(wakes up from Summer slumber)

Finally, a solid transfer even...as everyone else has mentioned...he's a bit older. He's still deadly and knows how to command the pitch. He will NOT hurt us. We only stand to gain from obtaining Cruz. I can't remember who posted it above (Testa), but he has a great track record for finding the back of the net. Something that we have needed help on in the past. So, I'm fine with him signing and giving us his devotion for 1 year. Plus, playing on two fronts, we can use his leadership. He's smart with the ball and doesn't make too many mistakes. Mistakes are what have cost us in the past. He's not all of our answers of course, but he's def. a solid addition in my book. Can't wait to see him play this weekend against his old team. Inter Merda.

Forza Cruz!!!!

Forza Lazio!

With respect zoran, you can't compare the two because they belong to different generations and Cruz has achieved much more than Pandev probably ever will. Cruz in does not necessarily mean Pandev out, but I honestly believe he is a better option for our forward line this season, despite his age. He will not be a sub for Rocchi unless Ballardini is nuts; Cruz may be a few years older but he's a much better player and arguably more mobile.

yes and Cruz was playing in Inter, maybe that's why he has achieved much more, meanwhile Pandev was playing for 5 years in Lazio together with Ledesma for less than 500k per year and now Lotito bring Brocchi for over 1.5mil per year and Cruz for over 1.6mil per year...I just cant understand that Lotito's attitude...
i start liking Pandev when he sign for Lazio and i will like after, not cuz' his my nationality - because he was best Lazio player in the last 3 years and bring the trophy Cup...and yes i think that he will achieved Cruz glory and maybe more - he has 10 more years of playing...

Im not saying that Cruz is no good...im just saying is to old and i cant see playing in the same game together with Rocchi...so one if them will be on the bench.

I don't think Cruz is too old. His english equivalent would be someone like Teddy Sheringham and he knocked in goals at the top level when he was 39, 40. Rocchi is not the same kind of player and I actually expect his career at the top level to end around the same time as Cruz' if not before.

Maybe they can't play together but I don't mind; they shouldn't be displacing Zarate so Julio gives us more options.

Maybe he is old but he have been in the game for a long time and have a lot to share to the other younger players in the team and since we sign him for 1 year, what do we have to loose? If he play good and score, very good for us and if he not play as well just let him go next year.
Atleast we get him 1 year with all the xp he got and hope someone can laern from it. Very Happy

I'ts not fair to comment like this for someone who gave all he can for Lazio!
Lotito should give him what he deserves.. I personaly respect Cruz very much, BUT he will never ever be nearly good as Pandev..

Cruz is better than Pandev. Cruz played at Inter for many years. Pandev was sorted out of Inter, because they didnīt need him.

Goran wasnīt in a "big" club yet. He doesnīt know what it means to do all for the starting eleven. At Lazio he had it easy. There were no other real good strikers.

If heīs going to a club where he have to fight for his starting place, he will cry that he wants to come home to us - like so many other players before him.
If heīs really going to Inter next year, heīs not going to play. Heīs not better than Eto and Milito. One year later - you can read in the news that he wants to come back...

The only one player in our squad who would have it easier for the starting eleven in a "big" club is Zarate. Not for sure, but easier.

i just can't stand some people who have fish memory...Pandev play in Lazio for 5 years, Cruz haven't play neither one game for Lazio and he is Inter waste and some people here appreciate more Cruz than Pandev...that's so dishonour...and someone will ask why the money r most important for the players...
- that's because there is to many people like this.

Dishonour is begining when a player (and his agent - he said that 7 of the last 8 CL teams want Pandev - and now??!!) mean they can do everything.
Pandev did a lot, but this is over. Pandev is not the future. He wants away - than he should go. Cruz wants to play at Lazio. Pandev doesnīt want anymore. Why should everybody fall in tears??!!!

And the fact is, that Cruz did play for a "big" club, and Pandev not. Pandev was a hero at Lazio. At Lazio he is a player who is beloved by the fans. He is an hero at Lazio.

Pandev will end like other players (Cesar, etc.) if he leaves for a "bigger" club.

I thank Pandev what he did for our club, but itīs false when somebody says, that "Cruz will never ever be nearly good as Pandev".

EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO LEAVE OUR CLUB, HE SHOULD GO. WE DON'T NEED PLAYERS WHO DON'T GIVE ALL THERE HEART FOR LAZIO.
And if we are playing with Inzaghi, Manfredini and all the other players who are not very good players - if they play with more heart - than they should play instead of Pandev, De Silvestri and Ledesma!

I can note that you write all the time "big" club. What is "big" club? Is Man.City a big club? Cesar played in Inter and he did well.. My humble opinion is that if someone plays with squad that is more superior than other teams in the league, than he can have more chances to score, to win, to expand his game.... Its easyer when your midfield can create chances..

I thank Pandev what he did for our club, but itīs false when somebody says, that "Cruz will never ever be nearly good as Pandev".

I said that and would like to explain why.
Pandev is a player that can play on diferent positions in the attack (AML/AMC/amr/FL), he is among top players in Europe according to tehnique as one of most important football parameters. The guy has great football inteligence, he do not waste opportunities! Pandev is also great dribbler.. He managed to score >11 goals per season in last 4 years, and made many ass. also. He is modern player, he can bag 3goals to R.Madrid in 2 games, he plays without respect to defenders, his top priority is to create chances-not to score!!! If he played for Inter or other team with superior players then ours (I suppose this is "big" team) he could manage to put much more.

Cruz is "narrow" player his only goal is to score! And, so far he is doing that with great sucess and I have no complaints.. But, modern football doesnt tolerate this kind of players.. Dont tell me stories about the trofies that he manage to get to with Inter, can you remember the time when he played for Bologna? DId he get something then? How much did he score?

I have atmost respect for Julio, but only thing can say is that "Cruz will never ever be nearly good as Pandev". And we can ask Rocchi or Zarate at the end of the season who was better partner in front.

Forza Lazio, Forza Julio and Pandev

Pandev is a different player to Julio, Pandev is more close to Zarate as a player. Cruz is an alternative to Rocchi you cant really compare them altough both are effective in their positions. Pandev had some great seasons while Cruz's goal history in Inter says it all in the limited amount of chances he had.

Both of them are important, Cruz is not a replacement for Pandev. Pandev creates, Cruz finishes them. Altough I prefer Pandev as a player Cruz is what we need right now.

Sounds like a good plan to get us straight to Serie B.

I think itīs more interesting to find out what about the club they donīt like.

If Lotito can pay 20mil euro + 2mil euro salary for Zarate then I think other players will be upset.

Many users here want Lazio to play in Serie B because they think that Lotito must sell the club then, and we would get a new president. Very Happy

I donīt care about what Lotito is doing.

I only want that our players are fighting on the pitch, and do all they can for Lazio. And if in Serie B - o.k.

I donīt like players who think that - Lotito words - Lazio is a taxi, which they can take off and then again on if they want to.

Players who want to leave, should leave. They havenīt got their brain at our club. They are only thinking of a new club - so they donīt give their best for our club.
