Actually Soros wanted to buy roma a year ago and some rich dude bought man city just the other day or month ago. I think that there are people who see football as a fun passing of time and at the right price would buy Lazio.

Why on earth would you want some rich twat to buy the club for a bit of fun? What when he gets bored? Leaves us and kills the club? Watch the Premiership in 10 years and see what happens once Abramovich and Gillet etc are bored.

Hello Nostradamus !! Looks like someone knows that Abramovic will get bored .. so Chelsea fans should do something quickly. This is too funny..

What do you expect them to say? Like Del Nero giving a press-conference saying "Lotito can go and fuck himself, I'm not going to play more than 1 match a season". Very Happy

It's not about getting bored, it's about passion, love, and first of all, LAZIALITA'! The only person at the moment to replace Lotito is Cragnotti.
Zoff is a good option, but he's lacking the golden touch.
FORZA CRAN!!!

P.S. Abramovich will never get bored of Chelsea. You can tell he loves football, and furthermore, he's washing money through Chelsea. No way Abramovich will ever give up on Chelsea.
Perhaps the same way works for the Thai who took over Liverpool.
Whereas the Arab sheikh at Man City simply wanted to have fun...dunno how long this will take. :)

I think Lotito is right here.

As long as someone is paying you a salary, you should honor it for God`s sake.

Lotito is realistic: he does not say that he wants his team to beat Inter, MIlan or Barcelona...he mentioned Chievo, Catania, teams
that this Lazio should beat with ease.

I am in support of drastic changes, but only if they start from Delio Rossi.

Ofcourse may not happen, but if it does they're screwed. Anyway there are already rumours that he is looking to sell.

Back to topic, it will be very interesting to see whether our players will respond well to a furore from Claudius, it will be a true test of character.

I think this statement might lead to what we all fear (and maybe even expect). A new Lazio next year with the influential players wearing other shirts.
The other option is that the guys start performing and Lotito can take all the props for how HE got the team going....

Cash highlights what I´ve been saying alot lately. This man (Lotito) is amazing in the sense that he doesn´t take responsibility for his own mistakes. I firmly belive that everything started going badly the minute he deicided not to invest in the squad ahead of the CL - and of course that wasn´t a decision but rather just a reminder of the fact that he doesn´t have the means to run a club like Lazio.

Lotito if you are passionate about football then go and buy a small team that plays in division 4 or something.

i agree with you guys . im afraid , lotito's statement might lead our stars playing for other team next season No lotito doesnt take responsibility for his own mistakes ! he didnt make any worthed invesment when we played in CL years ago . other example , 2 months ago , on the transfer window 2 , we really need a good CB and maybe midfielder , but , he didnt buy any player for our team . i remember , at that time , he wants to buy zeljko kalac from milan , that was insane .. we play like this , is also because of you mr president . if our stars not playing for our team next season because of you , i think you should go for our beloved lazio !

I am glad Lotito said that. Maybe not in the best way possible, but glad he stepped up and showed his fury and anger at how the players this season have been on and off not respecting him nor Lazio. Fair call and one which definitely needed to be made. In fact I wish he had said it earlier. Well done Presidente!

FORZA CLAUDIO!!!!

The only thing I did not like is how he showed no respect towards Chievo and Catania when making that statement!

A good one Claudius. I was waiting for this for a long time now. I really don't understand you guys who said that star players will leave becouse of this? Why? Are they such a primadonnas that they can't take one heavy critic when they deserve this? Sir Alex have these kind of outbrust and you don't see Man U not giving a damn on the field. The players think they can behave like they wanna do, no no no. Claudius is the main boss and he had to do this. Even if he is no saint either, he need to look what he has done that we ended up in this situation.

That's not what we meant, we are hoping that Lotito doesn't use this as an excuse not to renew with Pandev, Zarate etc. Maybe he plans to sell Pandev and never intended to pay the asking price for Zarate so now by saying that everyone is under scrutiny then it's almost like he is bracing us for the sale of some stars. He can cover his ass and justify that by having a poor season (even though it's these players who have been the glimmer of light). I'm just speculating, I hope this is isn't the case.

Yeah, that's one possibility. The timing of this is all wrong, there is a reason behind this.

The most likely theory though is that he is trying to send a hidden message to the tifosi that Rossi's contract will not be renewed and that he won't offer Pandev and Ledesma salaries above the cap. Don't forget, Pandev and Ledesma are favourites of Rossi but it is the likes of Zarate and Foggia who Lotito favours.

I think Lotito has been spot on with the coaching dilemma thus far and at the minute, Rossi has to go at the end of the season. There is time for this to change but remember, Rossi seemed to want rid of Stendardo, Foggia and Zauri and technically, they are still employed by the club. Now, I firmly believe that is Claudio being clever and realising that they may well be integral members of our future squad.

I don't think it's any coincidence that the likes of Stendardo, Scaloni and Bonetto have expressed an interest to return. My two cents says Lotito has been in contact with them and told them they may have a future.

For those reasons, I think Rossi, Ledesma, Pandev and perhaps even Rocchi could be in line for the chop.

wow... what a speculation...

I personally think that Lotito's "tsunami" act rising simply because of the players bad form and lack of passion lately.... Trying to get rid of 3 our best players for the latest 4 (or more?) years??.... that would be too far.... a very very far speculation...

Well, you can call Lotito as a stupid or moron president... but he is not an idiot at all... he's a businessman btw, so if he wants to release Ledesma or Pandev, he would have extended their contracts in a second without considering the amount of the wages. Whatever the amount of the salary is, it doesn't matter because he wants to release them. So in this case, what should be important for him is he shouldn't take a risk to lose the big amount of their transfer fee...

On the contrary, what's happening right now is he's trying to limit their wages as low as possible, that's why the agreement taking a lot of time than it supposed to... so I assume that he's trying to make their wages as low as possible because he wants Lazio's financial not to be burdened by the high wages of the players which going to play for more years in Lazio...

Thus, I don't think we should be worried about Pandev and/or Ledesma going somewhere right now.... but maybe we should be worried about that matters if suddenly their contracts are extended with the amount way above the salary cap, it should be a strange decision for the "scrooge" Lotito

What's to say then if Pandev and Ledesma get bumper deals way above the salary cap and they decide to stay because a) they are settled in Rome and b) other teams might not offer better contracts. That would backfire on Lotito if that was the case. I think if Lotito is going to sell them he will anyway without the new contracts because they both enough time left as to not jeopordise the selling price.

I think we are all getting a little carried away Very Happy I bet Lotito makes all these statements then goes surfing across all the message boards for a laugh to see what we all get paranoid about!

Pandev and Ledesma may not get chopped but there's no point in extending their contracts now if a new manager comes in and doesn't see them as part of the plan.

Whether Cristian and Goran stay is in their hands, not Lotito's and if they leave, Claudio would get the blame. So why not make up excuses?

There is no hidden message in Lotito statements. Lotito to sell Pandev and Ledesma no fucking way and you say that this is only to sell them. By thrashing them in front of the media makes the price of all smaller so its logical if you want to sell someone to make some dust around him and to point out that he is the best.

This is only to say to the squad that we shouldn't play like this without spirit NOT when we are all expecting something for the derby. And the second reason is that maybe Lotito can't live without Europe cup finances and he was counting for money before the start of the season.

I agree.

There is no hidden message.

There is only a will to justify another failed mercato and selling of star players like Pandev and Ledesma.

Lotito is a cancer eating up the Lazio body.
