Ibra to Barca for 40mil Euro + Eto'o & they're throwing in Hleb on loan aswell.

Possibly the worst transfer deal in history, Barca got owned in this one, i think they got trigger happy after seeing Real's big spending.

Don't know how official it is, but the deal is not very good for Barcelona.

Ibrahimovic is a top player and would add even more quality to the club, but for 40 million Euros, plus Eto'o and Hleb on loan, I don't think its a good deal. I like Eto'o and I believe he offers more to Barca than Zlatan would if he joined. Hleb flopped at Barcelona last season so whatever, he can leave. I would have much rather preferred David Villa to join.

Barca have a lot of money and that isn't a problem for them. They wanted to get rid of Eto'o and they have done it. They also wanted to loan out or sell Hleb and they did it. Ibra is a top class player and I'm happy he changed Inter with Barcelona.
They didn't take Villa because Valencia weren't ready to sell him. They rejected a 40 mln offer + Keirrison (on loan) so that meant that they wanted to keep him for atleast 1 more year. Villa has also said that if he doesn't go to Barca he will stay for another year.

For me a great deal for Inter.

Eto'o is a world class forward, Hleb will be a first teamer if he rediscover's his old form, and 40 Million Euro's to invest in a quality attacking midfielder.

There is more to all this than we know. Barca are desperate to offload Eto'o.

They apparently offered 40million euro + Eto'o (Edit: Keirrison on loan, not Eto'o) for Villa - rejected
They apparently offered 36million euro + Eto'o (Edit: I've heard it mentioned but clearly not true) for Forlan - rejected
They apparently offered 48million euro + Eto'o for Ibarhamiovic - accepted

This is not simply a case of using Eto'o as a bargaining chip. There is more than what meets the eye here.

Guardiola has praised him and said this is a matter of keeping a successful squad fresh but he has basically told him that Inter have the money to satisfy him.

In other words, I think Sammy is happy to pick up a nice sum of cash at a CL winning club but would be all too willing to leave for nothing at the end of his contract for the first team that offers a big some of money. Hence Barca's immediate desire to get rid of him.

Eto'o and Milito are far to similar, so for me, the biggest victor in this whole scenario could be Marko Arnautovic.

I Cant see how Milito & Eto'o can play together in Europe, they can pull it off in Serie-A.

But when Marko Arnautovic gets fit, i can see him playing with Eto'o and perhaps Milito could play a little deeper.

I think they offered the loan of Keirssion + 40 Million Euro's for Villa.

Dont think Valencia could affoard Eto'o's wages.

Yeah, apologies. That's what I meant. Had an Eto'o brainfreeze.

I also think Barca's actual bid for Forlan was less than his 36million buy-out clause and didn't contain Eto'o...but I did hear that offer being mentioned drunken

Point is, they are desperately trying to get rid and there has to be a reason for that. Barca are not normally bad in the business stakes.

Well got the point Caxi.

If I remember well the same thing happen last season. The only good offer was from Azerbaijan if I'm right.

However I wonder why Barca want so desperately to sell him.

Uzbekistan i think it was. Sorry I Dont mean to be hateful in correecting people today Embarassed

Yeah, Eto'o would run his contract out, and leave for free which Barca want to avoid at all costs.

I believe that Julio Cesar won them the Scudetti. Ibra is so overrated, he can be replaced.

Yeah, I agree it's a very good deal by Inter. Eto'o is a better goalscorer than Ibrahimovic and maybe a better player overall. But I won't go so far to call Ibra overrated.

Not by all it means"Overrated" i think he's a great player all in all ! but he's been called a GOD , and thats not true ! i think if he goes to barca he will create problems he will cancel the likes of messi iniesta xavi henry ... they will be his shadow unless guardiola doesnt play him ! because this kind of players always need the ball in his feet and he's selfish ! at inter he made Cambiasso/stankovic/muntari/ and all the others as his shadow !! be aware BARCA

Yeah, time will tell us. Honestly I don't think Zlatan fit in Barça's game plan, he doesn't work so much in the defence which all eleven do in Barcelona. In Inter he had a kind of free role which suited him very well. Serie A is the better league for him, but I guess he wants to try something new. I anyhow hope that he will acclimatize himself fast to the Spanish football, against the weaker teams it should be no problem, but we'll see how he make it in the big matches.

in barca he will score much easyer than in inter, also he s asists will be finished better than in inter,i dont agree that he is selfish(maybe he s problem was to be little bit selfish and to shots (not asists much more)).
laporta start to lose pation with eto,the new deal it s 75 milion plus hleb.
