Pablo Ledesma is injured to November-December. no new Matuzalem thanks.

Zenga is young, we have a young squad. Maybe this helps? Another thing I've read is that he might likelytake Gianni Vio with him to Lazio, who is specialized in freekicks. Apart from Zārate, Ledesma and Kolarov, we have no ideas in these situations. This could give a good boost. I am still fan of Rossi, but I beleive in Zenga,so I will be ok with Zenga.

Just keep Rossi.. He is good tactitian, and is part of Lotito's "big plan" (I hope there is such a thing)..
The lack of good players is problem so far, so he couldn't do nothing special!!! Give him 30 milions and he will be good again!
Do you really think if (for example) Guardiola take Lazio to manage he will do better? I doubt...

Zenga sees Lazio just as a stepping stone. We don't need people like that. We need a guy who's dream is to coach us to be able to build the team knowing we have a long term coach.

With his last declaration,he can go to hell!!!I don't want another bastard mancini, then I prefer Lotito as a coach. How laziale would be our players,if their "boss" is a interista? No way!

Agree. If thats the option then I say stay with Rossi. Zenga is joke. Rossi has far more experience in serie a football and Cl. What Zenga has, few joke teams with no result.

That's quite harsh. He has done an excellent job at Catania. they have a poor team but have been punching above their weight. Some amazing results this year too including Palermo, Roma, us... Very Happy
Exactly. Having an absolutely sh!tty team, probably worse than Reggina and Lecce, Zenga managed to play almost equal to us, Lazio - that has players at least 3 times stronger.
Zenga has been a champion in Romania, and by nature he's a champion, as officially he's the 3rd best goalkeeper Italy has ever had in its history.
Zenga is charismatic, is sick in the head, and will beat the sh!t out of every Lazio player who doesn't perform (Ledesma).
Zenga is what we need, and if he doesn't perform next season, he can always be fired.

Lotito spent roughly 30 M last summer on transfers. So I expect him to spend at least as much this summer too. So what you wrote is not unrealistic, it's actually already happened.

Zenga? no way... is like taking Mimo Caso back... pls no
Don't be silly.

I think we are on dangerous ground here. Once you start repeating that Lotito spend money on the squad it becomes a myth who in turn people interpret as the truth. WHEN DID LOTITO SPEND 30M EURO?? WE SPENT LESS THEN 10MIL EURO (Probably not more then 5mil euro).

- Zarate was a loan deal in the region of 2,6mil euro (with an option to buy).
- Kolarov was <500 000euro
- Licht was <500 000euro (wasnīt he 300 000euro).
- Brocchi came as a bosman but his salary is probably around 2mil euro.

I want to know how anyone can turn this into 30mil euro.

@Centro where did you come up with these numbers? Did you make them up or what?

As far as I can remember, Kolarov cost us roughly 1 million euro, Lichtsteiner 1,8 million euro (although he could have used FIFA article 17 but Lotito agreed on a fee with Lille), Brocchi was a free transfer but his wages are about 900 000 euro per year.

Not to mention capture of Carizzo and loan fee of Zarate and Matuzalem. Very Happy

"Kolarov's switch from FK Čukarički to OFK Beograd in February 2006, during the 2005/06 season winter break, was highly controversial. Under contract with Čukarički at the time, Kolarov filed a request to be released dated January 31, 2006 on the grounds that his "contract just expired" even though it was good until January 2007. Soon after his request, Kolarov's desire to join OFK Beograd became public. Seeing that they had a disgruntled player on their hands, Čukarički set a €300,000 transfer fee for Kolarov due to the fact he still had one more year left on his contract with the club. OFK on the other hand did not even acknowledge this and simply signed Kolarov without paying any fee. Over the coming years Čukarički took the case in front of Serbian Football Association, where all of their official complaints got rejected.[4]

Year and a half later, in summer 2007, when Kolarov was sold by OFK Beograd to S.S. Lazio for €800,000, Čukarički president Aleksandar Mihajlović publicly stated that Kolarov "was stolen from Čukarički by OFK Beograd". For that, he was immediately punished by Serbian FA on the verbal delict grounds and given a 1 year ban on performing any functions in Serbian football."

Ok so I was wrong about the price of Kolarov but since he was bought in the summer of 2007 he shouldnīt even be acounted for in the 2008 /2009 mercato. Carizzo was bought ahead of our CL campaign.

So ahead of 2008 /2009

Loan

of Matuzalem and Zarate and Meghni.

Bosman Brochi

Bought

Licht and that dude from Liverpool

Hmmmm

Sounds like the mercato of a club in Serie B who wants to make it to serie A.

Brocchi wasn't signed on a free, his price was around 2m euros
Zarate for 2.3m euros (loan).
Radu for 4m euros.
Rozenahl 4m euros.
Matuzalem around 0.8m euros.
Lichsteiner around 1.8m euros.
Carizzo around 7.5m euros.
Kozak 1m euros.

So the total expendeture must have been around 21-22m euros.

We did make over 10m euros with the sales of Behrami and Mudingayi alone.

Could we please separate each mercato??

If someone was signed ahead of the 2007 /2008 season (like Carizzo) then we really canīt include him in the mercato for the 2008 /2009 season.

I really don't think Lotito had handed over any cash the previous summer before seeing whether or not the Carrizo deal could actually go through and since it took months (and the fact Lotito pays at the last possible minute) I think we can add it to the mercato 08/09.

Well you could. You could do just like Lotito does and go public saying he spent 14mil euro on Bianchi - even if it was clearly a lie. Lotio says the same thing every season - he spends millions and millions on players - but itīs all smoke and mirrors!!!

The Carizzo deal was the mother of all fuckups and left us with Balotta in the CL even when we had paid for the player.

Lazio hold Zenga meeting Wednesday 3 June, 2009

Lazio are set to hold a meeting with Walter Zenga about taking charge of the Biancocelesti next season, according to the Italian Press.

Zenga left Catania on May 24 after a very successful season and a half in which he kept the Elefanti up and steered them to a 15th place finish.

The 49-year-old former goalkeeper reportedly met with Lazio President Claudio Lotito last week and was offered a one-year deal worth Ģ400,000.

Lotito also wrote into the contract an option that would allow Zenga to extend his relationship with Lazio for another two years.

Only in the case of a negative reaction will Lotito pursue alternative candidates, among which are Davide Ballardini and Massimiliano Allegri.

Delio Rossi is still in charge of Lazio, but he appears ever closer to being shown the door despite winning the Coppa Italia last month.
