also I must state my disappointment at the fact that Foggia didn't even get a cap this week. Surely he has more of an international future than Simone Pepe.

not even going into the Cassano saga........

Lippi and Trapattoni made some stupid tactical decisions. Irish pundits were fuming with Giovanni, thought he was taking unnecessary risks. Everybody knew Grosso was the dangerman and it took him nine minutes to prove it.

Ireland's wide backs are awful and our first choice wide midfielders were both injured. Why Lippi didn't go 4-4-2 with Foggia on the left I'll never know because we were there for the taking.

We are an average side who keep getting favourable qualifying draws (every major tournament needs Irish drinkers) and somehow we are in with a great shout in this campaign despite the poor quality of the team.

Croatian fans that couldn't get into the stadium dor the Andorra game threw flares at the pitch from outside the stadium. The game was very nearly interrupted and there was a legitimate fear that the referee would stop the game and call it a 3-0 victory for Andorra.
The people in Croatia have for a long time expressed outrage at this type of behaviour by the so called fans that are really pushing it to the limit. One of the next matches will be stopped and then all the hard work and the passion will be for nothing.

I am all for flares, but not throwing them onto the pitch (or throwing anything for that matter)

Yeah, I'm also really happy. When I went to buy a ticket for the game I expected to see maximum 10-15.000 people, but when I saw the the stadium was almost full I was quite shocked but also really proud. We had a good game and the team made some pretty nice attacks which I haven't seen for along time. Everything is now in our hands and if we beat Ireland at home we can start thinking for the 2nd spot in the group.

It's nice we are back in the game and the contest in our group is again the topic. We re not so strong team , but neither Ireland are and frankly Italy is very unbalanced right now , or at least from what I have seen from them till now. They , Ireland , will lose points and even Italy could make some mistakes , I am hoping we don't allow more...

Thats a bit early to say as there are quite a few games left to play. Denmark needs to beat Sweden if they want to be confident, something that hasnt been very easy for you the last times the teams have played each other. Next round you travel here, and the round after you have Portugal while Sweden plays Malta. After those two rounds this group might be a lot tighter than it is now...

However, it all looks good for Denmark so far.

Yes Bendtner is extremely good at missing the target from 6 yards! Very Happy

Can't wait for the Sweden-Denmark game, it should be a good one!

Ricki Herbert and the boys gave it their all. Heads held high.

Looking forward to showdown with Spain in a few days time....

I disagree.

We played poorly in the 1st half but were much better than Macedonia in the 2nd.

All in all we deserved to win the match.
