played well but I think they looked vulnerable at times, a better team would have punished them!

Too bad for the Swiss to lose.
They deserved at least a draw.

I'm glad the official commentator noticed there's 2 Lazio players on each side on this opening game. bounce
I thought our club status has already "unknown" tongue
But he said that Rozenhal will be back to Newcastle this summer. Haven't we bought him? scratch
I hope his price wont rise if he played good and if Czech can go through to finals maybe...

Wouldn't matter if his value did go up as we already agreed on a sum to pay if we take the option to buy him.

just watching Austria - Croatia. So far the most action packed match! Croatia scored in 3rd minute with a penalty and they are dominating not a surprise. But Austria is trying to come back, they got some great chances now! and I would like to se Joe Simunic in Lazio shirt Very Happy man he is so passionate and a great defender!

Boring games in fact ... Germany didnt attack much after the 1 - 0 but I think they they deserve to win.
Great goal the second one.

I thought Germnay played great, though I'd like to see how their backline stands up to a better attack, there were times that Mertesacker & Metzelder looked shakey.

It actually wasn't an offside. The Italian who drifted off the field was counted as the lowest positioned player on the field, therefore making Buffon the second lowest, therefore making van Nistelrooy onside.

Loving the way Holland played. That's what I want to see.
