Yes he is.
After last match , Genoa, he declared that he did not appreciated Rossi decision and he is alwasy ready for the Team.

Is quite controversial that a player declares officialy : i don't like but i am ready for....
I would like to invite Mr Tommaso to understand that in this team he have the opportunity to play a lot and i don't think that is so important if the Mr selections are done match by match.,
We are travelling through a difficult period and in this moment we neet only a compact team !
Rossi is also a controversial Mr. but he is paid for it and Rocchi is paid to be a player.

I agree this time with our captain.

Delio Rossi has become a very strange person lately, he does not have clear ideas due to the increase of quality in the team.

He is feeling pressure, and under pressure you make mistakes.

This time Rocchi should have started and Pandev benched.

Why: because Rocchi was available all week while Pandev was with his NT and was more tired.

I totally disagree with Rochi. You get your salary you do your job!

It's not likely that Rossi has mental problems that make him act in a destructive way.

This season alot of new faces arrived and yet we are playing as a team. What makes this more impressive is that Rossi isn't allowed to handpick players - it's like someone is telling you to make a world class dinner but not giving you the ingredience until after the dinner is served.

Genoa who bought players for 50mil euros aren't saying a word about Lo Scudetto.

We borrowed Zarate and it's not at all certain he will join us. We borrowed Matuzalem and so far it has been a terrific move. We have no new contracts with Pandev and Ledesma.

None of these problems are apparent since we are only 1 point behind Juve in third having played almost all the top clubs.

The best team to compare with is Palermo and their budget is still twice the size of ours.

Forza Rossi!!

He is our captain dammit. No matter what he should be an example for his teammates. I'm very disappointed of him. Plus he competes now with Zarate and Pandev not Makingwa and he is 31 so he better think twice before make something stupid like this again. No

Rocchi thinks that he derservs too play from the start and that's true.
Right now he is better then Pandev, so let hime play.
I know that ZA-PA-FO has been playing whit eachother more but the thing Rocchi do makes me more calm.
Let hime play, he is our Capitano, we need too trust him.

I trust Mr Rossi but sometimes I think, wtf is going on here.

When was the last time Rossi had clear ideas Amir?? Last year it was because our lack of depth, now we have mroe quality and it doesn't seem we are going to do better anyway...

That said, Rocchi needs to zip his mouth and do his job, train and play when he's called...

Rocchi should have started as he is the in-form striker but i HATE when players moan to the media!

My advice Tommaso, suck it up, cash in your paycheck and get yourself ready for next week. Simple.

It doesn't look that bad, at least according to channel 4's translation. Rocchi is just saying he was disappointed not to start and he also says he respects the coach's choices. Of course, the latter could be a lie but all could just be Rocchi being honest. I'd rather have him say he would loved to have stated than lie in an obvious fashion about how happy he is that he played at all.

Complaining to media maybe not the best way to get started for a team. Strange coming from a Captain, that before this gave the image of beeing one of the most loyal personalities from this team.
Though, why is it he can not go and talk to Mr Rossi in privacy, if having something to say? Appearently he does.
After all, he was chosen to captain the team.
Do I sence bad communication?

A player of Rocchi´s status has to be disappointed when not called up as a starter. Otherwise something is really wrong. I would have been more worried if he had not mentioned anything.

The question is how it´s being said, and we can only guess about that. I doubt anything serious has happened though.

The thing is also, that we have four quality players competing for three spots in the starting line-up. A player like Tommaso Rocchi, who has been around, also during the time when he was a sure starter and close to the only quality player we had in the offense, (not counting Pandev in the days when he was still a young and inexperienced talent) has to get used to the competition that is a natural part of playing in any big club like Lazio. I´m sure Rocchi, as the good professional he is, also is ready for that.

Everything being said, it was a wrong decision by Rossi not to field Rocchi from the start though.

Hey you all missed the point here. It is not about that Rossi don't bring Rocchi in the first 11, is about Rocchi attitude towards the choach. Finally it's up to Rossi does he want to put Rocchi or not. But the way Rocchi reacted is not even close as captain should react.

Aaaaah the beauty of hindsight.
Rossi needed to decide which player to field and he went for a compromise, a half for both. Pandev was constantly fouled and could not have any impact on the game. Rocchi missed the single clear cut chance of the match, he could have shot the ball anywhere he wanted but he fell and hit the ball weak.
So instead of complaining about the coach's decisions maybe he should focus on his goalscoring skills, and working on his fitness to avoid a recurrence of his injury.

Lotito has no sympathy for Rocchi Monday 24 November, 2008

Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has taken an uncompromising view on striker Tommaso Rocchi's discontent.

Rocchi, who was almost ever-present last term, has been relegated to the bench in recent weeks due to the success of summer signing Mauro Zarate.

The Venetian hitman admitted his disappointment after yesterday's draw with Genoa, but he has garnered little sympathy with Lotito.

“It doesn't matter to me if Rocchi has officially complained,” he barked.

“The Coach picks the team and Delio Rossi has the greatest respect from the directors.

“Rossi takes into account the technical needs of every player and all the players have to adapt to the formation.

“Some individuals may not share the belief in his choices, but all they have to do is give their best on the pitch.”

Pandev was a ghost in the derby and he wass off to international duty. Rocchi should started, cuz Pandev is cearly out of form. But who am I to judge Rossis decisions? He keeps playing with Mauri no matter what, even if Foggia showed more skills in the game against Genova than mauri wasn't able to showe these in two years time now. At least Mr Rossi come to reallity and don't play Manfredinho anymore (even that I'm aware that is only becouse of his injury) and Makinwa and started to give chances to S.Inzaghi.

I can say just one thing, No body has forgot the history mr Lotito.

Rocchi don't like Lotito, and I think that's the reason Lotito talks like that, Please Vattane 7 days a week.

Many around here seems to forget what Rocchi did for us (mainly..he kept in serie a last season). Now..Rossi is the coach ?? Rocchi should shut up ?? HAHAHAHAHA ... OH MY GOD !!!! Human race..what can you expect ?
After reading what Lotito said..it`s obvious that "Lotito`s heart and brain" are here also. So good luck for those who insulted our captain...you are the same as Lotito.

In a way it's quite good to hear Rocchi upset and angry that he has not been selected in the starting XI. It shows that he cares and wants to play, he's not just happy to take his salary for doing very little.

But as captain of Lazio he should set an example to other players by respecting the coach's decision.

FORZA ROCCHI

We have more than an adequate sub for Rocchi, while Mauri can be replaced by Meghni(not fully fit), Manfre(injured), Foggia(too attacking) and perhaps Kolarov or Radu but it hasn't been tried out yet.

Rocchi lost his place because of his injury, in which time Zarate scored 7 and Pandev 5. And although this is a thread about Rocchi again you psuh your agenda with Mauri and so on.
