They wanted him to resign but I think he refused. Nothing is official until Reja arrives in Rome to sign the contracts but I hope for the club's sake that piece of smelling as Ballardini does end up resigning. He's done enough damage.

Why would he resign? He loses about half a million in compensation if he does. He has a family to support, he is not an idiot.

I genuinely think the guy wants the sack. His comments in recent interviews says that.

I wouldn't resign in his shoes either, but as a Lazio fan I would very much like him to do so.

Of course but if he resigned, he would go unpaid, would be unable to work for at least 4 months, he has to move out of Formello anyway with his 3 kids. I'd rather he resigned but not resigning is not disrespectful in my opinion.

You're not wrong. Financially it would be very bad for him and his family to resign.

Nonetheless, I look at this more from a Lazio perspective and besides, he probably owns a house in Ravenna with enough money saved up to go a few months unemployed. He is hardly a poor man.

I agree not resigning wouldn't be disrespectful, but knowing he'll continue to be paid for leaving us in this mess hurts a bit.
