It's a shame, but I can't feel sorry for them. We all knew RB were the better side with better fitness levels so if the gameplan was to keep it at 0-0, it was foolish and they paid the ultimate price. If their intention was to score then they failed and went one better and conceded scratch

I know there's a lack of experience, perhaps a lack of quality (although I'm not so sure about that) but the opportunity was there and I just feel they didn't go about their business in the right way.

A Case of so near yet so far in terms of potential seeding.

They may as well have lost that last game 6-0 in terms of how the seeding structure operates.

But tonight the Irish game can gain back some pride.

I would expect Derry City to be able to finish the job at home to Skonto Riga.

St Pat's have to score in Valleta, and overturn the 1-1, but i believe they can do this.

That's the thing, our teams are starting to get closer and closer to a breakthrough. It's only a matter of time.

But we need a dominant team in Ireland to kickstart the League and I'm not sure if Bohs are the team to do it.

Iīm from Austria and I know that Zagreb is the better team than Red Bull Salzburg. The times when Sturm Graz was playing in the CL - they are over.
I canīt imagine that Salzburg will qualify for the CL. Zagreb is to hard for them.

The days Dinamo Zagreb qualified for the CL are long over too. One of them is about to turn the corner.

It will be a fascinating encounter.

(edit: is there another round for "champions" as well as "non-champions?")

Ha!

After watching Dinamo almost break their teeth on Pjunik and tremble until the 2nd goal was scored I can't share your sentiments on this Salzburg-Dinamo being a fascinating encounter.

The stakes may be high for both clubs, but I can't expect the level of football to match it, well at least from the Dinamo perspective. Years of selling the hottest prospects and raping the national league for any young talent only to see them benched for the likes of washed up "stars" like Papadopoulos (who?) and some dubious talents from Brazil, Dinamo may be the dominant force in the croatian league but it's quickly becoming the sign of the league deteriorating instead of clubs prospering.

I expect a very very tight game with a maximum of 3 goals spread over the 2 games.

If my research is right, there's actually another round for the winners; Bohemians would have been screwed if they made it that far.

I meant fascinating in terms of the winner Sile. It's been 10 years since either country had a CL regular.

Should be a great encounter, but I think Salzburg will edge it by one goal over the two legs, and then they will have a fantastic chance of making the group stages.

And unsurpisingly so. Dinamo's record in the former Uefa Cup suggests that if by some miracle they do progress they'll be the punching bag in whichever group they find themselves in. Unless Dinamo gets a group with all-Dutch teams because over the last years they only managed to beat Ajax and Nec Nijmegen, losing to each and every other respectable european team. That includes Brann.

FK Baku 0 - 0 Levski Sofia

Suprising result to say the least.

But im sure Levski should finish the job off at home.

Both teams played awful. Baku had some great chances to score but Georgi Petkov (Levski's keeper) saved the team. Levski were really weak in the bulgarian league last season and the main reason why the won the championship was that the other teams made more mistakes then they did. Now Levski showed that they still are in a really bad form and if they keep playing like this they won't be able to make a good season in Europe ...

Great result for Dinamo, can't see Celtic overturning that in Moscow.

What a result for Poli Timisaora though, 2-2 away to Shakhtar. The winner of that tie will cause a big team trouble in the next round, make no mistake about that.

What a frantic game in Salzburg, surely one to prove me wrong about my prediction. A great game by Dinamo Zagreb, tons of chances, Red Bull had theirs too but capitalized only through a massive error by the Dinamo defense.

The highlight of the game was the 90th minute.
Please, either read this or watch the highlights.

The game was suspended while an injured Dinamo player was receiving treatment. There was a small brawl between a Dinamo and RBS player and the Dinamo player faked being struck by the RBS player. The ref came and awarded both players a yellow card (second yellow for the Dinamo player)
All the while the fans were throwing object onto the pitch, attempting to hit the Dinamo player, and they managed to do so, only to see the object ricochet oh his head and strike the assistant ref and cutting him above the eye, and the best part is the ref didn't even notice, the player was showing him with the finger that he was struck, it was such a weird situation.

In the end, a fair result, looking forward to the 2nd leg.

If you're wondering if Sile has lost the plot, then you can confirm he hasn't by watching the video below. Unbelievable.

Dynamo Firmly in the driving seat, but if Celtic can score the first goal, then its open again.

TM is known for his attacking football, so if he can get it together, this tie is not ever, far from it.

However if Dynamo score first things could prove difficult.
