PostSubject: WWE Wrestling   Mon Sep 08, 2008 3:28 am

Thought I would start this topic up - its about time I did so.... so are there any WWE wrestling fans on this forum like me? Very Happy Hopefully there are!!

I have been a big fan for probably a good 4-5 years and my favourites are the Undertaker, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk!

Strangely enough my younger sister is a big fan too and so is a very good close friend of mine - she follows it quite a bit aswell, but neither of them are manly or butch or anything like that Very Happy I think we all just like the concept of someone kicking someone else's ass all legal in the ring Very Happy with insane moves and different styles!

And the WWE is getting bigger every year in the US and worldwide too. The organisation also donates money and does other social and community work which is always great to see, so well done to them for that!

The 3 franchises the WWE has are ECW, Raw and Smackdown and full replays are shown here in NZ every Sunday afternoon aswell as in random hours on Friday and Saturday mornings.

I realise some of you think its all planned out Very Happy and some if it is yes, but not all and once you get addicted to it (like I did years ago), you still watch it when you can and still find it as exciting as before when your favourite wrestler beats their rival in an unbelievable match or takes out the championship gold!

In a few hours 'Unforgiven' will take place in Cleveland I think it is, with several big matches!!!!

Wow! I'm not only person in this community who loves watching WWE Very Happy

I couldn't forget days when HHH and Batista fight against each other for the World Heavyweight Championship (just after collapse of Evolution team). It was a greatest rivalry i've seen in WWE. Triple H is my favorite wrestler, and when he get few serious injuries, i stopped to follow WWE (also because of computer damage i couldn't download newest shows and TV in my country shows 2 months old performances). But now i'm planning to start watching it again Surprised

Woohoo!!!! There are a few members here who follow it Very Happy I don't watch it all the time but when I get the chance to I do. Or at least read up what happened on the wwe.com website!

ECW and Smackdown came to NZ for 2 shows in June of this year (I went to the Auckland one). It was not sold out like the previous year but still a good amount of tickets were brought by fans. It was a good night getting to see the Undertaker tombstone Edge's ass Very Happy it was supposed to be his farewell tour but last month Vickie Guerrero reinstated him Very Happy I jumped for joy when I saw it!!!!

Very Happy

Actually some of them have gone to University and studied and got themselves degrees.... for example Matt Striker has a degree in Psychology and Evan Bourne in Marketing.... some of them are smart and do this for entertainment and like acting so fair enough.

The WWE is also good in that the participate in several charity events and sponsor them aswell so that is always a much appreciated gesture.

Sorry Caxi, I just saw your comment now. I hope you managed to find a link. I watched it on justintv.com but changed channels every so often as the link was freezing and went to atdhe.net at one stage!

I used to be a big fan but now I only watch it very rarely - but its Wrestlemania XXV so I had to watch!

Just finished.... some great matches.... by far the best was Undertaker vs HBK.... it went on for over half an hour! Insane! What an epic! WOW! Now 17-0! Forza the Undertaker!

WWE Champion Triple H def. Randy Orton
John Cena def. Edge & Big Show (New World Heavyweight Champion)
CM Punk wins Money in the Bank Ladder Match Very Happy
Chris Jericho def. WWE Legends
Matt Hardy def. Jeff Hardy (Extreme Rules Match) Crying or Very sad
Undertaker def. Shawn Michaels Very Happy
Rey Mysterio def. JBL (New Intercontinental Champion)
"Santina" Marella wins 25-Diva Battle Royal for title of "Miss WrestleMania"
WWE Tag Team Champions def. World Tag Team Champions (New Unified Tag Team Champions)

Glad the Undertaker and CM Punk both won but unfortunately Jeff Hardy couldn't do the same against his older brother in a very emotional match. I used to really like Matt but not anymore. Unbelievable what he did.

I would have liked the Big Show to win the Heavyweight championship instead of the wigger John Cena, or Edge the cheater but it was expected I guess. The Rey Mysterio and JBL is the shortest ever in Wrestlemania history lasting only 21 seconds and afterwards JBL said on the microphone to the crowd, "I quit"!?

No worries Bobbi, saw it.

Not surprised by many results, kind of expected Orton to beat Triple H but predictable enough I thought.

I seemed to be the only one who thought it was obvious that Matt was going to win. Jeff needs storylines and Matt winning gives the WWE time to work something out.

Cena had to win that match. He is the WWE at the moment and he can't lose two title matches running.

Before the match started I thought Jeff would win but during the match, even though he was dominating most of it, I started thinking Matt would win somehow and he did. Its a pretty established fact that the person losing at the beginning will probably end up winning it in the end Very Happy And yes it does give them time to work something out.

Its unfair and a bit unrealistic how the Big Show hasn't had more championships to his name. He should have more.
