Lotito interview:

President are you going to sell the 3 players?

NO

Sir La Lazio is selling the Players?

NO and you u don't understand my first answer! The players wants to go! If they want they can but at my price!

What is this? If they want to go and they don't find anyone ( team) they will be fixed with an hammer on the tribuna seats for the whole season!

Have fun guy!

Lotito is right!Especially in the case of Ledesma and LDS!Ledesma is not a laziale,he could join riiiomma too,I don't care! And regarding LDS:I was totally wrong!Only Pandev deserves a better treatment, but I will blame him too,if he remains in Serie A.I know he made a lot for Lazio, but don't forget,Lazio gave him a name!

pandev refused to go to Zenit for 14 mil for lazio and 4 mil per season for him and that is is evidence that pandev is not for money hungry he wants to play for some bigger club who will play constantly in CL and to prove his name in the world of football.

and that is reason why lotito is angry because 14 mil are gone

well...maybe the players have some frustration...Lotito wait for the last moment to give him new contract...Pato played in Milan just 6 months with salary of 3mil and now he get a new contract with salary of 4mil...maybe some teams can estimate they own players at the right value...i blame 90% Lotito and 10% (Pandev and Ledesma) and i don't know much about Silvestri case...

These players have CONTRACTS where they put pen on paper and agreed to their respective salaries. The contrcat does not include dates on which the president HAS TO renew.

The players should respect their contracts and start thinking before they sign.

Do they deserve a raise and to be handled earlier? Of course, but its not an obligation, you still have time on it and as long as you are offered a deal before it expires then you should suck it up.

Lotito is great when it comes to delaying, now hes paying the price.

They were offered deals and they refused, the deal were offered with a year left for expiry, so i dont see why lotito should take most of the blame. They want out so fuk em.

Your post made absolutely no sense.

First you say that Lotito is paying the price and then you say fuck the player?

I would like to smack anyone that says fuck you to Goran Pandev as he ALWAYS gave everything for the club. You can not say that a player who pulls as much weight as Pandev etc doesn´t deserve to be paid accordingly. Well this is what is going to happen a) Pandev goes at a discount price this mercato or b) Pandev goes for free next year. Either way Lotito /lazio loses alot of money and gains alot fo badwill.

What has already happened is that players, agents and other clubs recognize Lazio as a club with zero money and a president who knows nothing about football - nobody will want to do business with us.

Exactly, and not only that. You missed the typical lotito's "I'm the only smart guy" arrogance and the many arguments he had with presidents and agents and Lazio players so far (remember Peruzzi, Di Canio, Filippini, Sereni, Bianchi...). The number of people ready to do business with Lazio is collapsing year by year... and that's worrying.

We're quite famous as being zero-money isn't it? If Lotito doesn't know football at all I doubt he can bring in the number of players which flourished now. Although I would agree with you the arrogance is a bit too much, the decline in business with us can't be all attributed to him. Be fair, you could always blame everything on him but you should be a little bit open-minded.

Lotito is our main problem. The largest and the most significant detail which is making us suffer. There will be a life after Lotito, just hoping for his reign to end...praying everyday for him to "dissappear" - at least from my beloved club.

Before asking someone to be "a little bit open minded", perhaps you should look at yourself and try to move away from your clueless status.

As far as I know, the quality of a team does not rely on the "flourishing number" of players, but on the "quality" of the players. Concerning the business, lotito is not investing anything on Lazio. He took us with the only aim to exploit us, and so far he has been a perfect executor of its policy (never heard about his agreement on Lazio shares with his friend Mezzaroma, for which he was given 2 years prison?) . He had one great chance, when we qualified for the CL, to improve the team, but he did never consider it, missing a great opportunity. His arrogance is known worldwide.

Please tell us who are the people co-responsible of the decline in Lazio business, since I'm not so open-minded to understand...

Did I talk about flourishing number of players would improve the team? I guess I didn't so let's leave it.
Lotito sometimes did exploit Lazio but to do exploits he has to make sure it generates profit, which I'm sure he still got the motive to make the club better. After all, a better clubs generates more revenue for himself to exploit isn't it? You're right I know little about Mezzaroma but I know little about our potential takeovers too so I'll leave it.
Improving the team for the CL is a massive gamble. You over invest, still you might crash out, players want to leave at a loss then everything's done till now is wasted.
Arrogance? Agreed but what can we do? We can certainly go riot like the milan fans does. But they know thatwouldn't get Galliani + Berlus down like we know Lotito won't go without a new investor.
Who are the ppl co-responsible for the decline in Lazio business? Pretty much everyone contributes. No one people would be a sole cause to a decline of something. I wouldn't think Galliani and Berlus are the only ppl who are responsible of their messy summer too. yeh?

Maybe nothing, in your perspective. Love the way you judge others by your standard, that's marvellous.
But then, if a potential takeover's there I'm happy for them to take down lotito. Hopefully a better option will emerge yeh.

razio, I am not judging anyone, nor I have any intention to offend people. You first asked me to be a bit more open minded, to then admit yourself, and also show it in your posts, that you know little about what's behind Lazio's headquarter.

I didn't want to reply to your post, but since you asked it, here we are:

You could make an effort and try at least to be consistent with the arguments of your president: when he refused to reinforce the team for the CL, he said that "the team is already competitive, the players who qualified deserve to stay, we'll only buy 3 big names"... but then he was let down by a faxing machine yeh, do you remember?. He didn't mention overinvesting, did he?

Saying that "pretty much everyone contributes to Lazio's business decline" is just ridiculous, since even the walls at Formello know that lotito is the one, the "almighty", that took charge of all the aspects of Lazio business, from the transfers market to the players' underwear laundry yeh?.

About exploiting Lazio, lotito has already unveiled its plan, which is related to the pressure over Roma city council to change the destination of use of its lands on the tiberina area. Apart from that, I don't know which Economics course you took, perhaps you should complain since they teach that a firm that does not invest is a firm that will generate profits.

Finally, let me say, once again, that I could not care less if other people love lotito. I am not trying to change your mind. Perhaps time will do.

And please, stop quoting me because another thing I hate is wasting time :). Thanks.

Paolo Di Canio: - "Claudio Lotito's Player Threats Damage Football"
Former Lazio star Paolo Di Canio has criticised president Claudio Lotito's hard-line policies, claiming they are damaging Calcio.
Lotito reacted with fury when he discovered a number of players including Goran Pandev and Cristian Ledesma were ready to pack their bags. The chief said he would "nail players who wanted to leave to the bench."
Di Canio, who played for Lotito between 2004 and 2006, feels the chief needs to tone down his comments.
- "I think what Lotito has been saying is really grave," Di Canio told Sky Sport Italia.
- "He has publicly said he will hold really good players like Pandev and Ledesma hostage. This is not good for football. In addition, he could face sanctions from the authorities with the severity of his comments."
- "I think the authorities need to take action as Lotito is always repeating his threats with more severity each time. It's not good for football whatsoever."
