Has anyone got good, potential replacer to Ledesma`? I think he has shown this season (so far) that he has no passion playing for us, despite having the honour to be captain. Assuming we would not change tactics, what potential players are out there???

Miguel Veloso from Sporting Lisbon.I know its not really realistic signing for us considering that he has very high buyout clause.

I always thought that Veloso is a pure Defensive midfielder, like Almeyda. (Maybe because few times I saw him playing as a CB). I think Moutinho would be more suitable player to replace Ledesma. But I doubt he would want to come to Lazio. Another option could be Enzo Maresca. Although he isn't so young, he could replace Ledesma properly (IMO, Maresca is under-rated player)

Maresca would be a brilliant replacement.. however, i doubt sevilla will let him go, anyway if they want to sell him the price wouldn't be that cheap.. and i think his wage can't be cheap either...

well if i'm not mistaken, sevilla wanted ledesma for 24 million euro two seasons ago, what if we offer them ledesma and we get 7-10 million euro + maresca in exchange, that would be a dream signing

Yeah I agree that Moutinho would be better choice for playmaker. The bad news is that neither him or Miguel are realistic options for us.

I say all players that express the desire to leave this beautyful club don't even deserve to train on it's holy field. For me it's a blasphemy to field ledesma and make him captain, if he wants to leave then cioa ciao, hope he you get blisters up the ass from warming juventus bench

Maresca from Sevilla is an interesting one.... how much is he currently playing at the club? Probably a regular starter, if he isn't a regular starter it would probably be easier to tempt him to leave for Lazio. Also he is Italian and maybe misses Italian football? Don't know how his wages stack up against a possible Lotito offer though?

What about Delgado from Besiktas? Lazio have apparently been tracking this guy and from what I have heard, he's is a player for the future, already captain at his club and something like 25 years old I think.

Delgado seems interesting from what little I can judge from youtube but do we need another player with his characteristics? He's a second striker or he can play as a trequartista or maybe just as an offensive midfielder. We have players similar to that like Pandev, Foggia, Mauri, Meghni, Zarate. If Lotito does decide to get him, it would seem that he would be a replacement for Pandev. And that actually brings out another concern and that's the possibility that Lotito will keep one of Zarate or Pandev. Pandev repeated many times that signing a new contract is not a priority. My impression is that he is well aware that in a years time he will be on a salary 8 times the one he has at Lazio so he's not in a hurry and by selling Pandev Lotito will get the funds to buy Zarate.

If I could suggest one player to replace Ledesma, that would be Jeremy Toulalan of Lyon, a defensive midfielder, has the same type as Ledesma, realistic option? Twisted Evil

Realistic ? Are you crazy mate ? Suspect Toulalan is a great player and a key one in Lyon and I'm sure he would never leave the French champion to come and play for Lazio ...

I suggest we get xabi alonso on loan with an option to buy. Perfect replacement for ledesma. The downsides are high salary and he's spanish. Spanish suck in Serie A. Wink

Lotito needs to swallow his pride and convince Ledesma to stay. Meanwhile we need to bring talents who can take his place in 3 - 4years.

What if this time it is not Lotito and Ledesma himself who wants to leave? You talk about Ledesma like he is some kind of Almeyda
but he is not.

Ok, Ledesma is not bad, actually he is very good for beeing defensive midfielder and knows how to pass the ball. But IMO he is very very unbalanced and a little overrated.
This team would do without him already as we have natural trequartistas, and natural bulldozers infront of the defence. Ledesma is defensive midfielder who is handed the trequartista role. I can never understand why. If we could cash in on Ledesma and bring other qualities I would not be sad.

Ledesma never plays trequartista, he is supposed to be a deep playmaker such as Pirlo but often gets caught up defending too much. It's a difficult job because our defense if quite weak so our midfielders have to work harder and are less available for attack. I think that's why Ledesma is sufferring.

Players come and go.. Lazio stays..

we lost a lot of players 100 times better than Ledesma and we survived..

Valdivia of Chile is my option.. If we attack well, we dont need to play with the formation that Rossi is using the same again and again..

Valdivia is an attacking midfielder and an amazing play maker who gives space to players like Rocchi, Zarate, and Pandev to shine..

That way, the oppostion would be forced to play with deeper Defensive Midfielders and we can use only 2 defensive midfilders..

Dabo is great, Mudy should have stayed.. Matuzalem is excellent, and Augusto Fernandez our target from Last summer comes in.

Valdivia cost AL-AIN from UAE 8 million from Palmerias in Brazil

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI0wRvtb5lY

watch the vid of the guy.. we need new style of play with the players we have.. 3 Defensive Midfielders is costing us goals.. we need more attacking options to win 4 and 5 zero against smaller teams

After the Juve game I have to say that Ledesma is a keeper - if it´s possible.

had his strongest game this season against juve. He has become better and better this season and at the moment he is doing great after a shaky start to the campaign. He is probably the on eplayer that is hardest for us to replace in our team this season and therefore Lotito must decide how to solve the situation with his contract...as soon as possible...
