We started season like a dream but after Lecce match, our nightmare period started and during that time rossi couldnt manage team.
We played the same tactic and other teams solved us. We lost unacceptable games ( cagliari, samdoria, etc. ) Rossi has just understand importance of Foggia for Lazio. And many lineup mistakes during season. I think even if we get uefa or even CL spot, he should go. I hope he can take us where we want but, we need a better coach for future.

Mexico axe Eriksson Thursday 2 April, 2009

Former Lazio Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has been sacked from his post with the Mexican national side.

Things hadn't been going well for Eriksson for a while and a 3-1 defeat to Honduras in a World Cup 2010 qualifier on Wednesday was the final straw, leaving El Tri fourth in their group.

If Mexico stay in fourth place they will have to face the fifth-placed South American team in a play-off for a place in South Africa.

“We couldn't take any risks with World Cup qualification at stake and we couldn't rely on just getting results at the Azteca Stadium,” Mexican Football Federation chief Justino Compean explained.

"We had a meeting with Mr Eriksson and - although it is a shame for me and a lot of people - we told him that his spell with the national team was over. I want to thank him for all he has done.”

Eriksson won the Coppa Italia, European Cup Winners' Cup and Scudetto at Lazio and has also been in charge of Fiorentina and Roma during a career of ups and downs.

Was talking about this with a friend of mine. I think it is unrealistic as he would cost faaaaar too much for us. Also, he didnt really leave us in style...

Probably he will end up in England again. Maybe replacing Hughes pirat

Mazzarri linked with Lazio Monday 6 April, 2009

Sampdoria Coach Walter Mazzarri is being linked with a move to Lazio this summer, as Claudio Lotito loses patience with Delio Rossi.

Lotito publicly expressed his anger at the way the Biancocelesti are performing this morning and threatened not to pay the players' wages.

Lazio started the season in excellent fashion, scoring lots of goals and winning three of their first four games.

Since then, though, they have slumped, falling to ninth in the table after a run of three straight defeats, the most recent coming against Siena on Sunday.

The Italian Press are now “99 per cent” certain Lotito has chosen Mazzarri to replace Delio Rossi at the end of the season.

Mazzarri is widely regarded as one of the brightest minds in Italian football after helping Reggina survive despite an 11-point penalty in 2007.

He has been at Sampdoria since the start of last season and led them into Europe at the first attempt. The Blucerchiati are also in the semi-finals of this year's Coppa Italia.

Tempting Mazzarri away from Sampdoria will be difficult, though, as he still has one year to run on his contract there.

The 47-year-old is also believed to want reassurances that key players like Goran Pandev and Cristian Ledesma will still be at Lazio next season.

Both players have been linked with moves away from Lazio this summer and are still busy negotiating new contracts with the Biancocelesti.

http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/apr6i.html

I would be pleased if we got Mazzarri. I think he is a class coach.

even if Rossi wins 8 out of 8 Serie A games and Coppa Italia he should leave... he proved this season he can`t handle the pressure and he is out of ideas. he`s a decent coach but it`s a shame to play like this with our current roster

He will never win 8 of 8. And i really hope we can beat Juve.
Rossi has done a perfect job so far. He has chewed 1200 tons of gum 3 years in time. Stimorol and Orbit gummy comp. have made 300 millions of profit from it. What an amazing guy.
He has also made a champion from men like Mauri. And he has found maybe the most talented midfielder in the whole world........All you think its Foggia but youre wrong....its Manfredini.
Please stay with us... even if you have contract from Manchester, Chelsea Madrid knocking on youre door. We need youre clever tactiks and perfect line-ups with superb motivation to the players. Youre so smart in tactics that even a 5 year old little boy can beat you in it. Fucking loser.
You know exactly that Lotito hasnt got the money to change the coach RIGHT NOW....but you still dont resign.....this cant just be......

ROSSI HAS TO FUCK OFF WHATEVER THE RESULT IN THE DERBY OR COPPA ITALIA. IT'S ENOUGH!

Mancini or Simeone as next coach. Any other choice will be again regarded as a "Rossi-like choice" - that is, it will lead to a failure. Mazzari is slightly better than Rossi, but still not a Lazio class.

Lotito vattene, for being interested in Mazzari, rather than GOOD coaches like Eriksson, Mancini or Simeone.

WTF has Mazzari ever won in his life? Maybe 5$ in Bwin. Stupid, vey stupid Lotito...

Are you serious? How about keeping Reggina in Serie A with that 11 point penalty!

Mazzarri is a class manager, you obviously haven't paid much attention to him, I'd take him any day over Eriksson or money bags Mancio. Simeone I would consider but is a much bigger risk than Mazzarri.

I like the Cagliari coach Massimo Allegri (?) he has done unbelievably well this season. Respect. I read this is his first season as a Serie A coach. I don't know if he could step up so well at a bigger club like Lazio but just a thought.

I like Mazzarri. A classy coach who gets the most out of his players.

Mancini and Eriksson are both very good coaches but would demand a fairly large sum and I doubt either would return. I don't want Mancio here anyway. Eriksson would be good but quite unrealistic.

Mihajlovic is perhaps more for the future, as is Simeone but with Diego, although inexperienced in Italian coaching, has a personality that I believe would get the most out of players, motivate them and bring back some much needed spirit and passion. He looks like a tough guy who demands respect and takes no bullshite. That's what we need now.

I remember the Siena coach (Giampaolo) was linked with the coaching job here a few months ago as was Acori.

First lets wait until the season finishes so that Rossi's situation is evaluated and Lotito decides where to from here.

No matter how much you maybe hates Rossi, then I won't hear anybody pray for at defeat against merda!

We HAS to win the match and only a win is acceptable.. If we loose this derby again (0-1 last time) then I hope that IRR will do like back in 2002 (1-5).. They (merda) has to know that Lazio owns Rome!

I hope you agree!

Lazio hasn't been owning Rome for many years for now. No need to lie to ourselves - Roma is better and classier than Lazio for already 4-5 years.

No tragedy will happen if Lazio don't beat Roma...after all, our coach is this drug addict:

If we are to develop and be a part of the few teams fighting for top spots in the future, we need a coach with experience - but also one that dares to test our youngsters and develop them to first class players...We need the young players we have to become top class, because we can never buy top class players and create a strong team in that way, as the other top teams can.

Roma classier than Lazio? Have you ever watched the diving, whiny, dirty, spitting bastards. Not even to mention their fans.

If losing the derby meant Rossi would be fired I still would NOT take it. For us there are usually only 2 games a season. This is one of them.

As we lost the first derby this season, the only only only thing that can even make this season to not be considered the worst in quite a few seasons is a win on Saturday. The lousy run in the league, the position after such a promising start, the problems in the squad regarding passion and the fact the twat president has not sorted any contract out - all of it will be a million times heavier if we dont win the game this weekend.

Whatever he meant is derived from a sick obsession to diminish all the good and exaggerate all the bad that has been going on with Lazio and identify Delio Rossi as a scapegoat which has become boring months ago and calling merda "classier" 4 days before the derby has no excuse.
Where was the class when we beat them 3-1, 3-2, 3-0, where was the class when they were demolished 7-1 and brought shame to entire Italy...

Some people will resort to just anything to push their agenda... If Rossi goes people should at least give him credit where it's due even if this season did not go according to whichever plans fans had in mind

U know whats going to be sad is that the players will fight very hard to win,
and I have a feeling that they will.
If they do my next question will be why dont they play hard or with passion against
teams like chievo, catania and siena. Why r this games less important.

do you guys know what's di canio doing now ? i think it would be nice if we take him as our coach . he is laziale , and also he is a good motivator to our young squad . our squad will respect him and also obey him , he has the charisma . but the only thing is , he is inexperience . but who knows ,,

Its been like this for many seasons now mate, and I too have thought about the same thing. Its not just this group of players however. Perhaps a majority of the players don't really care about Lazio? Only here for the money? I would hate to think of such though.

I think something which needs to be done over the summer is Lotito try and get some Laziale to come here. That will surely affect the team and passion. Also play the fucking Primavera players more.

Right now there is only De Silvestri who is a 'real' Laziale. Firmani too but he is out on loan. Rocchi I feel is becoming one but I guess its not the same. Foggia shows he cares about Lazio and wants to be here, we need that.

Bring back players who will give it their all and show the true love and commitment towards Lazio.... players like Pinzi, Portanova and Di Vaio will inject the heart with some much needed Biancocelesti blood! cheers

Portanova would do so much for the team mentally, it's ridiculous. He's affordable too.

We don't necessarily need laziali, we need players who have something to prove in the shirt.

For me, the nucleus should be Muslera, Radu, Kolarov, Cribari, Lichtsteiner, De Silvestri, Ledesma, Foggia, Meghni, Dabo, Brocchi, Firmani, Del Nero, Inzaghi, Pandev, Rocchi, Zarate. I feel these are the guys who care, who will play out of their depth with the right motivation. Some of these can be sold because the quality isn't there but they're all squad members who give something a little extra.

As you'll notice, there are certain areas absent of passion and defence and midfield stand out. So Pinzi and Portanova would be perfect as back up to the first team. The other key would be to sell those who don't give their all and reinforce with players who would have something to prove. Quality and passion are the perfect combination and when the quality is absent, the passion has to pull us through. I feel we have a passionate squad but a squad without the motivation to push themselves a few steps forward. A change of coach might help, smart signings might help, sensible talk from the President might help. The difference between 4th/5th and 11th/12th is minimal. Guts can take us places.
