Yep..one of my fav competitions (if not my fav..above football). This is so special !
We won today our first matches against India .. and we lead 2-0. Tomorrow i`ll be at the arena to see the double match Very Happy .. 95% we`re in world group even if we lose that double.

To be honest..i just saw GBR`s matches (since i`m a Murray fan) .. and i must say that Austria is a tough one. Double will make the difference there.

Serbia fought very nice against Slovak Republic .. and they also lead 2-0. Chile (maybe because Hewitt isnt there) destroyed Australia so far.. good for them. I like pretty much Gonzalez also (he has my fav forehand Very Happy).

Swiss had a hard time against Belgium..and not just because Wawrinka fought 5 sets..but because Federer lost some services..but i guess in the end Roger is Roger.

Argentina is having a great time in semis...to be honest i didnt expect for Nalbandian to beat Andreev and i didnt expect that clear win for Potro against Davydenko (even though now Juan is on fire).

And..in my opinion Spain was lucky. Didnt saw much from that..just followed the scores..and Nadal lost a set on CLAY against a fast lover like Querry..and Ferrer won 8-6 in final set against Roddick..just because the fans were there (btw..unreal that arena ..very impressive what spanish did for this match).

So far so good for us Mafalda Very Happy

Fernando González is for now.
He is 11th now got silver medal in Olympics Games (lost with the monster:Nadal Very Happy ), in Athenas he got bronze and gold in doubles.
This team: Goznález and Nicolás Massú, is the best ever.
They are 2 times World champion, and Massú also got gold medal in Athenas.
Now is 110th or so, but in Davis Cup both are monster.

The final of the Davis Cup in November I think is Spain vs Argentina after they beat the US and Russia respectively.... should be a good match with both countries having very good players and clay specialists!

Starting with next year season..wins in Davis Cup will bring atp points as well. Should be interesting Very Happy

For this year final..i think Spain will win without a problem (3-2 or 4-1). Probably Del Potro will bring hell to Ferrer ..and as well double one is interesting. All in all..i don`t think that Argentina has a chance.

Today the 2009 world group has been set.

Argentina - Holland

France - Czech

Usa - Switzerland

Croatia - Chile

Israel - Sweeden

Austria - Germany

Serbia - Spain

Romania - Russia

Kind of..even though Croatia is not what they were 2-3 years ago. We played them at their home 3 years ago ..and you can`t play there ..the fans are monsters. Worse tennis public i`ve ever seen..
