Welcome Mister.

As far as the comparison of Ballardini and Rossi is concerned, I think you are right to say that there is no change of quality.

However, more then anything else, Lazio needed fresh ideas, a fresh person in the dressing room.

UFFICIALE: BALLARDINI E' IL NUOVO ALLENATORE DELLA LAZIO
15.06.2009 10:40 di Alessandro Zappulla articolo letto 5077 volte
Fonte: lalaziosiamonoi.it

Pronto...Mister Ballardini?

Ma state già a Roma Mister?
“No ancora no..!”

State venendo oggi c’è l’appuntamento?

Arrivati Tare e Lotito...

Arriva l'ufficialità: BALLARDINI E' IL NUOVO ALLENATORE DELLA LAZIO...

IT'S BALLARDINI....!! GOTCHA LOTITO, WHAT A WAITING GAME *sigh cheers

Didn't Lotito say we wont hire other clubs rejects? Wasn't Balla rejected by Palermo?

No he wasnt a reject. Actually he was the first coach to reject Zamparini.
He said couple of matches before the season end that he will quit Palermo, despite being under contract for another year or two.

I find it sad to see/read sometimes. When we lose, he's the big bastard, when we win the Coppa, he's the big hero. When he's leaving, it's all Lotito's fault and Rossi should stay, when we get another one he can't possibly be good, he can't get worse than Rossi,...

Sad mentality. I prefer to look at the world in a positive way, I never screamed at/insulted Rossi, I thanked him for the derby wins and the Coppa Italia, and now I'm happy about the new trainer and I'm looking forward to a new beginning and hopefully a new era.

Forza Lazio!

I wonder what you will say if we don't win a derby, coppa or end lower than the 10th spot...

You are always in my opinion Lucky , there is no answer to all demands here , every time I want this , I want that , but why this , this is better and so on...
Just look forward and hope for the best , we need that change , and Lotito recently has made very wise decisions , why not another one - Ballardini.

PostSubject: Re: The new Trainer...is   Mon Jun 15, 2009 7:47 pm

Judging by his CV I'm not at all excited.

Here's why:
- He's never been at a top club and doesn't have any European Cup expierence.
- His head coach expierence so far only lasted 5 years
As a consequence he's yet to manage more than one season (we've signed a two-year contract), while his Serie A expierence is few weeks plus half a season with Cagliari and a season with Palermo.
- Palermo might have finished 7 points ahead of us but they've actually achieved nothing by doing that. Besides they lost the derby to Catania 0-4 and had some other rather disappointing results this season, for example losing to Ravenna in the Coppa Italia.

To his credit Palermo also managed to beat Juve, Milan and rioma this season, while last year he's done very well with Cagliari in the second part of the season. Having Osvaldo Bagnoli as 'mentor' is also nice but it's remains to be seen whether this will help much.

All in all he still has a lot to prove to fill in Delio Rossi's shoes. Having said all this, I wish him the best of luck.

Hopefully this change will give us a fresh start and Ballardini will succeed. At least we have a manager who can now plan for the transfer market and pre-season.
