4 Beautiful goals, A total football clinic against the "unbeatable" gold coast united, Another fantastic win, and we are 5 points clear top of the table!

Carlos Hernandez is good enough to play in a bigger European league I think, has always been a good player with an excellent shot.

Kris, Testa, LazioSS and everyone else..... have you guys watched any games recently..... I watched the NQ Fury versus Perth Glory last night. Must say I enjoyed the game, so many chances (especially in the first half for the Fury).

Saw highlights of last weekends match between Gold Coast and Central Coast. The sub Barisic made a huge impact. Good assist and well taken goal - right place, right time. Good to see Kiwi Shane Smeltz continuing his fine form heading into the WC Wink

Sad to see Adelaide down in last place, I've always liked them (after the Phoenix off course).

Today the Phoenix take on 2nd place Sydney at home in Wellington! cheers

Go Victory!!!!!! 6-2 over the hackers from Perth!

& Gold Coast beat Sydney 1-0.

This season is getting very tight up top, But i still think Melbourne will win the minor premiership.

Enjoy Lads.....

Hahaha..... I like the caption Kris.

Should be a good game. Its really important for the Phoenix if they want to get into the play offs, and for the Victory if they want to be the minor premieres. Looking forward to it.

Watch out for Eugene Dadi. He's been on fire recently. Sort of like our very own Sergio Floccari.....

Watched this game. That new Costa Rican Angulo looks the goods.

Kris, any chance you know someone at Victory who would consider swapping Carlos Hernandez for Makinwa or Manfredini?

Even if Lotito offered both players + cash, i think we'd hang onto El Zorro.

Thanks for the offer Kire but I'd prefer to stick it out with the Phoenix even though I don't live in Wellington (its the only football team NZ can afford so I support them 100%) Wink

As for the Australian sides, I've always liked Adelaide. And also the Queensland teams because that's the only state I've been in, and also I have friends in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

I think Bridge Bhoy called it a while ago... But Carlos Hernandez is too good for this league, i have a feeling some European club will come calling very soon. Last night, with several first team players out, he single handedly held the midfield and knocked in 2 goals for the win.

FORZA EL ZORRO!

I agree Kris. Carlos Hernandez is too good for the A-League. No doubt some European clubs will try to sign him in the summer. Realistically, what clubs (or leagues) do you think he would do well in?

Not a fast paced league with high skill level, so you can rule out England.

If its the European path he takes, I think the natural progression may be a move to a top Belgian club or even a mid table Dutch or Bundesliga outfit. Serie B is definatley on the cards, i could see him fit well in a newly promoted Serie A team for next year too? That level would surely test him, but he could come out with flying colours? (I've seen a lot worse than him in Serie A).

On a different tangent, there may be more of a chance that Japanese J-league & Korean K-League sides are watching? He could go to a Urawa Reds or Nagoya Grampus and destroy in that league. His salary in Japan would also be similar to that of a big Euro club, circa $1mil per year.

On a side note, Thanks to my buddies across the tasman Wink (I knew you Kiwi's were good for something) Gold Coast are no chance to be minor premiers. It all comes down to the last round, and 1st plays 2nd. All we need is a draw, and with our injury ravelled side, its going to be tough. But i think we can pinch a point to seal up the premiers title.

CMON MELBOURNE! YOU CAN DO IT!

I saw the game last night. Well done to the Phoenix! cheers

With that win the team is 1 win away from securing a home semi final - which would be beyond belief. Hope Ricki Herbert and the boys can do it!

As for Hernandez I thought the same. I also think he would do well in a league like Belgium or Holland. Other options might by Greece, Russia, one of the Scandinavian leagues; maybe even a mid table German side.

Wellington 3 - 0 Central Coast

cheers cheers cheers

This means the Phoenix have made it to the semi finals for the first time in the clubs short history - and with a home semi at the Cake Tin to top it off as well! The Phoenix haven't lost a home game there since November 2008!

Come on boys..... all the way!!!!!

I will be in Sydney for this match, A lonesome Melbourne boy, in a pub somewhere full of Sky Blue Tards. I have a feeling there is going to be trouble
