The Future Is Now

After lifting their fifth Coppa Italia, Lazio not only crowned a successful finish to what has been a season full of ups and downs, they more importantly secured a place back in Europe for the coming season. Claudio Lotito’s side are now set for an August 8 Supercoppa Italiana showdown in Beijing against the almost certain Italian league champions Inter.

With the weight of a season bearing down on the result of the final, Lazio ensured a place in the Europa League, which could prove vital in ensuring the likes of Cristian Ledesma and Goran Pandev sign new contracts to tie them to the club for the long haul. Should Lotito manage to retain his biggest assets and bring in some reinforcements over the summer, it could well signal the start of another bright period for the Biancocelesti.

With the balance of power starting to shift within the walls of the Eternal City, it now looks as if Rome’s first club is set to take centre stage once again, as they look to fly the flag in Europe.

That's an extract from that article on goal.com no?

I fully agree, we are going towards financial stability, we have a talented young squad it will not take much for us to become a reputable team in Europe and a top 6 team in Italy again.

I am so friggin' excited at the prospect of this team. The thing to remember when so many people are disappointed by our results and lack of consistancy is that our team is very young. Inconsistency is a result of inexperience. In a few years they are going to be superb. I'm amazed we now have players like Zarate, Foggia, Kolarov, Pandev, Lichtsteiner to name a few, these are guys who are going to be big players in European football and with them we certainly have a bright future.

I liked one of the articles on Goal.com when the author said the balance of power is changing across the Tiber. It's great to get that kind of acknowledgement and really made me realise how far this team can go.

Can't wait for next season already. Forza Lazio!

We wouldn't see any more Lazio stars leaving Lazio an thats the good news. From now on the progress will go only up.

Forza Lazio, thx for bringing the faith back again.
