There was an article recently that broke down what every team got from shirt sponsorships. I can't find it now though. Anyway, Juve was way ahead with a huge deal that brought in a lot of money, but most other teams were getting around 2 million a year...

juve's sponsor is new holland, a group fiat company.
i would define it an industrial sinergy.

On the sponsor front, we record the inclusion of the Groupama company, who work in the field of insurance. The company, which recently absorbed Nuova Tirrena, is already on board at the Olimpico with its brand and could become official sponsor of the club.

President Lotito is trying to quickly close a sponsorship contract for the current season. The latest track leads to a French insurance group: Groupama. Leader of the insurance sector, Groupama has recently absorbed Nuova Tirrena, which previously sponsored the biancoceleste.

The company changed its name in 2006. Until that time it was known as Gan, and was entering the world of sport through some sponsorship in cycling and rugby.

Groupama has already reached an agreement with Lazio to become institutional spnsors of the club (also reached agreements with Udinese, Sampdoria, Atalanta, Palermo and Cagliari) and to place some advertising signs inside the stadium. Now the agreement could enlarge to become the official sponsor of SS Lazio.

Lazio's sponsor from last season was Edileuropa. They had it on there jerseys for about 10 games. Its a construction company in rome. It would be nice if they can get one sponsor and not switch sponsors every few games like some teams do. Cost me a lot of money last season buying home and away jersey with So.Spe on them and home away and 3rd jersey with Edileuropa on them. All had players name and numbers and were match issued.

I wonder what the real rpoblem really is... Estheticaly it is wonderful to not have a sponsor, but I guess a company name on our shirts would help finance the purchase of Zarare Surprised

Exactly, the most important is the economics, we should be able of getting a decent sponsor. By decent I don't mean EDILEUROPA (where did that come from)?

I don't care if it's a phone company, IT guys or erotic film studio - as longs as they can provide the necessary finances..

The shirt does look nice without a sponsor on it but a sponsor is always welcome and needed in my opinion considering Lazio have some debt and can help in finances for the club - and buying players fully like Mauro Zarate! Very Happy

¤ don't agree with everyone saying the shirt looks better without a sponsor, doesn't really look like a football shirt.

Anyway, the most important is that we get a good sponsor and I can't see why it should be so hard for us now..

with the current global economy heading towards melt down, i doubt that Groupama will be throwing any more cash towards their marketing/publicity dep't. I think we can rule them out for anything extra than they have already committed to.

I want a sponsor on our kit just for the financial implications, i cant say however that it would make our kit look better.
right now it looks amazing without a sponsor our kit looks so unique!

Samsung is my first choice i like how it looks on the Chelsea kit.

How much would a reasonable deal be worth? I guess a deal would be worth a few mil, money that we really need. It is actually very strange that we dont have any sponsor on the shirts, more strange no company has been eager to sign us after this brilliant start... I love the sponsor-less shirts, but economically it is not worth it...
