HSV - Leverkusen 3:2
Again, Hsv turned a game (from 0:2 into 3:2)

Hoffenheim - Stuttgart 0:0
Mediocre match, Lehman saves a point for Stuttgart

Köln - Bayern 0:3
Average Bayern defeating weak Kölner, Luca Toni strikes twice

Hertha - Wolfsburg 2:2
Hertha gave the victory away

Bremen - Cottbus 3:0
3 goals within 8 minutes at the end of the 2nd half

Dortmund - Schalke 3:3
Incredible match. Schalke gave a 3:0 lead away.
Incredible also the performance of the referee.
2 wrong decisions (offside goal, doubtful penalty) and 2 sent off Schalker
made Dortmunder happy

Eintracht Frankfurt - Karlsruher SC ---
Madonna fans ruined the green during a concert in the stadium...

Leverkusen and Schalke must be very annoyed with giving the match away considering they were up by 2 and 3 goals respectively but well done to HSV and Dortmund.... I always liked Dortmund for some reason.... sucks that Stuttgart drew but overall an interesting weekend of Bundesliga action!

A wild derby!
Though the linesman might have made few erros, S04 can only blame themselves for the sent offs and not keeping the lead.
This will increase the tensity of the return leg in the winter at Schalke.

Poldi showed his RED undershirt when he came on and showed respect to the Cologne fans after he scored vs. Roony bashing the Everton fans when he visited them for the first time.

Anyway, it kind of shows that most of the Bauern players have their hearts elsewhere.

I did not see any games but I read that Bremen played an great game and should have even added more to the score line. Did they completely outplay Bayern or no? A very good win for Leverkusen too!

I watched the match on Saturday, I had more fun watching Klinsi Embarassed next to a Suspect Uli Höneß!

Stuttgart lost Crying or Very sad

The Werder vs Hoffenheim game sounds like it was an entertaining affair - especially if you are a neutral.

This is what I love about the Bundesliga - always alot of goals scored and entertaining football! Awesome!!!!

Arminia Bielefeld - Karlsruher SC 1:2
No comment

Bayern München - VfL Bochum 3:3
Klinsmann stikes again. Bayern leading 3-1,
best man Ze Roberto off, Bochum stronger
6 feet unskilled Dabrowski easily walked through the middle
no defender around, passed easily Rensing 3-2.
After a cross the ball (or should I say u.f.o.? at
least it is one for Rensing) Grote scores, Oddo too late.
I assume Wurst Uli may/will sign a new keeper soon
if Rensing continues like this. If it would be the summer
break a keeper like Frey or Amelia would join the squad,
but as it is the winter break it might be Timo Hildebrand who´s
gotta sit on the stand in Valencia.

VfB Stuttgart - Werder Bremen 4:1

Werder now with the worst defence of the league

Bayer Leverkusen - Hertha BSC 0:1
Leverkusen superior, really...
They missed so many chances...
Voronin strikes one minute before the whistle

Borussia M'gladbach - 1. FC Köln 1:2
cologne wins the Derby, Luhukay fired yesterday!

1899 Hoffenheim - Eintracht Frankfurt 2:1
Hoffenheim still up there.

FC Schalke 04 - VfL Wolfsburg 2:2
Kuranyi scores twice, last goal provided by Neuer

Borussia Dortmund - Hannover 96 1:1
BvB with a good match

Energie Cottbus - Hamburger SV 1:2
Hamburg now on top.

As usual great review Hendrik!

Bauern
I think Bauern lacks a "Kahn" as a charismatic leader and of course as a GK who is still few level higher than Rensing.
I wonder though if Klinnsie can survive until next transfer window opens...my suggestion sign a free agent like Kahn or Ballotta! Wink

S04
I am sure Rutten will become a great coach soon, but I guess Deutsches Buli is still a bigger liga than Erevidisie therefore time is needed.
Die Knappen has a tough UEFA group....

Thanks man :)

VfL Bochum - Borussia M'gladbach 2:2
First points for Gladbach since matchday 3.
Coach fired last weekend

Werder Bremen - Borussia Dortmund 3:3
Incredible. Dortmund leading 2-1 till 88´
then Pizarro strikes twice 88´+91´.
WB seemed to be the winner but after a
blunder of Tim Wiese M. Zidan equalised.

VfL Wolfsburg - Arminia Bielefeld 4:1
As usual. Shitty away peformance but
nevertheless a convincing match from WOB

Hannover 96 - 1899 Hoffenheim 2:5
After a 0-1 lead for TSG 96er turned the game into 2-1.
The turning point: Minute 67´Salihovic came in
and TSG got a real boost. They shot 4 goals in 12 minutes.
Credits to F. Fromlowitz (the replacement for injured R. Enke)
who made an unbelievable worse match.

Eintracht Frankfurt - Bayer Leverkusen 0:2
Leverkusen still in touch with the top of the table.
Time is running out for Mr. Funkel

Hertha BSC - VfB Stuttgart 2:1
Stuttgart better than Hertha, but the alte Dame more efficient

Karlsruher SC - Bayern München 0:1
Again, FCB disappointing, Klose scored 4 minutes before the
final whistle, credits to Massimo Oddo.

1. FC Köln - Energie Cottbus 1:0
Kölner missed many many chances, Cottbus yet relegated?

Hamburger SV - FC Schalke 04 1:1
Good match in the first half but the drawn is not enough for HSV, it is
not enough for S04

HSV-S04 1:1

Engelaar made some terrible mistakes and hasn't been impressive so far in all the matches he played for S04.
I have doubts he will be adjusted to the Buli very soon.

This match promises lots of goals...

Energie Cottbus - Eintracht Frankfurt
Not gegen Elend?

1st win for Hans Meyer?

Just wondering how is Massimo Oddo doing with Bayern so far? Is he a regular first XI player?

I read a report where he says he is enjoying it in the Bundesliga and does not miss Italian football.

Yes, he´s a regular first 11 player and is (imo) doing good. He provided 2 goals in 5 matches and one
in the DFB Pokal vs. Nürnberg

True. The whole atmosphere in the league is much more peaceful than in Serie A, fans of different
teams travelling together, drinking beer together, etc. pp.

He is doing alright as Hendrick said, but he couldn't been worse against Wolfsburg few days ago. So bad he was subbed during half time.

Nachholspiele vom 4. Spieltag:
Mi 22.10. 18:30 Eintracht Frankfurt - Karlsruher SC 2:1 (0:0)

Now let's see what went on over the weekend.....

Die Spiele der Bundesliga 2008/2009 am 9. Spieltag

Derby? Might be but ain't close to rivalry.

Sa 25.10. 15:30 FC Bayern München - VfL Wolfsburg 4:2 (1:2)
Barzagli in a recent interview said that he was suprised of the Buli's quality is higher than Serie A. Well part of it could be true, but Serie A improved by off loading an overrated central defender from U.S. Palermo. Woof woof~ tongue

Sa 25.10. 15:30 FC Schalke 04 - Arminia Bielefeld 0:0 (0:0)
Arminia's GK Eilhoff was great and so were the defense. I was just glad for S04 that Höwedes got a chance to play. Thtäs all!

Sa 25.10. 15:30 Hannover 96 - SV Werder Bremen 1:1 (1:1)
Werder lol!

Sa 25.10. 15:30 FC Energie Cottbus - Eintracht Frankfurt 2:3 (2:1)
Sa 25.10. 15:30 Borussia M'gladbach - Karlsruher SC 1:0 (0:0)
gestern 17:00 VfB Stuttgart - VfL Bochum 2:0 (0:0)
gestern 17:00 Borussia Dortmund - Hertha BSC Berlin 1:1 (0:1)

gestern 17:00 1899 Hoffenheim - Hamburger SV 3:0 (3:0)
affraid Ho ho hoffenheim! What an exciting attacks over and over again by TSG! Whatever people have their opion about Dietmar Hopp on his footy club, I give the most credit to Ralf Rangnick and his players.

This Hoffenheim saga is truly amazing. Trashed HSV yesterday and are a good team. I am not really a follower of Bundesliga, but recently I have been catching a game or two and I think a pretty entertaining game is carried out in the German league.

However, I wonder what people in general thik about Hoffenheim (in Germany...). Is the team welcomed as a new force, or is everyone hating them only because they have this filthy rich guy running the club..?

The last one, no doubt.
I´m surprised how much people hate Hopp.
It went too far, when fans offended Hopp with
insulting chants and Banners with his face, a crosshair
and "Hasta la vista, Hopp" on it.

Many fans fear the fall of the western world and traditions as rich
guys like Hopp,Abramowitsch,... appear one the screen.
